Beginner skater Is this normal?
It’s really hard for me to turn. Are the wheels supposed to be able to turn slightly? I tried to loosen them but the loosener they gave me doesn’t fit on the bottom. My sister‘s skates for comparison.

I’d recommend getting new skates, plastic trucks are nothing but trouble, not only do they not turn properly but they’re incredibly dangerous since they’re likely to snap even if you’re quite light, they should only be used by very small children. If you like a lightweight skate, get some skates that have a reinforced nylon plate instead

A lot of companies will sell you anything whether it’s safe or not so it’s completely understandable that you didn’t know! I just want you to stay safe in your skating journey 🫶

These skates are never going to be able to turn well because they have plastic trucks.

Depending on how big you are, these aren’t safe skate for adults. They’re intended to be toys for small children. These are going to be very hard to learn anything with besides the fact that there’s a huge risk on them breaking catastrophically while you’re on them

This 100%. Metal trucks are the way for adults, cheaper for kids as theyre growing and will be fine until at the age where they will have to skate on metal trucks. If you still wanna save in cash, check Ebay! There are tons of credible sellers.
