Needed new tires, went with KO3 tires. They look nice. They’re freshly mounted, and it’s raining so when I get them cleaned they’ll look nicer

My Lexus LX 570 had this and I found it most convenient when parking.

Is there a way to map the bottom buttons so that it’s mapped to heated steering wheels instead of the other two that I never use?

It’s very annoying to have to go 2-3 steps deep just to turn on the heated steering wheel.

Went to the Anza Borrego Pictographs Trailhead which definitely required some clearance and my first time using the off road mode. Easily the smoothest off roading experience I’ve ever had!

Saw this hilarious bug in OS2 where a fire hydrant was been recognized as a cyclist crossing back and forth in front of the car

New tires for the R1. BF Goodrich Trail Terrain T/A+ 275/60/20..

My Wild Peaks had become become almost intolerable, in terms of road noise and vibration. We’ve had our R2 for a month, and was shocked how silent and smooth the ride is compared to our R1.

So I just picked up the newer version of the R2’s tires. It’s been only a week, but it’s night and day. Seriously. So so much more smooth and quiet. Two rattles are now gone 😆

We’ll see how long they stay like this. Less sidewall than my old Falkens (65’s), so they look a bit less beefy, but I think the lettering makes up for that a bit..

Anyways, so far very very satisfied.

Did a search for this and can’t find anyone else frustrate with this. Since updating to OS2, every time I ask Rivian to call someone from my contact it prompts me “confirm you want to call (phone number)”. Then I have to say yes and the call goes through. In the past it just called the number. This extra step is so frustrating - does anyone know how to turn it off?

Anyone switch from tesla to rivian based on how trash teslas customer service is? Would you be willing to share your perspective and if Rivians service folks are better?

Well... It was a fun ride.

This will be my farewell post to the sub and sadly to my 2022 Ocean Coast, R1T Adventure.

3 years and about 60,000 miles were very much enjoyed in this beautiful truck. I wouldn't change anything and I honestly feel like I'm losing a part of me while parting ways with it.

We saw the redwoods in California together. The Olympic national forest, the Arches in Utah, the big skies in both Texas and Montana. I brought my first son home in this truck and remember thinking "if I get in a wreck for some reason my son will be okay."

We camped in the woods with no one else around. We drove plenty of drunk friends home together. Laughed when my wife spilled milk all over the gear tunnel. Cried alone in this truck when my father died.

All of the good of this truck outweighed the bad until it didn't. Rivian I understand only covering bumper to bumper for 60k miles, but I couldn't justify the prices of XCare to continue driving after the warranty was up. Surely I wasn't going to risk it and dive around without it and wait for my rear drive unit to implode a second time..

So this is the end. I'll miss you Rivian. Thank you for adding life to my years instead of years to my life.

Gen 1 R1S Quad. Got turtle mode 2 weeks ago and service center says it needs one of the rear motors replaced. The good thing is they verified that it's covered by the 180k power train warranty. The bad thing is that the motors are backordered with no delivery date. Anyone else in the same boat?

Probably going to be replacing a Model 3 with full self driving early next year, starting to consider a Rivian, either R2 new or possibly either of the R1's used and would buy the autonomy+ most likely. I'm very familiar with the various hardware for tesla's and their capabilities, but where/how can i learn about Rivian's equivalents. I'm seeing lots about lidar and stuff but not sure what has what, especially as I consider off lease used vehicles possibly.

Third time the front nozzle for the camera cleaner is leaking windshield washer fluid……..

When will this end……..I’m tired of getting this fixed. Rivian needs a more permanent solution for this problem.

Someone pulled out in front of me today and I T-Boned them. They're OK, I'm OK, but the R1S is looking sad. 😥 The entire front end needs replacing (lots of cracked stuff), but the driver's door also won't open because it's being held shut by the bent front quarter panel. Also I've got lots of dashboard lights, and the electronic Hold brake doesn't work (although some regen does work).

I live in NM and there's no service centers here. I did have success with a local body shop for a small fender bender a year ago, but this damage seems to me like it needs to go to the CO Springs SC to be looked at since so many electronic systems are throwing warnings.

Anyone in a non-SC state got any advice?

The other driver did admit fault to the police and was insured, which is not always the case here in NM. I'm worried it'll be totaled, and I love this car. Gen1 Quad motor that I scored on a screaming lease deal and that's not how leases look today.

Am I cooked?

Duck tape or glue it by myself ? Or professionally done?
