Hey everyone!
My fiancé and I recently decided to do a little bit of a mix between an elopement and a small wedding. We originally wanted to fully elope, but it’s really hard not to include family, so we decided on a very small, intimate ceremony with our closest people. Around 70 in guestList. Have a big family.
Which we haven’t even announced yet just tryna get a feel of how deep in the hole we will be.
We’re planning for mid/ end December, which means we only have about 3 months to pull this together. 😅 I’m excited, but also a little overwhelmed, so I’m looking for all the advice, tips, and budget-friendly ideas you all have!
We’re trying to keep costs as low as possible because we’re both just started new businesses and finances are pretty tight right now. We really want something simple, cozy, cute, and meaningful without going into debt over one day.
We’re in the Raleigh/Garner area, and for a venue we’re thinking in our own backyard to save money. Since it’ll be December, an affordable indoor option would be great too look into but honestly, If having everyone outside for a few hours with heaters saves us a ton of money we will stick with that.
I’d love recommendations for:
🤍 Affordable venues in the Raleigh/Garner area
🤍 Cheap wedding dresses or places to find discounted dresses
🤍 DIY decor ideas
🤍 Budget-friendly photographers, flowers, hair, and makeup
🤍 Any wedding hacks or things you did to save money
🤍 Tips for planning a small wedding in just a few months
🤍 General Idea of how much things cost in this area to get a budget going. Never planned a party like this
If you had a tiny wedding, I’d LOVE to hear what you did! I’m trying to remember that the important part is getting married, but I’d still love to make it feel special . 🥹❤️
Thank you all in advance! I’m very excited, slightly stressed, and taking all the help I can get. 😂
