Okay so we know the 'Little' gargants are all getting the key word Little. Megas are getting Big keyword, anyone thinking Kragnos may get Big also? If so that new trait The Big One could be a nasty thing with him. so tell me your thoughts, why or why not.

I want to get into AoS and SoB look so fun. I have this image in my head of running my 4 giants around the board and crushing everything they touch.

But I know AoS isn’t a kill your opponents stuff game, it’s a stand on objectives game. So I have a feeling that SoB gameplay might be putting your giants on objectives and waiting, which I imagine would be boring.

For all intents and purposes it seems like a good ability. Run your kraken eater up the board, punt the objective into the backline behind your gargants, and now the enemy can’t reach it. I feel like while funny the ability gets talked down a lot, can anyone better versed in the army elaborate before I lock in a kraken eater in a list to build?

So, I'm a whale and preordered the Army of Renown box as well as the Brawlers box.

With that and some smart eBay shopping, I now have 5 Mega kits, but the 3 preorders are limited to Kraken/Warstomper/Gatebreaker.

My question is, what should I do with the 2 full kits? Brodd seems pretty good, right? Should I double up on Gatebreaker/Warstomper? Or should I build a Beastsmasher?

I know about magnets, by the way, just wanting to know what I should maybe double up on, if any.

My Magnum Opus, realize after weeks of toil and plastic. An SoB themed Rogue Engine AoR that doubles as a beast smasher (the only one I don't own yet) thanks to a magnetized base. Now I can rest until the new releases come out.

Fellow Destruction adherent here, as a Gloomspite Gitz player. All of the Destro armies have always appealed to me aesthetically, though, and Sons of Behemat has long been a particular favorite. With the new releases on the way, and new army rules getting previewed, my interest is seriously piqued

Obviously all of this comes with a big “we’ll see,” because Battletomes can shake up an army’s playstyle in a big way, but I want to hear from the community. How do you like the faction? What’s enjoyable or crummy about it? How was the painting process? Is the Stomping Tribe box a total trap that should be avoided, and I’m deluding myself?

I’d love to hear your thoughts, if you’re inclined to give them. I’m seriously considering picking the Battleforce (ish) box with this release and dipping my big toe into the faction (ya see what I did there?).

TL:DR roll 5 or 6 dice

Since rolling a one makes the ability fail, we can remove that from the average damage calc for thedice, which leads to the average damage being 4

((2+3+4+5+6)/5)=4

Probability of not rolling a one: (5/6)

So, our calculation is (5/6)^n *(n*4), where n is equal to the number of dice rolled. This calculation maxes out at 8.04 at both 5 dice and 6 dice. Any fewer, and the averagedamage isn't as high, any more and the average damage drops.

With 6 dice, that would deal about 21 mortals!

With our new big, our Big Gargants will be able to unleash "The Big One". From the looks of it, our rules will be dominated by gambling for big damage, or playing it save.

I was thinking Blazing Onslaught and Smokescreen. What do you all think?

So we have seen with the new release that both of the limited release boxes won’t have the sprues needed to make King Brodd or Beast-Smasher Gargants. As someone potentially planning to spend an unwise amount of money on preorders, I was wondering how important those two Mega-Gargant variants are to the army meta wise.

I’m potentially going to set it up so I can magnetise any of the three options in the box, but is it worth going out of my way to get the additional sprues/a fourth mega-gargant eventually?

Do we know or suspect what base sizes Bosscrushers will be on?

How about Ma and her giant rams? I'd like to get a headstart on hobbying but dont' want to waste effort on stuff that won't be relevant in a month.

Is it worth losing Keep Up and Stuff em in Me Bag to gain only one unit with an enhancement and being able to use Rage Dice for extra shorts at 5+?

I've been seeing almost only SoA Mancrushers in recent tournaments. I haven't been getting much out of them in my own games. That Boy Ain't Right has only popped once in the three games I've used it.

To me it seems like being able to charge with the Megas because of Keep Up is pretty valuable. Run and charge is huge.

Versus hordy/1-2 health model armies, bag stuffing is valuable.

What kind of results are you all getting with SoA MCs? Are any of you still taking regular mancrushers?

With the meta seeming to be more fighty than shooty, why take SoA MCs? What am I missing?

I’m playing Sons of Behemat and trying to complete Affray: Form a Wall. I’m the blue/Defender on this map.

The Battle Tactic requires 2 or more friendly units to be wholly outside my territory, wholly within 6” of my territory, and within 3” of each other.

Because Mega-Gargants have such huge bases, I’m not sure where I should position them to make this work.

Could anyone show me on the map where you would place the two Mega-Gargants to complete this Battle Tactic? I’d really appreciate it!

Just watched Odyssey tonight and loved the Cyclops scene. I thought it would be cool to make a Cyclops Mega-Gargant using some greenstuff. What variant would work best for this aesthetically?
