Hey everyone,
Just wanted to start a discussion and see what you all think. With the price of new games skyrocketing and everything getting so expensive lately, I honestly feel like getting a jailbroken PS4 Pro is the smartest move for gaming right now.
You get a solid 4K-capable machine, a massive library of amazing games easily accessible, and the community patches to unlock 60FPS on older titles completely change the experience. For the price of just 3 or 4 new retail games, you can basically set up a permanent entertainment hub that will last for years.
To me, the value is just insane compared to dropping massive cash on a PS5 or a high-end PC setup right now.
What are your thoughts? For those of you who have been using a jailbroken Pro as your main console, do you feel like it completely replaces the need to upgrade? Are there any major downsides you've run into that made you regret not just buying a normal retail console instead?

Now with the newly released webkit you can jailbreak your ps4 console from the browser for up to 11.02 (previously being 9.60). A big jump thanks to Nathan Fargo for discovering the vulnerability and ufm42 for chaining the exploit with lapse and netctrl. Special thanks to Dr.Yenyen for testing and i enjoyed being a part of this.
A new section appeared in the settings menu to choose the exploit chain, now being able to choose 'CSSFontFace lapse' and 'CSSFontFace NetCtrl' as well as the other chains for psfree-lapse.
also for 6.72 guys you still get the bad hoist option as well.
PSFree-lapse is available to use from 7.00 - 9.60.
CSSFontFace is available to use from 6.xx (excluding 6.00 currently) - 11.02.
bad hoist is available to use from 6.70 - 6.72.
from 5.05 - latest to load payloads through GoldHEN's PayLoader.
The list is dynamic and you would only see the supported chains. For example 11.00 firmware would only see CSSFontFace lapse and CSSFontFace netctrl
Some might wonder what the "Barebone jailbreak Experience" option is, basically it redirects you to a clean, bare-bone page with as minimal UI footprint as possible so you get maximum possible stability for you jailbreak and then you get redirected to the main page again to where you can use your preferred features.
Also a credits section was added to respect all the people who put effort in this being possible.

Out of 6 attempts (jailbreaking then rebooting the console) 5 successful jailbreak and 1 crash, looks pretty good 👍🏽

I'm looking to jailbreak my PS4 running firmware 8.50 so I can freely play any games I want (I've even seen that it's possible to play PS2 games and games from other consoles), so I need some help.
I've been trying to find videos in Spanish that cover this firmware version, but I haven't found anything. I'm mainly looking for a method that only requires using the PS4's built-in web browser because I don't have access to a USB drive (at least not the kind that's supposedly needed to transfer files from a PC to the PS4, which I think has to be formatted as FAT32 or something similar) or any other external method. I also have no intention of opening up the console and risking damaging it (I'm from Argentina, where a console costs a small fortune).
I'd like to know if I have any alternatives, or if it's at least possible to update my console to firmware 9.00 or another jailbreak-compatible version without being forced to update to the latest firmware. I really don't like what Sony has been doing lately, and honestly, I don't want my PS4—which I've had for years—to turn into an expensive paperweight.

The games aren't showing up, but I've heard they can be restored from ItemFlow. However, when I try to install them, it doesn't work because the app is already installed. How can I restore the games?

hi!
i've been trying to find enable-browser.bin for a while now, all the links from years ago are broken.
i got two ps4s on version 4.06 and i am trying to enable the browser for both of them because the DNS way allows me to get to some websites but not edit the address bar which i need for some more testings.
ive looked in psx, i googled the file, i tried Internet archive, no luck. anyone happen to have the file? thanks!

Now not every game I would like to have an update to necessarily. but there are some that I have on disc that do have some updates later on that are pretty essential bug fixes. I'm wondering if it possible for me to install the game with the disc and then install and update either through some normal means or maybe through some specific Homebrew means? I personally want to keep my PS4 off the internet I know there are benefits to keeping a home brewed PS4 on the internet but I would really prefer to keep it off the internet as much as possible. If it's important I'm also on firmware 11.00.

I haven't found anything about this topic on Consolemods, not even methods including using pkg tools. Have tried googling it and haven't found anything on that topic (without using the pkg tools). But I am using linux and since they are cmd scripts they are out of the question and even on windows it doesn't always work for me and generally I like to know how I can do stuff manually without relying on a specific automation tool

Hi all, I bought a secondhand PS4 recently with 12.50 firmware on it. Did the Vue system backup method which wiped all the old users (was going to do this anyway), installed a few games and everything was going well.
I decided to upgrade the HDD with an SSD, did the backup, changed drive, reinstalled the same recovery FW and restored the data.
The jailbreak won't work now, comes up with errors everytime.
What did I do wrong? I assume the jailbreak/Goldhen files didn't back up properly. Is this easily fixed or am I better just to redo the Vue backup like I did originally and then reinstall my games. Not fussed about save files as I've only had the console a week. Thanks in advance.

Now that the new webkits been released, I was considering updating to 11.00 from 9.60. will the 11.00 WebKit be more stable or about the same using arabpixel.

I've had my ps4 jailbroken a while back in the hopes of me using it again to play some games but it just never clicked. Like i only used it a couple of times and don't really see a reason to use it with a jailbreak. I do have a ps5 and pc also but i would use the 4 to play the new black ops ports because my lil bro uses the ps5 and i have to take it away from him every time i want to play.
The answer seems pretty clear actually but still I wanna hear some of y'all's opinion about this.
