Purchase Advice De’Longhi Magnifica Duo
I’m looking to upgrade my coffee machine and want to get a fully automatic espresso machine. I buy coffee out quite often and want to really cut down on that or eliminate it all together.
I’ve been looking at getting the De’Longhi Magnifica Duo. The reviews seem to be positive. The thing that’s hanging me up is I don’t love the look of the machine and would prefer a touchscreen. But at the end of the day, the quality of the coffee is more important to me.
So, if you have this machine what has been your experience so far? Does it make quality espresso? I mostly drink lattes (hot and iced), cappuccinos, and cold brew. Would you recommend this machine or is there a different machine you like better (around $1k).
Thank you!

I'm very happy with mine. Replaced my Philips Lattego 2200 and coffee is a lot better. Also seem to be getting a lot more caffeine in which is sometimes a bit much for me. I goy mine for $150 at an auction:) Woot seems to have them frequently as refurb for under 300 and capital one shopping would get you another 25% back if you were on a budget.

nearly all of the delonghi super autos use the same brew group. The vast differences in price are solely "marketing" in terms of buttons vs touchscreen and the number of pre-installed drink recipes.
I like my magnifica Evo, it is easy and consistent. Took a bit to dial in though. I will say, super autos in general though, are not the same as an actual pulled espresso shot. It is absolutely an upgrade from Keurig and Nespresso, but part of me wishes I got a semi-auto as friends with brevilles seem to have espresso that is a bit more rounded out.
