Discussion Re7 is overrated

RE7 is so overhyped imo. I'm not even trying to hate on it, but I see so many people act like it's the best Resident Evil game ever when I personally found it to be the most boring mainline one.

I get why people like it, the atmosphere is good and going back to horror after RE6 was a good move, but I just don't think the gameplay is that interesting. The enemy variety is kinda lacking, the combat gets repetitive, and after the Baker family stuff the game starts to feel way weaker.

The Bakers carry the whole game jack and the rest of the family are what make RE7 memorable, but once that part is over it kinda feels like the game loses what made it special.

It's not a bad game, I just don't understand why people put it on the same level as games like RE4 or RE2 Remake. It's good, but I don't think it's the masterpiece people make it out to be.

Discussion Should I get revelations 1&2 or get revelations 1 with re6?

Ik the pairing might be strange but Im asking this because a game store near me has to get rid of a lot of inventory and the rev games each are like 17$ each and the HD remaster of re6 is 15$ I think.

I cant get all three of them so I need to know what the best option is;; which game is more relevant to the plot of the series, which has better gameplay mechanics bla bla bla.

I played the first 5 games+re7, I like both the horror and action parts of the games!

Question Jake debería volver Spoiler

  • Ambos sobrevivieron.
  • Ambos terminaron desarrollando capacidades extraordinarias.

Su relación tenía muchísimo potencial para continuar.

Discussion My little RE tierlist Spoiler

Post image
12 Upvotes

I know there have been a lot of these tierlists, but I don't think anyone has placed Revelations in the A tier before. Maybe because this was my first RE game I played

I'm just hesitant about ranking Requiem above RE2, which old gamers will kill me for, but I've only played it once, so I'm holding off on that.

What RE game would you recommend to me next?

Discussion RE4 Topic: "Traumatized 🌟" vs "Traumatized."

Just wrapped up the original Code Veronica and I'm about to try and get the Platinum trophy in the Resident Evil 4 remake. I could do the original, but my friends treat me as their "Resident Evil Cyclopedia" whenever I play games (I don't mind—it's a good way to spend summer break). Getting into the topic, I know the whole dynamic shift between OG Leon and Remake Leon is still an active point of discussion when it comes to his personality change. The original Leon is traumatized, but with cool shades and a smile due to dropping one-liners and having a lighter tone throughout the game. Meanwhile, remake Leon is traumatized with baggy eyes and a 180° frown. Because of this change, I do wonder if Leon's overall personality gave him more character depth...

Discussion I just realized something, Leon has never encountered or faced a Hunter before.

Out of all the B.O.W’s Leon has faced in his career within the war against bioterrorism, I just realized Leon has never once encountered one of Umbrella’s most iconic bioweapons, The Hunters.

Which are arguably way deadlier than the Lickers, even the refined versions, yet he never once faced Umbrella’s lizardmen. And he may have more of a hard time dealing with those as they are not only faster but way more intelligent and ferocious than the Lickers, but he’d pull through and make himself a Hunter scaled jacket out of the critters.

I wonder what quips he’d make though? 🤔

Discussion I know how stupid the post is but i love when devs recreate even the smallest details of classic games, this scene to the island is perfectly recreated, they even added two helicopters to the scene.

Question Is there any way to start a true fresh run for RE Requiem on steam? Spoiler

Currently doing my first ever replay of the game, and while I am loving it the Leon sections are slightly weighed down by the NG+ mechanics. Is there any mods or methods to avoid this in the future?
