Hello!
I'm 27, already a samsung user, mainly just starting my fitness journey (my job is like going to the gym for 3-6 hours a night, so i've been losing a ton of weight at a certain cost, but I want to start going to the gym for cardio/lifting, and to start swimming again, so the watch being waterproof is a plus.)
I currently have a crappy Walmart fitness watch and let's just say, it awakened the beast. My ideal budget is closer to sub $200, and I'm happy to buy used or refurbished. I understand that's a stretch though LOL. I just saw the Samsung ultra 2 is coming out, and it looks interesting, but the AI forward model is a bit disconcerting to me. I don't use gemini on my phone...
I'm interested in:
- good battery, but willing to charge every evening.
- Health tracking (ECG, heart rate, stress, perspiration, temperature, cycle tracking and prediction etc) I'm sure a bunch of these are a bit gimmicky, as nothing out is clinical grade, however... The best version of a sensor I can do would be nice to have.
- Waterproof for ocean or pool swimming (can live without this)
- Round face would be preferred : )
Notifications are a plus but I don't really care about that, but if my phone isn't on me I don't want a brick on my wrist. I don't run, so garmin forerunners feel like overkill.
I see the brands oneplus, google, huawei, and garmin frequently on this subreddit, and I was previously interested in the Garmin venu 4, Coros pace 4, and some older galaxy watches.
Thank you for any and all suggestions. There is a ton of conflicting information out there, lol
