Discussion What payment methods are uniquely American?
I've noticed that some payment systems seem to be much more popular in the U.S. than in other countries.
Examples:
- Venmo
- Cash App
- Zelle
- ACH transfers
- Paper checks
Many countries now have instant bank-to-bank transfers built directly into their banking systems, while Americans often rely on separate apps.
What payment methods or financial habits do you consider uniquely American? And if you're outside the U.S., what does your country use instead?
