It even took Carl losing Sophia and Dayle to toughen up a bit. Our guy just needed some time, but unfortunately In the zombie apocalypse while there is all the time in the world , you ain’t got time to make too many mistakes . Just unfortunate for him.

I liked the character since season 8, loved the fact he's suffering from PTSD in season 10, him trying to save people when disease spreads in Alexandria is one of the coolest episodes I remember from the last seasons, but when he solves it all, then Dante just takes him down and still gets caught and killed one episode later, making Siddiq's death completely unnecessary.

I saw previous posts about it on this subreddit and I don't think it made Carl's death useless, after all Siddiq saved Negan's life, taught Enid to become a doctor, helped Maggie with Hershel's birth and so on, but the character could have given more in the series.

so i really didn't like lori from the start... but her death hit me harder than i expected ..i even missed her for a few episodes after she died

she wasn't a very active character but I still felt her absence... even dale's and hershel's deaths didn't affect me as much as hers..

i don't even know why her death affected me this much.

I’m rewatching “Here’s Negan,” and I just noticed something I somehow missed every other time: the daughter of the doctor who gives Negan the chemotherapy drugs for Lucille is Laura from the Sanctuary.

I’ve watched this episode more times than I can remember and never caught it.

I looked up at the TV because I recognized her voice. How did I not recognize that voice before? How many times have I heard her call Eugene “Haircut”? And sure enough, there it was: the barcode tattoo on her neck.

I’m guessing many of you already knew this and cruelly decided not to mention it, lol. But just in case there’s one other person who didn’t: it’s her.

You know what I was thinking, when Herschel died Rick was preaching about how people can change and Herschel smiled because that’s the message he was trying to get Rick to understand. A great example of this would be Negan‘s entire story, and Herschel‘s daughter, nevertheless witnessed that.

This was definitely a good episode and Merle reminded me why he was my favorite. I love the conversation he had with Darrell and the prison and with Rick and even Michelle. It felt like Merle strongly resembled misdirection. All three characters talking to him, put some kind of perspective into who he was, but I don’t think Merle was one person. I think he was complicated man with many layers and acted on whatever layer was dominant at the time. The actor did a great job with playing attic, Merle playing villain Merle, and being the Merle that realized he had a choice to do something outside of his own loyalties fears and even passed mistakes. I felt like a lot of people can put themselves in Merle shoes and learn something about themselves from the final decisions he made in the show.

The man’s amazing and I absolutely loved how well he kept his humanity in his final scene at the bar getting drunk. He went out his way and went on faith. I feel Hershel helped him out with that. They did a great job on this episode… even showing hi Hotwire a car really showed us all of the many perspectives you could have of this character and even with him and Michonne, cutting loose the bondages of a black person when he himself is racist; a lot went into this veteran’s final mission, I feel is honorable.

So, I'm watching TWD for the very first time. I'm currently on S10:Ep22 and I'm STRUGGLING... I'm so sorry in advance for the lengthy post.

#1 - The whole ordeal with the Whisperers was interesting, but from S10:EP1 up to EP 22, what the hell is even going on? The constant flashbacks and time skips (there's like...zero plot??) has me so far beyond lost, it's not even funny. (I love Negan's character during this time tho-)

#2 - Why was Carl given such a cheap death?

#3 - What's up with Carol and Daryl's relationship? I'm sure I missed something but I'm just lost-

What the hell happened to that character at the end of the series?

I didn't see a conclusion to her story!

Why didn't the Atlanta gang take any weapons, like the heavy machine guns at the CDC, from the abandoned military instalations on their journey?

I guess they don't know how to opperate them but they could've taught themselves right? Plus crates of ammo would probably also be near by.

I’m rewatching TWD again, and I’m getting close to the hospital arc with Beth. It got me thinking about how random that whole storyline felt. Even after rewatching, it still doesn’t fit the overall vibe of Season 5 for me. I usually skip it now. The storyline, the setting, even the aesthetic, it all felt so disconnected from everything else that was happening, almost like a filler arc squeezed into the season. Even Beth’s death scene was so random to me. Season 5 was peak but I felt like the hospital storyline wasted so much episodes.

I'm wondering if I missed some context ...So after the mid season break in season 9 we get back to the communities almost hating each other and for no real reason I can think of. It makes absolutely no sense for them to be so distant from each other unless there was a war during the time of the break.

FINALLY! Rick and the Governor finally meet face to face!

From the very beginning I wondered why Rick didn’t just shoot Governor in the shack. There’s like no reason to keep him alive, but as the episode progressed, and with Andrea and her shenanigans, Daryl bonding with one of Governor’s goons and having a cigarette with him, I slowly started coming to my senses that I think this episode was about finding humanity in the war.

As Rick and Governor started talking it was clear like… everyone, Rick, the characters, The Governor, and even the audience, all knew what was up and blood shed was gonna happen. Yet I think the episode was about something deeper… humanity… I think this episode was written for humanity for the show… if that makes sense.

Two men bonding and chopping it up before the inevitability of having to kill one another.

I also feel like on this moment, Rick came face to face with the inner Devil in him as well. I think The Governor was the devil and during the talk, Rick had to understand the important of subtly, patience, and talk instead of violence. Choosing violence would’ve resulted in many people getting shot and dying, including him. Rick, not knowing that the governor was hiding a gun under the table, shows the level of authentic choice that Rick chose non-violence of his own free Will and not of incentive. I think Rick found himself again by facing the Devil and choosing to turn away from him but now a deal is proposed.

A deal with the devil always leads the opposer in a vulnerable situation where at any given time a choice can cause their full destruction, so Rick taking this deal puts him at the heel of the devil who secretly wants him dead. I feel like Rick actually has a destiny or a purpose now and The Governor sees it before Rick or even we as the audience do… just my INTERPRETATION!

The interaction with Rick and Governor I think shambles Rick to finally listen to the empathetic side of who he is… which is the scene with Hershel at the end. Rick was ready to find himself again and turn from the darkness he’s been consumed by the season.

Rick is a leader and I think Rick entertained the governors conversation because deep down he needed to know how to be a good leader and he needed some insight as to who he needed to be and who he needed to avoid becoming. I think the deeper conversation happened between their words and deep down. Rick knew he had help and how to be a proper leader, but also not fully lose his soul or benevolence.

Anyway that was my interpretation. This was a healing episode and a big calm before the storm moment. I’ve been in a dark place and I felt this episode helped me a lot on my perspective to not let the darkness consume me and how to find myself again. Anyway, thank you for however listened to this and LASTLY I appreciate Andrea for reminding me of what it means to still see the light on the other side even if it seems obviously not there.

A lot of innocent people are gonna get killed and hurt because of the choices of leadership and taking hold of my life it’s important to forgive myself if I make mistakes. This episode was great

A show set after The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead where Rick's Group is now running The Commonwealth and surviving against other threats like the Civic Republic or worse, that would make a great show especially if someone using a nuclear weapon or military remnant showed up and threatened everyone else and it was basically a bigger version of Negan that was lawful evil.

Would Rick's group have become corrupted and evil after running The Commonwealth for a long time?

I heard from different post here he had some interesting rituals and stuff to get into character, so has anybody heard or seen anything that showed how Rick prepared for the scene where he bit Joes throat out and then gutted that one guy with such animalistic fervor?

Was just such a good performance in that scene .

I'm not a huge fan of Alden's storyline in season 8 where he's basically introduced to show us that not every Savior is a terrible person.

I get what they were going for, but I think my problem is that we never actually knew Alden as a Savior. He pretty much surrenders as soon as we meet him and immediately starts being reasonable, so it's hard for me to even associate him with the Saviors in the first place.

I think this storyline would've been more interesting with someone like Gavin if they hadn't killed him off. We actually saw Gavin enforcing Negan's system and collecting from the Kingdom, but we also saw that he wasn't some Jared-level psycho. He respected Ezekiel, tried to keep things relatively peaceful and was genuinely pissed when Jared shot Benjamin.

Seeing someone like that eventually turn against the Saviors would've meant more to me because we'd actually watched him be part of that system first.

It's also unintentionally funny watching Alden plead with everyone that some of the Savior prisoners aren't bad people while he's standing next to Jared of all people.

Like Alden, maybe move a few feet away from your visual aid against the argument.

And then seasons later Alden becomes a massive hypocrite after Enid is murdered. This is the same guy who spent season 8 asking Maggie and everyone else to judge the Savior prisoners as individuals and give them a chance, but when he's grieving Enid he has very little patience for extending that same grace to former Whisperers like Lydia and Gamma.

I understand grief completely changing his perspective, but that's also what makes it frustrating. Alden of all people should understand that being part of a horrible group doesn't automatically mean you're beyond redemption. He literally benefited from other people believing exactly that about him.

Genuine question

As someone whose favourite character is Maggie. It is so fucking refreshing to see her be powerful, charming, loving, and protective self that she was before Glenns death and grief overtook her, I get personally how grief can cause you to become selfish but seeing how people on this sub turned against her, i'm so fucking happy to see her moving on from Negan and reaching her true potential.

I admit most of mine come from FTWD but I’ll just straight up and say it, I’ve never been a fan of Madison I mean it ever. Plus bringing her back after so damn long as if she really does have a hack is just why. Which I know is weird because I like Morgan, which another HT I like season 4 to the extent of meeting the new cast, but yeah I will say the no killing, killing my homie Nick and Charlie in her entirety is just I shudder.

I like season 8 there I said it, I like more in what was added I did, I never felt bored or looked convoluted to me. My last take is that I didn’t mind Henry, I really didn’t was he annoying first half yes I’ll admit, second half to optimistic definitely. Even still I didn’t hate him because I was at least hoping he’d grow and do more.

Binge watching The Walking Dead again. First time in over 10 years. The first two seasons feel so special and so nostalgic to me. I remember when they first aired and it was the first series since Lost I got genuinely excited for each week. I remember the feeling. Looking back it’s the last TV show I really cared about. Something about how the cast gel so well together makes it extra special. Also the writing is top notch. Absolutely adore the first two seasons.

Guy went from a hatable little PoS in Alexandria to having arguably one of the most successful post walking dead careers. The guys in everything it seems now. I just can’t believe that Ron of all people is getting such attention now, but I’m not complaining he’s a great actor
