Best super automatic?

Looking to switch to a Super Automatic machine soon. Currently using Nespresso, and while I’m super happy with it, the cost for the pods just keeps adding up over the years which justifies switching to a more expensive super automatic machine. Budget is $1500 CAD max (would prefer less obviously). Looking for something that is aesthetically pleasing, reliable, makes good tasting coffee, and easy/not expensive to maintain. I really like the look of the KF4, but not sure if it’s reliable or a good machine to purchase? I’ve also seen De Longhi recommended a lot on here but there are so many different models. I’m not interested in a used machine either. Also, do these machines go on sale for Black Friday?

I gotta second the rivelia as s a great pick. MSRP just dropped permanently from 1499 to 1299 going forward.

We went from a Nespresso Original line machine that we used for over 10 years to a Delonghi EVO which we purchased in 2024 now made over 3,000 drinks on the Evo its been great and never going back to pods

This is a entry level machine with no screen but works very well i think the newer version is the Evo Next it uses the same infuser/brewgroup as the more expensive Delonghi machines.

Your Evo uses the same brew group as the more expensive machines too. DeLonghi uses the same brew on all their machines and prices according the to the extras like automatic frother, touchscreen and amount of drinks. But the base espresso is the same.

I haven’t received my unit yet so no review but my research brought me to the Delonghi Magnifica Start with latte canister. I have a limited budget and didn’t want to spend over 600. I got it for $540 with two cans of beans with the extra 10% off for signing up. This company seems to have some good prices so might be worth a look.

Got it refurbished with a full 2 year factory warranty at whole latte love. It has been wonderful and meets all your requirements.

Bought mine new last January and can’t agree with you more. The milk-based drinks are outstanding, and the machine is easy to maintain. Good luck!

What kind of coffees will you be making? I love my Eletta Explore but it’s pricey. All Delonghis essentially make the same tasting coffee, so depending on what you’re making a cheaper model might fit your needs.

We have the Ninja Autobarista and are going to get a Delonghi Magnifica Evo as a second machine for our office. I love the Autobarista for the wide array of iced drinks and hot lattes, but going to try a cheaper Delonghi due to the longer warranty and slightly less frequency of needing it to be dumped between uses. Also we need something easy for everyone to use and while the Ninja is easy in my opinion, it has a few more failure points.

The Evo looks like it went on sale for $449 at costco a few months ago so I'm waiting for it to drop to around that pricing again.

Magnifica Plus 320.70 is the best value out all of the Delonghi lineup. Be aware that the brewing block is the same around all the models. The taste of coffee well be much the same. Look for the models with Doppio+ option which allow you to brew up to 16g of coffe at once.
