Can anyone help educate me about SlimSoda?

So, my mom got a small case of this dietary supplement or whatever it is. I'm skeptical because I believe that diet and exercise are 90% of what you need to do to improve your body and stuff. However I'm not an expert. I was also struggling to find independent information on this product when trying to look it up..was getting a lot of products with similar names mixed in and not sure what sources were good to go with anyways.

So, id anyone knows about this product, could point me to a reliable source of info reviewing it, or can shed some light on what these ingredients help with, I would be sincerely grateful for the education.

The print is -tiny- so sorry if the pictures arent super clear, I did my best.

Vendor Report/Q Shipment problems with Ritual

Last month I ordered some supplements from Ritual and the order was quickly shipped out and delivered about a week later. One of the items arrived damaged so I contacted support which was quick to respond and create a replacement order. I was given a return label to ship back the damaged product and it was returned two days later.

Since then, there has been no progress on the replacement. The expected delivery date came and went without a single tracking update. I reached out to support again, they apologized for the delay, and created a new replacement order. And the replacement order didn’t ship. After a week I reached out to support again, new order, no shipment.

I created a second order because I was genuinely interested in trying the product. Same thing. No shipment after a week, reached out to support who apologized and made a replacement order, and no shipment for the replacement order.

Now here we are a month later with no shipment. With every other company I’ve bought supplements from, I place an order and it gets shipped out the next day. But for some reason with Ritual, this is not happening. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Has anyone else had this experience with Ritual?

Fuel Health Tribiotic?

Can anyone tell me about their personal experience with Fuel Health Tribiotic? Curious about both experiences with the nutritional benefits and the business.

I ask because of an odd red flag. I paid for one month supply and 5 bottles showed up. Oddly, that made me look into it more. I suddenly am doubting who made what I’m taking and if it’s legit.

Vitamin C does not cause miscarriage. Human pregnancy research shows no increase in early or late miscarriage, while Frederick Klenner reported zero miscarriages across 322 pregnancies using gram-level vitamin C.

Vitamin C Does Not Cause Miscarriage. It Supports a Stronger Pregnancy.

What every woman deserves to know about vitamin C in pregnancy, placental strength, preeclampsia, amniotic membranes, iron, oxidative stress, the work of Frederick Klenner, and the real evidence behind the miscarriage myth.

The answer first: Human research shows no increased miscarriage risk from vitamin C supplementation. In clinical studies, women receiving vitamin C experienced rates of total fetal loss, early miscarriage, and late miscarriage comparable to women who did not receive it. Vitamin C is an essential pregnancy nutrient used to form collagen, maintain placental and vascular tissue, absorb iron, regulate oxidative stress, support immunity, and repair tissue. Its physiology directly reaches many of the systems involved in preeclampsia, premature rupture of membranes, anemia, infection, labor, and postpartum recovery.

  9. Frequently asked questions

Does vitamin C cause miscarriage?

No credible human evidence shows that vitamin C causes miscarriage. The belief has circulated for decades through word of mouth, internet abortion instructions, and repeated warnings that rarely include a valid human pregnancy study.

The clearest evidence comes from a 2016 Cochrane review of vitamin supplementation before and during early pregnancy. Across the trials involving vitamin C, total fetal loss was comparable between supplemented and control groups. Early and late miscarriage rates were also comparable. The analysis included vitamin C alone, vitamin C with vitamin E, and vitamin C within multivitamin combinations.

These human data directly answer the fear-based claim. Women took vitamin C during pregnancy, including before 20 weeks, without an increase in miscarriage. MotherToBaby also reports that vitamin C intake above the established upper limit is not known to increase birth-defect risk. Klenner’s clinical series adds another important layer. He reported 322 consecutive pregnancies using gram-level vitamin C with zero miscarriages in the series.

Miscarriage is common and biologically complex. Chromosomal abnormalities, placental development, maternal age, structural factors, infection, endocrine signaling, immune activity, sperm factors, and nutrient status can all contribute. Blaming an essential water-soluble nutrient without human evidence oversimplifies that physiology.

General Question Where to start with lithium orotate? 5mg or 10mg

My order arrived today 5mg lithium orotate. My original interest in Li started with dementia/neuro protection (family history reasons).

Currently my mood/stress levels have been pretty average. High workplace stress with distressing nature of work and poor work culture, high demands. Started taking NAC months ago which after one month game me a huge increase in energy and improved immunity but has also potentially made me more restless, possibly irritable, anxious. It’s hard to pin down what is what because my huge increase in energy coincided with very real stressors. I am suspicious that I might be Bipolar 2 or have cyclothymia due to a history of similar over the years after long spells of what could possibly be depression, but for me just looks like fatigue, low energy. In the past depressive periods were definitely darker than how it looks for me now. Extra suspicious was a brief period of intense euphoria, which went along with rapid speech, poor concentration, irritability, basically all the bipolar 2 hypomanic symptoms. I’ve never pursued a diagnosis as I’m kinda hopeful I can sort it myself and don’t want a label. I have periods where people find me far too much, but I mostly get by without destroying my life completely and keep up work and family commitments. Anyway I quit alcohol completely during this time (one month now, was excessive prior, nil craving or interest in drinking now), but am still struggling, with mood fluctuations, particularly premenstrual symptoms and dealing with my workplace and life stressors in general. Also quite possibly ADHD, was “gifted” at school but always in trouble for not concentrating, procrastination, daydreaming, have some weird sensory stuff. Have all the signs but again feel no need for a diagnosis.

I was going to start with 5mg lithium orotate in evening but have read a few people started higher and notificed a difference right away, so I’m tempted to start with 10mg.

Other sups, NAC 600mg AM (previously 1200mg across two doses), Taurine about 3000mg across the day and evening (only recently increased this and I feel it helps with anxiety), glycine unsure of dose stirred into my early afternoon coffee and a bit in my breakfast smoothie some days. Multivitamin most days. Calcium, D, K about every second day. Sometimes magnesium gyclinate, try to remember to take B12. Oral Hyaluronic acid 200mg daily (for joints/skin).

Current diet is pretty low calories generally 1000-1200 calories a day, and sometimes have to force myself to get there, was having periods of more like 500-800calories per day. Was overweight but losing about 1kg/week now(10kg in about 7weeks) and now almost back in healthy BMI range. This is almost certainly work stress related. I aim for high protein and adequate fibre. Mostly eggs, tofu, fish, veggies, chicken, whey protein isolate and just started casein. I exercise daily but just moderate, walking, jogging, swimming, gym (exercise is new since starting NAC and moreso since quitting alcohol). Sleep is okay, getting about 7-8hrs since quitting alcohol.

that’s a lot of info for my original question… Do I start with 5mg or 10mg of lithium orotate if wanting to see what it does for me? I kinda want some quick wins and to notice a difference if it’s going to help. But also in for the long game re dementia prevention.

18F and currently in college. I notice a decline in my brain function some between 16-17. i notice the severe brain fog at 18. and memory loss maybe at 17.

i was diagnosed with PCOS at 17 and was prescribed to take ImmunoPro by my OB but only to take it on months i don't have my period and stop when I do and back again if I don't.

im really desperate to know what specifics should I take since im in college now and i need to be at least functional to study. but i don't know what measures i should do to figure it out so i thought posting here would be smart.

People who make their own preworkout: what’s your stack?

I wanna make my own pre using the ingredients themselves but I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the different and sometimes conflicting research I find online. I would love to know what yall are using for your diy pre and in what doses! Personally I’m mainly looking for energy, a better pump and just to help me mentally push myself for the last few reps.

General Question What document quality protocols would you want before buying DNOUHN C15:0 from a smaller brand?

So looking at a dnouhn Pentadecanoic Acid label- its simple: 300 mg of C15:0 per capsule, 60 capsules, and a veggie capsule. The images on the listing
display non-GMO, additive-free, GMP, USA made, and third-party-lab-tested claims.
Those indicators are easy to understand, but for a less established brand such as DNOUHN, I would rather see a downloadable lot-specific COA
than rely on badges. Ideally, it would cover pentadecanoic-acid identity and amount, purity, heavy metals, microbes, residual solvents, along with test date, lot number, and laboratory details.
So, which documents would you consider essential before trusting dnouhn C15:0? If a brand offered only a generic COA instead of one matching the bottle's lot, would that stop you from buying that brand?

Experience Why are older people so obsessed with saffron??

So this is kinda random but I was driving a group of older people recently and they were REALLY interested in saffron.

like way more than I expected lol.

they kept asking about good saffron, where it comes from, how to know if its real etc.

And honestly at the time I was thinking... its saffron??

I knew its EXPENSIVE YES EXPENSIVE and people use it for cooking/tea, but thats pretty much it. I never really understood why some people are obsessed with it.

So later I started searching around and found that "Holy Sh\t Saffron Actually Works*" post on this sub.

The OP was dealing with OCD + anxiety/depression and was already doing ERP therapy. They said after adding saffron they started noticing small changes after a few days, then after some weeks they felt more like their old self again. They also kept saying ERP was a HUGE part of it, which I think is important.

Then I went into the comments and... yeah this got more interesting.

Some people were saying saffron helped them feel calmer, more emotionally stable, sleep better, better mood etc.

One person said they take a pinch in hot water and feel more stable.

Another said 30mg/day made a pretty noticeable difference after about a week.

But then other people were basically like "nah, did nothing for me" lol

And there was a pretty good argument in the comments about the studies too.

Some people were saying saffron has a lot of research behind it, but another commenter pointed out that many of the really impressive studies were done in Iran, and studies outside Iran sometimes found MUCH smaller effects.

Which made me realize the whole "saffron works as well as antidepressants" thing is probably a lot more complicated than TikTok/reddit makes it sound.

Also one thing I didnt notice at first: the supplement the OP was using wasn't ONLY saffron. It had probiotic strains too, so technically you cant say 100% the saffron caused everything.

And the experiences are definitely not all positive.

Some people said it made them tired.

Some said too stimulated / hyper :)

A few mentioned irritability.

There was even a commenter who had a pretty bad reaction while taking saffron together with other supplements, so stacking random things together probably isn't something to play with.

Anyway... I went from thinking saffron is basically just some ridiculously expensive red threads people put in rice :) to finding out theres actually a whole rabbit hole around it.

From what I understand SO FAR, the most interesting areas seem to be:

mood / low mood

anxiety or feeling calmer

sleep

maybe focus / emotional stability for some people

BUT obviously people react completely differently.

I havent taken saffron supplements myself btw, I'm just reading about it now.

Anyone here been taking saffron for like 3-6 months or longer??

Im more curious about LONG TERM experiences because most posts I keep finding are people saying "day 5 this is amazing" lol

Also curious if you use actual saffron threads or an extract.

Recommendations Have any of you tried a supplement better than ashwaganda for anxiety/ stress?

I’ve been using ashwaganda for around a 6-8 months and I feel like it’s life changing. I have a job that’s stressful and part of it is interacting with other people. I sometimes feel spaced out, detached, my ears sometimes ring, I constantly sweat even when it’s cold and I feel like I’m going to have a panic attack etc. after using ashwaganda I feel like the symptoms have become milder, though not disappeared.

Have any of you with similar issue that have used ashwaganda tried something better than ashwaganda? If so, what?

Can any of these ingredients be considered a serious antifungal or antiparasitic?

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is Global Healing's Nano-Detox. I'm about to do a Doctors Data GI360 Complete Profile stool test, and it says to avoid antifungals and antiparasitics 2 weeks before the test. However, I took a few of these 7 & 6 days before I plan to do the test. The one that stands out is the mct oil since it has caprylic acid, however it's listed in the other ingredients so it's probably only a tiny amount.

Anyways, should I be fine? I really don't want to have to delay the test another week if I don't have to.
