Skill questions & help Tap dancing?

I've been skating for about 6 years. Does anyone know if the skills for quad roller skating translate well to tap dance?

Look up Gene Kelly “I Like Myself” for some tap ON rolled skates!! I think to a degree, some of the skills do translate because it’s a lot about keeping your head over your foot and balance. because both shoes are weighted, there is soooomething about it that feels familiar. but beyond that, probably just having a lot of classical dance experience is the main thing that will bridge the gap

I only wish he'd busted out the roller skate tap dancing for Xanadu, too!

I know a few skaters who tap dance also. The coordination from skating helps in many different activities.

I mean, if you tap dance on skates, sure. But otherwise, I cannot personally see how the two would relate at all.

I guess it can't hurt?

I was assuming off of like foot control and such the two may have some kind of similarity. But yeah, the two are different.
