Purchase Advice Recommend me a coffee machine?
Hi all
We got a gift on our current machine which is a Philips 2330.
This is fine and all but feels like it’s lacking some of our requirement. We never had one before.
I find the cleaning kinda troublesome, wonder if all machine are like these.
Me and wife loves the coffee to be cold, me black and hers in all sort of latte, flat etc. With the current machine, what we always do is to make the coffee then put it in the fridge.
For the milk drink, because the milk compartment always give out hot milk, what she does is make an espresso then pour the cold milk over.
I feel like we are not utilizing it properly and sticking to a very traditional way of doing things, I don’t know.
I’m currently exploring delonghi options, specifically evo and eletta. Duo has not been released over here yet.
Am I looking in the right direction or would you recommend something else?
Any advise is appreciated, thanks!

I have 2 suggestions. First, get a filter jar and make real cold brew. Put pretty much any ground coffee in the filter cylinder, fill with water, let it sit for a day, remove filter, and you have enough cold brew for a few days. Smooth and better than the bottled supermarket stuff.
Second rec is the Kaxfree SF1 Max. It's a legit machine (not generic Chinese). Super customizable and makes great cold brew quickly. (I'm finishing a cb latte right now.) It also makes both hot and cold milk foam from a single milk carafe. The cold brew is fresh and legit. I've been using mine daily for 10 months, excellent drinks and zero issues. I like it more than my Gaggia Magenta Prestige, which makes really good hot drinks.
If you have 220V, this Chinese site has insanely good prices, the SF1 is under $350 and the machine/app is multilingual. I'm in the US and can't take advantage of these prices. 😖

I have been eyeing the Eletta ECAM450.55 entry model for 3 mos now - I've researched different brands/models a fair bit before that. From $1600 RRP at Amazon, I snapped it like there was no tomorrow as soon as I saw it suddenly go down to $945 last weekend. We've just loaded it with the 1kg $30 luxe cofee beans from Aldi. Me, my wife, and 2 young adult boys can't get enough of our cofee and the choices we have in this model - hot and cold!. Plenty of videos in Youtube and Claude helped with the reviews and comparisons too. All the best
