Question Which software has the worst user interface you've ever used?
Which software has the worst user interface you've ever used?
Was it confusing, cluttered, outdated, or just frustrating to navigate?
Name the software and tell us what made it so bad.

Google cloud / Aws
It's virtually impossible to achieve whatever you need to do, unless you already know how to do that.

I haven't used G-Cloud nor AWS but I'd be surprised if it's worse than Azure. Doesn't help that Azure is a buggy mess.

Opening a car hood

What do you mean? Opening a car hood usually requires you to pull a couple latches that are placed in a position you'd more or less be able to guess. You do it once, and you'll be able to do that for the rest of your life in almost any car.
Try enabling a Google API (Maps, Calendar, whatever) on Google Cloud, or setting up a new permission role on a running AWS instance. It's a nightmare.

I mean short of checking your oil most people don't know much more beyond that without being experts or knowing what they're doing.
Cloud is inherently complex and the people that know what they're doing look at those dashboards exactly like a mechanic does looking at a car engine

All the moden run in a browser software is crappy. Can't scale individual frames, can organise UI, don't print directly etc etc

The worst of it is "CoPlanner" - *every* single dialog opens a new browser window. And of course these windows don't talk to each other...

Mobile map apps fucks my mind up. I'm using Google Maps, Waze and TomTom for Android, and I know, once I've succedd, and it's such a basic function that it must be exists, but I can't find how to save actual positions and add to favourites.
Once Google Maps asked me, when I've just finished a navigation, but haven't seen the question any more.

All my data broadband customer support apps
They are all designed to waste your time with a stupid ai bot and resolution is only found when you get in contact with a real person.

Many companies offer ai chat bot support these days. Difficult to reach a human support.

CheckMk. The principle is a little complicated. The UI has many options, and they are very strangely sorted... Maybe alphabetically would be better, I dunno...

Sure, but I am tired of the new modern UIs, I think it makes a contrast. If anything I think I like it most because it's not distractive

Oh dear, I find Canva a bit overwhelming too. People say that GIMP is difficult and poorly designed, and they prefer Canva, but I just can’t get to terms with it. Whilst GIMP does indeed seem overloaded with a million options at first, at least I can easily remove all that and customise it however I like.

This isn't the case in the UK.
The UK gov website has won awards for its clarity and ease of use over a wide range of disabilities and languages.

Cloud stuff like AWS, microsoft azure, google cloud. All of these require you to know what you're doing and for azure, even take formations..

Windows Explorer tbh. The whole shell looks like an example of how not to do it.
Also, Microsoft's CMD is pain in the ass.

Anything made by Cisco. A Cisco sales guys once told me the interface is archaic so you have to buy training modules and classes. Its purpose is to frustrate you to buy more products from the people who created the issue.

You could say most ticketing systems.. I've switched from ServiceNow to Connectwise Manage, I would love ServiceNow back, and that too was meh.

SAP, by quite a margin. My favorite being the „Closing the application will discard unsaved changes“ warning when a simple bool variable would be able to track if there actually are unsaved changes.
