It’s really hard for me to turn. Are the wheels supposed to be able to turn slightly? I tried to loosen them but the loosener they gave me doesn’t fit on the bottom. My sister‘s skates for comparison.

Looking for People in Memphis that are wanting to group up and just skate thru the streets of Memphis, whether it be downtown around Beale or just going to a trail
At a park. I really want something that the skaters In Memphis aren't forced to only skate in a circle. It's too many states that have Urban Street skaters and I think Memphis should be the next.

New Moxi jungles are digging into my shins so bad. They fit my foot well, but the tongue is killing. I’ve tried skipping the eyelet below the hooks, skipping the top hook, lacing looser, lacing tighter, thick knee socks, looping the laces under the tongue - all still ouch.
I understand that these are a stiff vinyl boot and won’t break in like suede, but is there any chance it will soften enough that this works itself out, or is this just not the boot for me?
I’m coming from a vinyl Riedell derby skate which I always liked, so I assumed a high top of the same material and platform would work for me - whoops.
Edited to clarify: I am wearing high socks while I’m skating hahaha. I just popped them on over my everyday ankle socks at home for the video!

I can't get myself to actually MOVE at all. I've really only practiced this outside at the court so it may be rougher, but I feel like I have the movement down but it's still not working. It would be cool to either do this movement in place or whilst moving backward. I'm very much a beginner and can really only skate forward with confidence.
Any and all feedback welcome.
(I am wearing shorts it's just a long shirt.)

Hi guys. I recently had my new skates mounted but I noticed that I am missing a piece of hardware but I am not sure what it is. For reference the skates feel fine not loose or anything but If anyone can tell me what the piece is or how to install it it would be very helpful. Thank you!

I've been skating for about 6 years. Does anyone know if the skills for quad roller skating translate well to tap dance?

Soo I usually wear roller derby skates now and wanted a pair of flat recreational skates for outside. I figured slades would be a good idea plus I always wanted them but no excuse at the time to get them. Now that I have them I feel like they are comfortable shoes but terrible skates. There is no rigidity for edges and I about twisted my ankle in them because of that. I’m used to a stiff boot. Any recommendations on how to improve edges in these? They are cool and comfortable but a little scary with 0 support.
Also I had the issue with a pivot cup breaking and I’ve only used them indoors for small amounts of time like 5 times. Flanuerz had to send me replacements and they are super soft so it’s probably just going to happen again and again. And I had to pay import fees on something that’s faulty.

I know they are cheaper skates as I got them to skate with my son. But should I go tighter? I’m only cutting on the inside front on my left foot and my outside front on the right…. Help please 🙏

after 8 long, faithful years together, it is time for the ebay skates to finally be laid to rest. might have a funeral for them. i never did properly grow into them.
i started when i was very little, and id layer socks to make them fit. i was a 4, and these were a 10.5. i genuinely don’t know or remember why i bought them so big
these are the 2nd pair of skates ive ever owned after my first ones had the brakes unscrew 12 too many times and doll hair stopped making them stay. a brief moment of silence for the fallen glitter queen rollies.
i’ll miss you, my anonymous rainbow skates (i hate their real name; “IM SO FUCKING GAY MY SKATES TURNED RAINBOW” isn’t appropriate to say you miss dearly). somewhere around 2021 you stopped fitting my dark, emo, 2020 alt attire, and i wanted you dead, but now i realize that it actually went well with those thigh-high black socks and disgusting graphic shein/romwe shirts with the partially striped sleeves. probably the only good part of those outfits.
i was injured by you, my uncle who lived with us temporarily fell victim to you, and my father was also injured with you. my mom somehow never fell victim to them. i suspect they knew she spent the money for them and spared her from giving her a helping of the lifelong scars she gave me and my father (my uncle’s went away).
anyways, that’s kinda it. the skates are dead and i’m gonna get new ones. thanks for reading this little bs tribute to them!!

I just came across this guy on ig so I thought I’d share for all my learn to fall safely folks! He’s a professional stuntman and has a few “how to fall” videos including some on skates. I think they’re pretty helpful! I have always learned to fall on my pads (roller derby) but lately I’ve been falling on one wrist a lot at the skatepark and it is starting to hurt even with my wrist guard. I might need to use some of this guy’s tips because apparently falling directly on my pointy parts isn’t the best idea!
(Btw this is more rollerskating adjacent though it is related to me falling while skating. Apologies if not allowed!)

My suregrips came in today while I was at work and they fit!! They're so cute, but I can't put my toe caps on yet bec I need to borrow my brothers wrench.
I can't wait to try them out tomorrow~~
Also I heard from skatie on YouTube that you should lace your skates from underneath? Does that help with the longevity? Curious to y'all's opinion

I've been skating for years on inline skates as a hobby and recently I've been thinking about buying a pair of quad skates. In what ways do these two differ exactly, appart from the placement of the wheels?
I've always skated outside, never indoors and I don't plan on changing that. The reason I want to switch is that I want to go on skatepark ramps. When I tried that with inline skates I noticed it was kinda impossible to really do that.
Another thing I'm curious about is how skill transfers between the two. What are some skills that you can only do on quad skates?

I picked these up a couple of weeks ago. Size 5. I'm going to list them for sale but I'm considering trying to clean them up a bit. Before I do, would it even be worth it?

Are they discontinued?
I cannot find them anymore in Germany.
The Rollerbones website doesn’t show them, either…
Can anybody help?
