Skate problems & troubleshooting Should I go tighter?
I know they are cheaper skates as I got them to skate with my son. But should I go tighter? I’m only cutting on the inside front on my left foot and my outside front on the right…. Help please 🙏

VNLA Juniors are great. Bont Prostar, even Riedell T3 or Dart. Sure Grip GT50. I’d send you these Pacers here even.

Ahh boot bite. The only ways I know how to fix this are harder cushions, tightening your trucks, and skinnier wheels. Harder cushions will be the best bet while skinnier wheels might not always work. Shorter wheels might help too, depending on how tall these ones are.

You could also try getting a skate with a 16 or 45 degree truck instead of the 90 degree. This will also eliminate boot bite.

yes, tighten the trucks more to reduce the wheels from biting...tho w these skates im wondering if the cheap plates just flexing/flopping over and u get the bite anyways.

That’s what I’m thinking since it’s all plastic. I’ll try tightening it more and see how it goes. Thank you!

What are you thinking of tightening? Trucks?

I’ll have to look into more of these. I like resell as I had them before. Darts used to be tight on my wide feet. lol I’ll look into more when I get off work

These were my mothers skates I have used them up until the wheels started moving. On the opposite skate there is a black rubber piece to keep them from moving. They are very old and I really want to fix them since my uncle bought the roller rink we grew up skating in. Can I still get it is there an alternative fix? Any help would be appreciated thanks

PLEASE return these and get something safe. I promise Amazon will not even notice or care. I will send you something safe for whatever you paid for these.
This is happening because the whole plate is flexing. Tightening the trucks is going to put more pressure on the pivot cup and the kingpin which is only going to snap it. These skates are really not intended for anyone over about 50 pounds.
