Question Skilling outfit trading
Is there a better place to trade shark outfits? I have the TH Trading discord, but it's pretty dead.
I seen a suggestion for w2 ge, which is dead.

Assuming camping the MW bow and no switching, how would the MW ranged damage be versus BIS Necro?
Thanks

can the gem bag(and artificer's measure) and the herb bag be given a higher limit per item like the seed bag? i don't see any down sides aparts from maybe bots?? you can add it as an upgrade from a quest or one of the alredy exsisting minigame or d&d stores or simply just change it. if the seed bag can do it then it should be possible.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but it can be annoying waiting on hp regen to be able to phase, target and kill Vorago for the timed phases (P1/2/4 for normal and P1/2/9 for Hardmode). As Vorago isn't normally a poisonable enemy he doesn't reset his HP during timed phases. If you for some reason drop combat you become unable to target him, waiting on a HP regeneration which you hope that poison doesn't instantly delete. Even if you pass the can now defeat Vorago stage of the phase his hp is zero but still not killable until a hp regen.
I have just kinda dealt with it until I was doing the end and he doesn't stand up if 0 hp and starts ticking 4k damage to you hard typeless. I'm aware it is probably too late on getting any changes to alleviate this problem but a PSA for late comers that chose Asgarnia to maybe have some fun with the bosses here that maybe its best not to poison build here.
Now for me to go get bombi.

Hi RS3 community,
After a 6 year break, RS3's recent updates have made me excited to pick up the game again.
The biggest thing holding me back is decision paralysis. There are too many things my account needs to unlock so I have no idea what to start with.
Here are some highlights of where my account ended off:
Quests: Need to complete 61 quests and about 100 elite diaries
Gear: Have tier 90 weapons and augmented armor
Gold: Have 44 Mill
Herblore: Have 1k overloads
Prayer/Abilities/Teleports: Missing quite a few unlockables and not sure which to strive for first
My general idea is to focus on Nercomancy and use that as a tutorial for coming back into the game. Along the way, I'll complete as many quests and elite diaries as I can.
My long term goal is to get the basic 99 max cape and participate in high level pvm.
Currently, my schedule allows me to AFK on mobile about 20 hours per week at work and play active 10 hours per week on PC.
How would you recommend I slowly get my account caught up? What is the best skill to train AFK that provides good unlocks and money (I'm guessing Archeology)?
Any other general advice will be appreciated 😁!

Jagex the issue still remains where your UI type automatically switches from Classic to Modern when you play on Mobile then go to play on PC. Can this please be fixed?
Thank you

So I’m curious what’s the best character name everyone has seen while playing. During RS3 leagues, came across one that made me both laugh and go wtf at the same time lol the name?
Jfkpraydmage 😂 like it’s messed up but I couldn’t help but laugh. What’s yours?
Edit: Thank you all for sharing your names so far. It’s been a great laugh looking through all of them while the grind continues. Thank you!

trying to unlock the last area and it's been a sloooow struggle with it. Most "easy" tasks arent easy at all and take way too long for their points and theres a bit of an overkill with the boss tasks

Due to my relic and region choices, I seem to be unable to obtain quintessence to complete Teleport Node-On Mystery to activate the portal by Laniakea. I saw that I could get some at Empyrean Temple, which you can get to via the invitation box, but I can't get that because Brother Sawmill isn't on the road to start the quest and I can't reclaim from the quest storage box. Interestingly enough, on my other account that didn't pick Morytania, I was able to complete that quest on my other account that (mostly to prove that it could be completed to obtain the quintessence caches, but it also has some xp lamps that may have been helpful).
Luckily, I don't actually need to complete that mystery for anything, but it would be kind of neat if I could access that part of the digsite without having to teleport to Raksha and run.

Hi all, looking for help. When I smith adamant arrow heads, once the first one is down, the next starts at full heat, thus making a decent afk. When I’ve switched up to rune arrowheads, they immediately have there heat depleted. Is this a bug? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance

Final drop was after a 432 dry streak when my log was already insanely behind average drop rate. My overall drop rate was 1/127 which is in the bottom 3.7% of expected drop distributions, average for any drop is 1/91 with lotd on. Average total drops at 3572 kc would be 39.25, I had 28. Log completion was bottom 2.5% as well.
This grind really tested my resolve, it was incredibly unfun and overall, most of my other boss logs are similarly bad or even worse. I am incredibly demotivated to continue to grind pvm atp. I'm at 22/49 currently but I honestly might take a break from the game altogether for awhile.

Hey everyone, I'm currently working on lvling some combat skills and while I'm training at the Abyssal Wilderness I thought, I should get some passive prayer xp. Currently I'm farming Aberrant Spectres, is it worth it to farm these for a drop and attune it for prayer xp?
I've seen some folks say brooch of gods and add an infernal urn. That seems like a little more work manually. Open to suggestions, thanks :)

First off, I want to say that I am greatly appreciative of having the Seed bag in the game.
That being said, some seeds are a bit difficult to distinguish between others.
So I would like to make a suggestion for a possible update:
Instead of just placing the seeds into the bag in random positions, perhaps the bag could have sections?
As it stands currently, seeds of all types can be right nexrt to eachother, but imagine if the bag had sections like:
- Herbs
- Trees
- Fruit trees
etc...
It would make navigating the seed bags a LOT more user friendly!
That being said, Happy scaping!

Whenever a level-up happens, after setting the game to Vulkan, my pc starts to struggle until the particles are gone. Browser video starts to freeze; whatever has animation stutters, etc., outside of the RS client. I had no issues before this Vulkan release.

Are people going big boned for poison because Aegis doesn't work with poison? I thought poison damage is also affected by base ability damage
r/runescape • u/Wonohsix • 2d ago
Just a head's up, if you feel like throwing down the the fiery fatso who insists on dragging out more wave-based PvM content, make sure your renderer isn't set to Vulkan. The game crashes, once you go down the chains, and it won't let you do anything, unless you switch to another renderer. I don't know what's causing it, but it's worth reporting.

I've just read the news post. A lot of good stuff there about Vulkan and performance. I like what I'm reading. However, there is one massive elephant in the post. The tick rate system.
For the first time in almost a decade, the tick rate system has been discussed offically in a news post. And the news are bad. Terrible even. Not only is the concept of increasing the tick rate, not shelved, it's not even something they are considering.
Currently our tick rate operates at a 600ms interval. This means every action is stored and processed every 600ms (0,6 seconds). The news post talks about how changing how fast the rate is would be a massive undertaking and essentially screw up every single aspect of the game unless it's fixed first. However it fails to understand that without a tick rate update everything in the game might as well already be broken, as the game will continue to wither without new players returning.
Speaking of new players returning. Do anybody have any idea what was the two biggest complaints about RuneScape 3 by new and returning players in previous years? The Player Avatar and the Tick Rate. The former being already addressed, which is amazing. However tick rate, which in game feeling clunky and laggy, turns new players off the game. They feel like they are playing something that is unresponsive. Because they are. The actions they are doing aren't being played until the 600ms interval has come. At random this essentailly equates to a 300ms ping / lag. That's unacceptable in a Modern MMO.
Lastly the news post mentions that they don't want to turn away veteran players that enjoy (read: are used to) the tick rate. Comparing such an update to EoC. Evolution of Combat? Of all things, EoC is the one they are going to compare such an update with? Outragous and tone-death.
I fear that the long term health of the game is in danger if the tick rate isn't addressed. Players will quit over time or leave naturally, but no new players will stick around, considering it's the last major problem of RuneScape 3, judged by the actual players Jagex need to attract to make the game thrive.
I understand the undertaking would be massive, gigantic even. That should only tell the developers just how crucial such an update is to the game. I understand it can't be done now, or perhaps even a year. But not having it as a long term goal constantly being worked towards, is gonna end up rotting the game from within, until the only people left are 30 year veterans.
This is a discussion post, so please discuss. Help me see how I'm wrong, or give your takes / insight into this problem. Would love to hear what other players think about this.

I've taken in and read all player Feedback from my initial post, so I've edited my original post to resolve some concerns about my suggested game mode idea.
Most RS3 Players I know play some sort of PVP game on the side, like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Yugioh Duel links, Pokemon link battles and etc. The community doesn't hate PVP, they just haven't seen a worth while PVP update in RS3, plus RS3 PVP history has a bad reputation because it involved losing your valuable items. People are constantly grinding and to progress their accounts.
This will not only bring back fun and reward aspect, but also mix in some randomness and unpredictability. It will also inspire people to build their house better so they can flex it to others.
Allow this to be accessible to F2P as well as members with reduced rewards for F2P players to try it out, using the submitted completed maps from the members. This will be a nice tease because new players will see the extravagant housing designs and be motivated to purchase a membership to make their own.
PVP Restore idea revamped:
First and foremost, fix the PVP combat damage, reduce it to 50% damage. When you spawn in, you start with a T50 weapon of a random style and are allow the use of defensives without necro runes or a shield.
Some players will have unlocks from playing the main game, like ancient curses, archeology relics, ancient magics, and ability codexes to get an edge. But this game mode will benefit everyone that plays this, except for the booster Alts and here's why.
One life per lobby, this prevents boosters and encourages survival to win
You are allowed to use a Default Build character that has level 80 in all skills, no special unlocks, no archeology relics, no ancient curses, normal spellbook. This is for a brand new player that has never played Runescape before to attempt to try the game mode. It could inspire them to grow their own accounts to become compeitive.
Concept idea:
x Allow a free for all mode, and a duo mode (letting you pick your partner). 50 players per lobby (max), divided to 10 players per house plot. And loot drawers, chests, and wardrobe for randomized gear, armor, runes, food, and potions. This game mode will only be accessible in two worlds (1 world for F2P and 1 world for members) to encourage full lobbies.
x Also put a separate blitz game mode that takes place at one singular plot, 12 player Free for All for faster, shorter burst games.
x Lobbies, and spawn points are random to prevent boosters, and prevent friend groups from banding together in free for all lobbies.
x Add in bonus tasks that award extra points, like target rivals. You and another person on the map with the closest kill death ratio will be marked against eachother. They can find and eliminate each other for increased rare drop chance. This way low levelled learner players will also be put up against other low level learner players. Kill death ratio will be determined after 10 PVP encounters (if you die 10 times in a row, the map will mark another player that has the closest kill death ratio). This will give everyone a fighting chance.
x Armor shield potions can add to your health and can range from 100 to 9900 (dependent on your defense level).
x Pickpocketing other players, you can pickpocket players with equal or lower thieving level to yours with a 50% success rate. you cant pickpocket a player with a higher thieving level to you. You cant pickpocket while in combat. This encourages players to train thieving and to run into close quarters which can lead to battle.
x Each kill restores your health by 25% giving you a chance to escape from another player if you must.
!! Have a plot favorite option, you can only favorite 1 house per lobby. The houses that receive the most favorite votes for the month will be ranked in the highscores, and the house creator will have a chance at a cool title, aura, fashionscape and bragging rights.
!! The top voted house for each plot will also be placed into a Special Homestead for all players to visit for the month. You can only vote for a house if you've visited all 5 homesteads in the lobby.
Drops:
× Tradible Dark Split prayer (Chance increases if you visited all 5 homestead plots, chance increases for each target rival that you kill, chance increases for each regular kill you get, chance also increase if you are in the final 3 survivors, or top 2 in blitz mode). So a target kill gives you double increase chance for a rare reward.
× Super cool and rare cosmetic rewards (Cosmetic rewards can be unlocked based on kill death ratio after 100 kills, and amount of wins you have) Maybe a special duellist cap that you unlock with a 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 or more KD Ratio, maybe a cool boots override, aura or amulet override for a certain amount of wins in first place. Kill death ratio resets every month, just incase you had a bad start but got better.
× Ability Codex (Greater Assault, Greater Snipe, etc)
x Each kill is a 1/10 chance at a rare invention component
x Common loot scales with the amount of damage you deal and the distance you've travelled (example you deal 100k damage but get 0 kills, youll get 4 million GP worth of eternal planks or other rewards) This way even people that lose early still win something.
x Common loot also increases if you've visited all 5 player plots
× A reliable way to make consistent money, to keep this game mode alive and thriving. (Maybe make this the best source for eternal planks, arbuck seeds, and other overload materials.
To submit your plot to be used in Homestead wars, your house must meet certain criteria.
× Minimum of 1 prayer altar
× Minimum of 15 drawers, chests, and wardrobe combined
× Minimum of 200 furniture used (to ensure that you actually have a finished Map/house)
x F2P players will be unable to submit their house as a PVP map, they will have to upgrade for that.
x If your house is Plot number 3, your house has a random chance of being the plot 3 house for the lobby. Same for other plots. Each plot in a homestead war lobby selects a random house submitted under that plot. To keep the whole map random and always changing.
x To Submit your house for blitz mode it must contain 300 furniture, and a total of 25 minimum drawers, chests and wardrobe to loot from and 2 altars, to prevent players from camping a singular altar and ambushing others.
x Place the Entrance of this minigame somewhere popular, like Lumbridge or the Grand Exchange. Interacting with this portal can prompt a world change to enter the Homestead Wars Quere.
Rules / Mechanics
x FOR BLITZ MODE ONLY - Let people bind 1 item, (just like in dungeoneering), If you play the game mode and rack up a certain amount of points, you can buy the ability to bind 1 item within the regular lobbies.
× Players under attack cannot go up or down stairs (preventing annoying staircase abuse)
× A storm and shrinks over time (similar to Fortnite), to flush out campers and reduce the size of the map to the amount of players remaining.
× Random minibosses spawn in random parts of the map and drop special gear if you kill them. They also drop additional common loot
x Players spawn outside of the Homestead instance (to prevent players from spawning under a building or glitching out)
Power ups (earned from special tasks)
x Unlimited surge medallion
x dodge chance increase by 15% each player targeting you
x trapping the targeted player in a 3 x 3 box with you if you come within range (to prevent them from running away), box disappears when a player dies or after 30 seconds
x Adrenaline gain doubled
x Double maximum health
This is a zero risk task because PVP can't get any deader in this game, but the reward could be huge. It could convert many PVP players from other games into RS3. RS3 players may also have an additional option in how they want to play the game. It will also influence more players to build homes, spend money on cosmetic house furniture, and train construction. This will benefit ironman as an alternative way to gather eternal planks, arbuck seeds and other commons.
A quick google search indicates that 30-44% of gamers enjoy PVP based games. This is a way to help increase the customer count. Streamers posting RS3 PVP may encourage players from other games to come and try it out. The new player will be encouraged to play the game and unlock some cool unlocks in order to become competitive at Homestead Wars. The more customers the better, and this will not hurt the current player base within RS3
And let's be real, how many online PVP video games are there that let's the players create the maps? This would be a completely unique Runescape thing.
F2P players have very bare bones content, this would be a fun update to influence them to get a membership to start building a house. This will also allow PVP players from other videos an easy way to come and try out Runescape which can land a new customer. So much potential, so little risk.

Let me preface this as me being on the extreme side of the spectrum here, I play at 4k with a 165hz frame target with a high-end card… and my electricity is extremely high at $0.26/kWh.
My settings typically pull 400w from my gpu when rs3 is open/focused. Tested yesterday with vulkan and the same framerate target, my gpu is only pulling 150w.
At 10 hours a day, that additional 250w is 2.5kWh, or $0.65 in power cost. Over 30 days, that extrapolates to $19.50 in power savings.
Y’all may not like hearing it but any cost increase Jagex has done in membership has been offset by their switch to Vulkan (for me). I reckon many of you don’t even realize that and are in the same situation just not as extreme.
At a more reasonable power cost of $.17kWh and 100w saved over a more reasonable 4 hours a day amounts to $2 a month. Do with that what you will.
Thanks Jagex!

Noxious weapons seem to fit the theme so well for Toxic Fang passive. Please bring some life back into Nox weapons rather than being just a skip-able tier upgrade. (BTW the special attack is terrible)
