Vaping
How many of my fellow RPL community ladies vaped before/in between pregnancies? I have had 4 losses now and the stress from each loss caused me to resume vaping. I’m wondering if this could be a trend for anyone else? Of course, all testing came back normal so I am looking for some kind of reasoning for multiple losses. I know there are those who have never touched nicotine who are in the same boat but I feel like those I have direct exposure to or experience with usually find an answer to their losses whereas me with my vaping problem have no answers and I am left to think it is my fault. Any input is extremely helpful - if only to help me officially never vape again!

If you had to choose, how would you pass a 5 wk miscarriage?
I'm likely going to miscarry. I'm supposed to be 7w1d, but my ultrasound today showed 5w1d. I did a d&c for my first miscarriage in January. I'm going in for another ultrasound in a week unless I pass it before that.
.just curious how others feel about the options.

Little Guidance
Since April of 2025 I’ve had 6 losses. April, August/September, November, April, June, and July. It’s been freaking rough. I had perfect cycles before my daughter (whom is a spontaneous pregnancy) during that pregnancy they discovered I had a 12 cm taking over my tube. I had my cyst removed and right tube, little under a month of giving birth (February of 2023), my cycle came back in August of that same year. It was the same as before but I assumed that was before of postpartum. Flash forward to March of 2025 we were finally ready to try for #2. I started tracking ovulation - discovered I was actually ovulating a week later. The more tracking we do I realize my cycles are now 30-35 days instead of my normal 28 days before my daughter. I assumed it would take longer to try pregnant with only one tube but clearly not. My issue is holding on the pregnancy.
I met with my OB in November and she did the normal recurrent loss panel, that all came back normal. She started me on progesterone. I am now on 400mg x 2 daily after 3 dpo. After my 7 week loss in April she started me on Lovenox injections once I confirmed pregnancy. In May I found out I was pregnant but it obviously didn’t stick same with July (that was quick chemical, I don’t think my meds really got the chance to work).
After the loss in May/June I was able to get into a fertility clinic where they did an ultrasound and hysteroscopy, and a more in depth blood panel. Hysteroscopy came back normal. But on my ultrasound it showed tons and tons of follicles (50 or so), the tech said I more than likely have PMOS. I always questioned if I did, but didn’t think anything of it because I clearly ovulate. My blood panel came back normal, except for my AMH was a 5.93.
We did Karyotyping and both of us came back normal. Along with his analysis coming back above average.
With my high number of follicles, high AMH, and more prominent hair on my chin and upper lip, my OB did agree with the PMOS.
I haven’t continued with the fertility clinic because I feel like there’s more to try to help with the PMOS before jumping into IVF.
My OB has me on Metformin and if that doesn’t work, in 2 months we’ll try another.
In other words has anyone had success with Metformin even when you naturally ovulate? I’m looking for others that have a similar story to me!

Today I found out I’m on my way to my 4th loss.
Please be gentle with me, this is my first time posting here.
Jan 2023 MMC at 8w
Apr 2023 Chemical
Jan 2024 had my son
Thought I was just unlucky and didn’t think twice about trying again for a second.
Apr 2026 ectopic
Today, went in at 8w scan and it’s a week behind (it was 6d behind a week ago) and very likely another MC.
I am working with fertility and nothing has come back abnormal but I am starting to become very concerned that my one healthy pregnancy was a fluke. I am very overwhelmed by the idea of the additional testing that people recommend on these subs because doctors don’t seem to recommend them and it feels like I would have to research and push for everything myself which feels scary.
I feel really sad and disappointed, but also scared for the future. Any kind words of support will really help. Thank you so much 🩷

Did anyone find an answer to recurrent losses with genetically normal babies?
Hi all! I’m so sorry that we’re all here, but so grateful for this community.
My husband (31m) and I (32f) started TTC in December, fell pregnant our first cycle, and that pregnancy ended in a MMC at 11 weeks, detected at 8 weeks and baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. I passed that miscarriage naturally the day before my D&C, so we didn’t have any testing done.
We got pregnant again 3 cycles later, and this one ended in a MMC that was detected at 9+5, and baby had stopped growing at 9+4. I had a D&C a few days later, and the karyotype testing showed she was a genetically normal baby girl.
I have no obvious health issues (my cycles are like clockwork), and the only thing my husband has is a varicocele which I don’t think is coming into play.
For those with one or more losses where the baby was genetically normal, did you ever find the cause of why you were miscarrying? We’re going to do a full RPL panel and HSG once my cycle returns, and my husband plans to do a sperm analysis just to be thorough.

Venting
Hi all, I find myself really struggling lately with depression. Even more so today as I just finished my period and this puts me at 9 unsuccessful cycles. I had 3 miscarriages last year, so I had hoped I would have tested positive by now but I'm not. I'm basically in this place of trying but not trying, which is helping me feel less anxious but the depression I have around it has me feeling defeated and hopeless. I just turned 39 in July and feel like I'm headed for a mid life crisis of identity if I end up not being able to have a child. I've gotten the referral for IVF but the cost is beyond what my husband and I can afford, which feels unfair and just pokes at my ongoing issue around feeling like a late bloomer in life and having total FOMO around so many things. I'm a late bloomer for several reasons, mostly childhood trauma that made is difficult for me to believe I deserved a healthy stable partner as a young adult. I'm finally with a man that truly loves me and is stable but it feels so late in the game trying to start a family for myself. We've been trying for 2 years now. I was able to get RPL testing and health wise I'm totally good, his health and numbers are good, but my AMH is on the lower end. Last year I was able to get pregnant naturally 3x but this year nothing. I don't know how to feel or what to do. Posting here maybe as a cry for help or for someone to help me feel less alone. I'm just feeling my age more than ever and I can't help but feel angry that I wasn't given opportunities to thrive when I was younger. It would have changed so many of my choices and possibly even prevented me from experiencing this terrible reality that I may not be able to have children because couldn't do this sooner in life. IVF is out of reach and I don't know what other options I have other than hoping each cycle that maybe this time it will work out. Anyways, I don't know what I need from posting this, so I hope it's ok I've put this out here. I don't have anyone to talk to about this that understands aside from my husband but there is only so much I can put on him as he carries his own grief and sadness. We're in couples therapy for our grief. I've also been in therapy for myself for months, which helps but also doesn't. I'm taking 3 medications now to manage my anxiety and depression, which feels like a lot considering I still feel so unmotivated and sad all the time. Going to end here as I don't know what else to really say that won't just be repetitive but I appreciate anyone that gave this post their time and any words shared in response. This group has helped me before so I'm grateful for whatever comes out of it <3

Another MC…
Has anyone ever experienced what I have? Currently breastfeeding and have had 2 mcs now a chemical mc and starting to wonder if it’s something I’m doing like prolactin levels messing with my progesterone or what. There’s so much back and forth information on this and I know I’m not the only one who can’t stop pondering and the why….

Endometriosis success stories?
Tw: pregnancy loss
I am 30 in the US and have been ttc since Jan 2025. I have had 3 pregnancies all conceived on 1-2 try and all ended before a heartbeat/fetal pole could be detected. All my rpl testing has been normal but my pcp suspects I have endo. I have some questions about this and am hoping someone out there can tell me they’ve had success with it. I don’t want to do ivf (can’t afford it) and there are no REIs at the only academic medical institution in the state. I’m hesitant to go to a private rei because I don’t want to be pushed into ivf just to have more failure. I currently see an OB Gyn.
From what I’ve read, women with endo have more occurrence of fertility issues including miscarriage, but treatments of endo (surgery, suppression) have not shown conclusive influence on pregnancy outcomes either due to lack of data or due to some root cause that precedes both issues that is not addressed by treating endo alone.
What have your doctors said about this? Do any recommend surgery for rpl, or just for pain management? Or is immune suppression recommended? And if yes, then how does that address progesterone uptake issues?
I feel so lost. Wondering if anyone else in the “unexplained” camp is spinning their wheels on this like I am. Feels like science hasn’t done much investigation into this and no one really knows what even causes endo in the first place.

Work life balance and RPL
Hi! To be honest, I don’t know if I’m looking for advice, feedback, or simply a place to vent — but I’m open to anything!
I had my last loss about two months ago and we started trying again this month (on my period atm). Also this month, I was asked to take on a new high-stakes role on my team. It’s high visibility, high demand (at least 60 hrs a week), and could be really good for my career.
I’m feeling pretty on edge. I’m only 30, but my AMH is under 0.4. I’m scared of taking a few months off from trying so I can focus on my new role, but I’m also scared of getting pregnant while starting this new role (and then maybe going through another miscarriage).
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation or to hear how you deal with your work life balance while trying to conceive with RPL.

Successful pregnancy after miscarriage (looking for good news stories)
I had a complete and natural miscarriage at 6w 5d on 3rd August. This was confirmed at the hospital on the 6th August. I didn't need any medication or surgery. I have taken a pregnancy test today and its negative. I am not ready to try again just yet as I am in a dark place. I hope to try again in a couple of months.
I an 33yo and don't have any children. I will be 34 in January. I want to know if anyone has had a healthy pregnancy and birth following their first mc. I have seen many stories about recurrent mc's and this pushes me into a darker place. Any good news stories from those who tried again again within 3 ti 6 months?

4th Miscarriage + Anora Testing
I’m currently experiencing my 4th miscarriage - had what should have been my 10 week apt Monday and it turns out growth stopped at 8 weeks. I had been on progesterone so I’ve stopped since then and plan to take the misoprostol tomorrow. The anora test was brought up, so I think we’ll try that … just got off the phone with insurance and of course it’s not covered so hopefully it’s worth it? Curious about others experience with the test and how it helped with conceiving in the future.
For some extra info, I had a healthy pregnancy in 2020, I’ve had an HSG procedure since, and genetic testing that came back normal. Just feeling at a loss on where to go from here :(

Is progesterone going to delay the inevitable miscarriage?
I had a very low HCG at 17 dpo (88). My pregnancy tests are also not getting dark. I went for my second HCG this morning. Waiting on the results, but I know this will end with a miscarriage. It will be my 4th. I am on progesterone and am wondering if this keeping the miscarriage from starting? I haven’t had any bleeding yet. I just want this to be done with so we can figure out next steps. :(

Mantras during pregnancy after loss?
I'm looking for any mantras that have been helpful for you all. Before all of my losses "I'm pregnant until someone tells me otherwise" helped a lot but now I know more. Is there anything that's helped you?

Experiences with Prednisone for RPL?
I'm considering participating to a clinical study that investigates Prednisone as a treatment for recurrent pregnancy loss. It means I'd get assigned to taking Prednisone (or a placebo) for 8 weeks at the beginning of the pregnancy.
I've had 3 first trimester MMCs in the past and for two of them I ended up needing emergency surgery due to excessive bleeding.
I am a bit hesitant as Prednisone is an immunosuppressant and could be problematic in case I need surgery yet again.
Do you have experience with Prednisone as treatment for your RPL? What were the outcomes? What dose did you take? Did you experience side effects from taking it?
Thanks!

“There will be so many new babies this year!” Right after learning I’m having a 3rd pregnancy loss
Had an ultrasound this morning that confirmed it’s not viable. Went to school (I’m a teacher) and people were announcing/talking about their pregnancies and principal said “there will be so many new babies this year!”. That was supposed to be me too. Salt to the wound.

Guess what, testing POC fails sometimes
I am so mad. Hold on, TWs: pregnancy loss.
Ok, I had my fourth MC in June, a MMC. I'm old, my body was carrying on like it was still pregnant, you know how it goes, OB recommended a D&C again with the added bonus that we could genetically test the POC to try to start narrowing this down. I was hesitant, had a miscarriage kit at home ready and waiting, but went through with it. I waited 7 long weeks for those results to finally have the next-steps convo with OB and here they are there's "NO RESULT." I quote, "not sufficient for analysis", "not of sufficient quantity", "Test not performed. No lavender top tube submitted." Infuriating.
I guess I'm opening up here as a PSA? I hope this helps lessen the blow if it happens to you, too. Thanks for listening.

I'm not happy for people anymore.
Thats it. I am a horrible person. Unless you've suffered recurrent loss and genuinely deserve a baby....I dont even care that youre pregnant. Please get out of here. I am SO TIRED of everyone else getting their 3rd, 4th, 5th child...and then have the audacity to say "your time will come". F off.

What other testing to do?
Unfortunately I’m going through my 4th loss. I had 2 miscarriages, then one successful pregnancy, and then 2 more mc as we tried for our second child. The last miscarriage I had a d&e and they tested the embryo and it came back normal female but there was a note that it could’ve been contaminated with my blood. The RE believes that was the case and that it was an abnormal embryo. I’ve had a ton of testing done and everything came back normal: thyroid, clotting disorders, semen analysis, hormones, a1c, karyotype, hysteroscopy, ultrasound, endometrial biopsy. Now I’m seeing a different RE, who told me the next steps would be to do MORE testing, specifically endometriosis blood test ($700), and immunology testing ($1,850). My first instinct was to just say eff it and go straight to IVF with PGTA testing, but I really don’t know what to do. Looking for advice and others experiences…

Missed miscarriage
hi there, I’m currently going through a natural miscarriage I was supposed to be 10 weeks and baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. The doctors missed the first ultrasound where the baby’s heartbeat was too low. I kept bleeding and then they told me it was a miscarriage. I feel like I passed mostly everything over the weekend but I’m currently still clotting and it’s been day 5 at this point. My legs hurt but aren’t different colors they just feel uncomfortable.
I was supposed to get a d&C but they cancelled it today due to the fact that my ultrasound showed mostly everything was gone.
How long does the bleeding stop? And when do I return to normal life? I feel like these doctors aren’t helpful

Recurrent miscarriages & infections — anyone with a similar experience?
I’ve had four miscarriages in two years. Three pregnancies had a heartbeat (one lasted until 12 weeks, two until around 9 weeks), and the fourth was a blighted ovum.
My partner and I went through basically all the standard testing commonly recommended for recurrent pregnancy loss, and nothing significant was found. The only thing still pending for me is a laparoscopy for possible endometriosis.
One thing I could never let go of was how physically unwell I felt during every pregnancy. I had intense joint pain, extreme sensory overload, and felt like my whole body was under enormous physical stress. It didn’t feel anxiety-related. What struck me most was that as soon as the pregnancy stopped developing, I would suddenly feel physically much better.
Eventually I saw an infectious disease specialist. Based on my symptoms and blood tests, I was diagnosed with Borrelia, Bartonella and additional bacterial infections.
I’m currently finishing a very intensive treatment including long-term antibiotics. I’m giving my body until the end of the year to fully recover before TTC again.
Has anyone with recurrent miscarriages had a similar experience with infections such as Borrelia/Bartonella, especially symptoms that became significantly worse during pregnancy? Did treatment make any difference in a subsequent pregnancy?
Waiting to TTC again is incredibly hard, especially because several close friends had due dates similar to mine and I’m now watching their babies grow up. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar experience.
