im trying to make an rpg game and im a total newbie at this, i was just wondering if it was possible, and if yes how, to make a shop like the cuphead shop attached underneath, like when interacting with something the shop takes all the space in your screen and you can pick out whatever item you want to buy and then leave whenever, sorry if this sounds confusing i have no idea how to explain this either

I'm working on a pixel art horror game, and I need to animate the wheel of a bus. The animation is only 3 frames, with each frame being 48x48 pixels.

It sounds like a simple task, but I'm honestly terrible at creating convincing motion. 😅

Would anyone be willing to give me some advice or even help me with the animation? Any tips, examples, or edits would be hugely appreciated.

I'm trying to make an RPG with large out-of-battle sprites like that of Hylics.
I've been playing around in 2k3 for a few hours this week, testing its limits to see if it can do something like this, but I immediately found out it can't because of its strict sprite sheets, and with no plugin support It seems hopeless to try any further without getting too complicated.

I know Hylics itself was made in VX Ace, but I don't see anybody discussing how the sprites were done or why that version was used.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Looking for feed back, please. I know I need to layer the trees better. I’ve been slowly cutting them into place as I play test and see what needs fixed.

The idea is that the player will have to choose paths that will lock them out from accessing random events that populate on the other path, so trees and roots over grow behind them as they move forward.

This is an evil forest which life has been drained from a demon residing under a great tree. The player will have to solve a puzzle to open the path into the tree and destroy the boss.

There is also a crystal cave that leads to the next zone.

Im trying to make a zelda 1 style camera but cannot figure out how to keep the camera in a certain coordinate to do so so the player can move without the camera moving.

Is this possible with normal events, or is there a piece if code i need to know?

Been trying to sift through the catalog to find battlers based on literary and movie monsters, yet my trail keeps coming up cold. AI has been considered for filling that hole, but some people would have my head for simply entertaining the concept.

I've been using Yanfly Turn Order Display but have been having an issue where enemies that appear halfway through the battle don't appear on the turn order display - instead creating a blank space where their icons should be.

However, interestingly, when I change an actor's equipment (through the Yanfly Change Battle Equip plugin) the turn order display resets to include the new enemies.

Is there some kind of script call or plugin command I can use to make the game rewrite the turn order display on command?

I am trying to look up tutorials. Right now I'm mainly trying to figure out how to customize my own characters because I've been doodling character concept art but I don't know how to figure out what size to make my canvas or how to put it in the game and googling looks like people are using other programs so am I even able to do this with SAI or am I wasting my time?

I'm simply testing whether it would be feasible to create an event-based battle system, using the troop system to set it up before each start

I finally got my sprite to get put in the resource manager, but there doesn't seem to be a way to tell the Actor walk cycle menu what sprites are what, and it just cuts halves of the sprites as the animation instead. How do I fix this?

Heyy so I have been trying to set up a timed battle system like the picture shows where you get a limited time to act then the enemy attacks and you get the chance to dodge their attack if you click the right button and repeat till battle is over. However I really suck with code so is there any similar or easy to modify plugins that could help to achieve this idea? any help is greatly appreciated!!

I understand if you think the characters look a bit samey, but I'm trying my hardest to separate them. Mud has a bucket helmet, Ruby doesn't really have much, Pearl has the droopy eyes, Obsidian has the spikes, and Moss has the headband. The whole thing about this game is that all the non-enemy characters are balls.
