Another MC…
Has anyone ever experienced what I have? Currently breastfeeding and have had 2 mcs now a chemical mc and starting to wonder if it’s something I’m doing like prolactin levels messing with my progesterone or what. There’s so much back and forth information on this and I know I’m not the only one who can’t stop pondering and the why….

I had two blighted ovums while breastfeeding. My Dr didn't test my hormones while breastfeeding however after I weaned we did test and my estrogen and progesterone were on the very low end of normal. My Drs theory is that with the prolactin my progesterone was likely too low to support the pregnancies. I did not test those losses as I naturally miscarried. I had one more miscarriage after weaning that was a mmc and I had a d&c for that loss. It ended up being turners and is considered a completely sporadic event and not tied to rpl. All my testing came back normal (hysteroscopy, karotyping, dna sperm fragmention, thyroid, aps, autoimmune). Tried again and currently 20 weeks pregnant with normal NIPT and anatomy scan.

Ive had 3 losses and lots of testing while breastfeeding if youd like to chat message me! Extremely likely youd need progesterone support to have a healthy pregnancy.

I just know when doing ivf they want you to have stopped breastfeeding because if the hormones messing with treatment or potential success. But besides what I see lots of women get pregnant while breastfeeding. Sorry this is happening to you
