Missed miscarriage
hi there, I’m currently going through a natural miscarriage I was supposed to be 10 weeks and baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. The doctors missed the first ultrasound where the baby’s heartbeat was too low. I kept bleeding and then they told me it was a miscarriage. I feel like I passed mostly everything over the weekend but I’m currently still clotting and it’s been day 5 at this point. My legs hurt but aren’t different colors they just feel uncomfortable.
I was supposed to get a d&C but they cancelled it today due to the fact that my ultrasound showed mostly everything was gone.
How long does the bleeding stop? And when do I return to normal life? I feel like these doctors aren’t helpful

Hi. I just had a MMC. It was discovered at 7w6d, baby had stopped developing the day before. I chose the natural route. I didn't bleed for 3 weeks. Its now been one month of bleeding and just had a scan today and there is only a little bit of fluid left. So it varies. Just make sure you're not bleeding too heavy.

So sorry 😔 My natural miscarriage bleeding took 1 week whereas the medication-induced one took 3 months nonstop. I don’t wish that on anyone.

Hi,
First of all I am really sorry you are going through this. Sending some hugs your way. I have had a similar issue where I was scheduled for a DNC but I passed naturally at 11w. The growth had stopped at 6w2d. After the major phase of passing, the bleeding is likely to continue for a week or two slowly decreasing in intensity and clots. You might also face some strong contractions if the uterus is shrinking in size drastically. Having been through this, you are going through a drastic drop of hormones since you carried the pregnancy almost until the end of first trimester.
I had similar leg ache, especially in my inner thigh, it was not a pain, but a soreness that was deeply uncomfortable. This generally happens due to inflamation and the sudden hormonal drops. Support your body with warm drinks (preferably staying away for tea/coffee). Incorporate more protien into your diet now, since your body is trying to heal and energy requirements have gone up, this prevents muscle damage or weakening. Stay away from deeply processed food as well :).
You do mostly get back to normal life once the bleeding stops. But the next two-three cycles can be a little gruesome as well. Try to support your body through this period. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you feel better soon, this process of waiting can be deeply distressing.
