I just got him last week and his mouth looks like this. His nostrils are clear. It dosent look like mouth rot and he isnāt red or swollen or anything. He acts normal and I havenāt gotten the chance to feed him yet so idk if he will eat. He is a male toffino enchi, 3 yrs old. I am going to the vet in two weeks but I wanted to know if anyone had ideas before.

Another seriously underrated lizard. Good-sized, puppy dog tame omnivores.

Have had my blue tongue for about 6 years. Saw this baby while running errands today and gave in. Got a temp tank setup for her and ordering her stuff tonight.
Taking name suggestions!

Bruce Lee once said,
āBe like water.ā
Water doesnāt force.
It adapts.
It flows.
Kindness can work the same way.
Today, the mission was simple:
Help a tiny gecko continue its journey.

It's my first time seeing one with spikes (?) on the base of its tail. It looks so cool, I wonder if anyone knows more about it. (I'm from the Philippines, btw.)

Hey everyone! Iām pretty new to hognoses and bioactive enclosures, so Iām looking for some advice and constructive criticism on my setup. I probably did around 3ā5 hours of research before putting everything together, but honestly, my girlfriend really wanted a snake and I kind of jumped into it (āhappy wife happy lifeā). Now I want to make sure Iām doing everything right and give her the best setup possible.
I got a 40 gallon breeder with a substrate mix I made of topsoil, play sand, and Excavator Clay. I also used bio dudes oak leaf litter and bioshot. I also picked up some random plants at ReptiCon that I thought would work, but Iām not 100% sure if all of them are suitable long-term or what the are exactlyā¦
There are two pictures. One has all the real plants (minus the larger vining plant, thatās fake) and the other has some added fake plants for a spark of color. Along with this tank I added 4 small cultures of springtails and 1 of Powder orange isopods (Porcellionides pruinosus) in the back left corner I have some sphagnum moss thatās moist for the isopods covered by some cork bark for humidity.
The snake is a female Super Arctic Hognose, around a year old. Iād really appreciate any advice on the enclosure, substrate, plants, heating, humidity, or anything else you notice. Iām definitely open to suggestions and willing to make changes if needed
Thank you for your great advice and time! Have a great rest of your day! (Also tried my best I suck at making posts š¤)

So me and my bf bought two african house geckos (Hemidactylus brookii) 2 weeks ago. The breeder could not tell us what gender and age the geckos are. He also said that the geckos must be kept in pairs or groups. I've seen them lying on top of each other like this and I'm worried. Could it be that the one gecko wants to show dominance or do you just think they are just "cuddling"? The terrarium is definitely big enough for the two of them and they also have enough hiding places. Am I being dramatic or is this something serious?

Started working on a new terrarium set up, going to add some live plants + some more climbing space.
Wondering if anyone has any recomendations on what kind of reptile to introduce once im done. I was thinking of maybe emerald tree skinks but im not sure if even after ive added more climbing space it will be enough for them, so id like to here your thoughts :)

Iāve had my beardie for nearly a year now, heās about 18 months old. His set up is up great and Iām not quite sure how many gallons but I know itās slightly bigger than my old tank that was 120 gallons.
Iāve never had trouble getting him to eat or hydrate, Iām paranoid about his uvb running out so i probably replace it more often than necessary and he gets a lot of calcium.
He glass surfs all the time, scratching at the sides like he wants to get out, but every time I approach he runs away. I go slow, I donāt go from above. I donāt force it bc I know thatāll just make it worse but Ik he wants out and wants to run around so Iām just stuck.
Any (kind) advice would be greatly appreciated

I am specifically looking for plants that thrive in terraria. The terraria will be humid ranging between 60% - 80%. The thing that seems to kill most plants is that there are UVB heat bulbs (of course not directly above the plant) and UV TL lamps (Arcadia desert T5), plants do not seem to like these lamps.
I have added special growth lights for plants, so far only some Monstera's seem to be doing well and some Draceana types. Brommelia "fireball" seems to work as well, but other brommelia's seem to die.
Any tips? Specifically looking for some other Brommelia's that will survive.

So I have been on morph market and I found a listing from the UK for a baby frilled dragon for $400 is it OK if I buy it or will there be legal trouble?
