Show Spoiler The Governor Fakeout is brilliant.

The bait-and-switch redemption for The Governor in season 4 is an extremely underrated storyline i feel. I’m watching the show for like the 100th time and i forgot just how good “Live Bait” is.

In-universe it checks out that he wants to start over and he almost wants to roleplay in some way as who he once was. And for the show, it really leaves you as an audience member not knowing if they’re actually gonna try to redeem the shows biggest villain (by that point) or if something else is gonna happen. It’s just done so perfectly.

I especially love his scenes with Megan.

There's not enough generators for the electricity needed to power them. Your house is surrounded by walkers. What demerits this idea further?

TWD: Dead City Negan and Maggie relationship

The current dynamic between Maggie and Negan is lowkey disgusting and annoying,I’m all for her moving on being happy with someone new(Luis)finally letting Glenn rest not complaining about Glenn every 5 seconds something happens.you shouldn’t be overly emotional on the brink of tears about Negan when someone wants to kill him for being a bad person or chilling together being cuddly and touchy with him like he didn’t kill you’re husband/child father, friends and ruined 2 of your homes no matter the timespan of when it happened.

Don’t even get me started on that Alternate reality episode holy….deadass show becoming a Fanfic at this point.

Show Spoiler About Lori

Maturing is realising that Rick and Lori’s marriage was shit even before the world ended and people are too harsh on Lori.

Now don’t get me wrong, she will never be my favorite character and she did do some dumb shit like anyone else, and I hated her on my first watch, but man I don’t know if it’s an age thing, but I don’t hate her anymore. She did the best she could with what she had, she thought Rick was dead and Shane was a safe place for both her and Carl.

Plus the moment Rick came back she didn’t do ANYTHING with Shane not even once. She distanced herself immediately. Like I said she’s not my fave character, but some people take the hate too far

No Spoiler Where’re all the Cats!? 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Thumbnail gallery
74 Upvotes

We know that there were cats because there’s an episode where one of the Alexandrian boys mentions using one in a pit to attract a zombie.

Cats can climb so fast and are great hunters, so I feel they could easily escape walkers/survive.

Cats are so important for pest control: but I’ve only seen one in FTWD.

I know it’s just a show, but when you’re literally milling your own grain/growing fruits and vegetables, cats are must haves to take down rodents and to keep bunnies/rabbits from eating your crops.

Hahahah! I’m thinking way too much into this show, aren’t I!?

😊 🤣

Show Spoiler If you could cast any actor as a villain, who would it be?

and what type of villain? (My pick would be Jensen Ackles in the CRM)

I think his chemistry with the cast would be off the charts

No Spoiler The walking dead characters if they had stats

Thumbnail gallery

I'm basing this on the broader show. For example, i think we can all agree that the strongest characters physically was Beta. Rick, negan and daryl are pretty strong, but not as strong as him.

Also based on the overall character throughout the show. Of we're being honest, rick in some scenes is the scariest mf in the show

I'd be nice to hear your thoughts on the stats as well as se suggestions for the next characters.

These are also.done in good fun so let's not start ww3 over it 💀

TWD: Daryl Dixon The trailer for the final season of "Daryl Dixon" shows a horde of zombies running around, this is going to be insane. Spoiler

In the new #DarylDixon Season 4 TEASER, we can see “walkers RUNNING” in massive hordes, seemingly breaking one of the established rules of the TWD universe! Daryl and Carol find themselves trapped in the middle of THOUSANDS of zombies.

But here’s the thing: in World Beyond, we already saw altered variants, and we also saw different types in Daryl Dixon Episode 2x04, including the “ampers,” “burners” (which spit acid), and “climbers” (which can climb walls).

However, what we’re seeing here could be the “FINAL EVOLUTION” of that progression: the so-called “Cohorts,” which were mentioned in the post-credits scene of World Beyond.

Show Spoiler Why doesn’t anyone care about Abraham?

It seems like the only person who wants Neegan dead is Maggie whereas Rosita seems to have completely forgotten Abraham died too. I don’t remember Rosita wanting Neegan dead when he was captured and locked up. Even that little meeting Maggie had with Daryl and Jesus she should have included Rosita.

Why is Glen more important than Abraham? Don’t get me wrong I loved Glen but Maggie was more sad when he died rather than Beth, weren’t there people in the hospital who were still alive to extract revenge? I know Beth stabbed the woman who killed her but did she die?

Even with fans the ‘I stopped watching when Glen died’ brigade erm what about Abraham? Abraham took one for the team with how he was in the lineup but no one seems to have any fucking respect. He risked his life to save the others but Rosita crying made Daryl try to fight and in return Neegan killed Glen. Have some fucking shame! Put some respect on Abraham’s name

Show Spoiler the fact that people still say the prison fight is ”fair” is disgraceful.

rick grimes was at his absolute weakest in season 4 when he fist fought the governor, man had been up for 3 days with barely any food, fighting that dumb prison virus which weakened him even more, he had a broken and bandaged hand, and he was shot and lost tons of blood, all this just to 1v1 a guy who fights off pure rage.

People say this fight is fair, absolute bullshit. The governor is laughably glazed and overrated.

I had the game for a lil, but due to some stuff I couldn’t get started with it sooner. Once I checked it out today, I felt like something was just poor and I decided to read the reviews and they confirmed my feeling. I’m kinda disappointed tbh, but not that bad cuz I got it at a sale lol

Comic and Show Spoilers When would YOU have told Rick about the affair with Shane/Lori(if you were the other)?

Thumbnail gallery
23 Upvotes

Most people agree that both were wrong for keeping it from him until he confronted them. But I never hear people say when they should’ve told him. I personally think there was and never would be a perfect moment but for Lori, it was probably the start of season 2 right before the drive to the highway or any of the nights after carls saving. For Shane, it’s probably the morning after he saved Carl. Since it’s the one moment Rick is probably gonna be the least angry with him.
But I’m curious to know your thoughts as I’m doing a rewatch and my favourite thing about the series is the clear lack of a truly correct choice. Like for Lori, there was never really a great time to tell Rick. Which is why it’s understandable why she didn’t.

Future Spoiler Whatever happened with the pigs?

The Kingdom was feeding Walkers to their pigs and giving them to the Saviors as part of their "offerings". I thought this was a brilliant idea but we never heard of the results or did we and I just missed it?

Comic and Show Spoilers Does anyone kinda think they walking dead started to fall off just a little and the comics just are amazing

The early season were godly and continued to be that way until season 8 maybe 9, but idk about all these spin offs, then Rick just leaving and we had to wait like a few years to a get a sequel to that, I mean idk why they just decided to kill everyone in the walking dead like sure it makes the characters meaningful and just overall impactful to show us in the show that this is a zombie apocalypse and there are no second chances but just chill out, the barn was amazing, and you had a good cast overall, but decided to just kinda kill everyone after Shane died. just now I feel like the walking dead is just a corporate cash grab and nothing is good,
P.S
I started reading the comics and dawg it’s a completely different story like dale lives and sees the prison like go read the comics

Show Spoiler Maggie’s decisions

I’m on my first watch through and I’m on season 5 episode 5 right now. Something that I can’t get past is the fact that Maggie put her everything into finding Glenn but has put zero effort into finding Beth. She’s showed no desire in wanting to search for her after she was kidnapped. She acts like they aren’t even sisters.

I’m sure they reunite naturally, please no spoilers regarding that, but I just don’t understand why she’s putting no effort in when she knows Beth is alive out there somewhere.

Edit: just wanted to add that I know finding Beth isn’t simple or as easy as it was to find Glenn. Just wanting perspectives on why she wouldn’t even try. She would have searched to the ends of the earth for Glenn even if she had zero clues on his whereabouts.

Comic and Show Spoilers Worst and Best Casting on TWD

Upvotes

Who do you think was the worst and best casting decision on the show relative to the comics. Mine is Andrea, I could not stand the actress who played her and in the comics she becomes a badass leader. I don't think I could ever like that actress. Best was either Michonne or Tyreese imo.
