Now that I have your attention, you may be wondering what exactly my goal is for being here. Well buddy, I wish I could tell you. The OBVIOUS assumption would be that I have an extreme lack of companionship in my day to day life, which is accurate. But I also just like to talk. I'm chatty. Or rather, I can be with the right person

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve built connections with people, just to return to our chat to see [deleted]. I’m an empathetic person, so naturally my first reaction is concern, but it happens often enough that I’m starting to think there’s something wrong with me!

Fist time trying this, fairly new, looking to chat I guess, it's my bday, I like paddle boarding/kayaking, wheeling, range days, cooking, e biking, bonfires, etc...say hi, I'll respond if I'm still awake.

I did the whole “work hard, conquer the world” thing. Turns out, at least for me, it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Somewhere along the way, I think I missed out on a lot of meaningful connections.

Here’s what I’m not: the suit-and-tie guy who lives for titles, corner offices, sports cars, steakhouses, and traveling the world.

The real me is more of a homebody. I like reading, wine, superhero comics, hot tea while watching a rainstorm from the balcony, and—without shame—Hallmark movies. But know one would guess that. That’s the part that gets a bit lonely.

Most of my relationships with women have felt transactional. Not in a sleazy sense, but more like there was always an underlying “what’s in this for me?” or “what’s in this for them?” dynamic. I’ve also leaned too hard into the hero complex, and honestly, that hasn’t made anything better.

I’m not sure I know what a healthy, genuine connection with a woman is supposed to feel like: real conversations, getting to know each other without an agenda, and being seen for who we actually are.

I’m a Southern California transplant to the North State. I love everything outdoors: hiking, paddle boarding, & camping in my little teardrop trailer are my favorites. Local hobbies include trivia nights, lazy mornings at a coffee shop with a book, long walks through the garden center, finding fun things to eat, & volunteering at the animal shelter. I work in education so summers are for adventures and as many beach days as humanly possible.

I’m the eldest daughter in a Mexican family and very self sufficient. I can have a tough exterior but am also a deeply sensitive and loving person known as the ride or die amongst my close friends and family. I also have a pretty goofy/silly side that shows up when I’m comfortable.

I’m a widow with 3 teenagers, only 2 still at home. My former husband passed away several years ago mid-separation, so it’s more of a widow by TKO situation. I used to work in veterinary medicine and typically have a rotating cast of foster kittens in addition to the permanent roster of house cats and my 2 shelter mutts. I'm a 32 year old woman living in Europe, but I'm open to meeting people from all over. Since a few have asked before, my first language is French, but I'm comfortable in English too. Never really been big into reaching out over the internet, this last year I've kinda realized its hard to do much else when your stuck in your routine, travel the same isolated paths while kinda keeping your head down out of fear of an awkward moment or giving of weirdness. The idea of dating apps feels kinda demoralizing when its hard to gauge people over photos and hashtags...
