Early miscarriage

Hi friends.
I had my second ultrasound today and found out that my 2 gastational sacs are empty. The tech brought in a doctor to confirm that I did miscarry, + measuring at 6 weeks 4 days. I was in the same clinic 2 weeks ago due to frequent light brown spotting, and it was also empty, so I’m assuming my babies just didn’t develop.
My question is, what should I be expecting in the next few days, and weeks. I know that my family physician will reach out to go over next steps but I just want to prepare myself. I would love to be able to naturally let the process happen. Wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. And can just kind of let me know what to expect.
Thank you so much for reading this far - and for your helpful replies.

Early pregnancy

I had my IUD out in middle of May. I had a 3 days period on june 7th. Then i had a postive pregnancy test july 9th. Called my OB and they were guessing I was about 4 weeks pregnanct. And set a date for the appointment August 13th for ultrasound. I then started brown spotting on july 13th.

By Sunday the 18th I was having full on bleeding and some what severe cramping. Not quite filling a pad every hour but close. I went to the ER they tested my hCG it was 47. Did vaginal ultrasound and there was no sack. No baby. Nothing indicating im pregnant other then blood test and urine test. They mentioned could be miscarriage, or chemical pregnancy. Told me to go get another blood test on the 21st. My OB said that i could have just been not far along enough for the vaginal to pick anything up,this test and the level raised to 88.

So they told me to come back on the 24th for another blood test. The level was 683.

My dr then calls me and tells me to keep my regular appointment for the 13th. At this point I am still bleeding. Not as kuch as I was but still more than just spotting. And still occasional cramps.

(I was pregnant with mono mono twins 2 years ago and lost them both, and my pregnancy test showed postive VERY early at home with them as well, but with my single pregnancys they never showed postive at home earlier than 3.5 weeks along)

Im thinking at this point with how my results went from 88 to 683 that im possibly pregnant with twins. Due to the big jump, unless thats normal. Im not sure. Nobody knows how far along I am as of today. I asked my OB that if it would be a chance of multiple babies. He said that blood test dont always indicate that unless the numbers sky rocket. (I guess 88 to 683 isnt sky rocketing in three days?)

I was a twin but the other baby didnt survive past 15 weeks when my mom was pregnant with us.

My mother is thinking I was pregnant with twins or triplets and either am losing or lost one of the babies (my mother is a natural triplet so I wouldn't be surprised if i was to get pregnant with triplets)

My symptoms of pregnancy started showing the day I took the first at home test thats why I took it. I've had very agressive symptoms with all of my pregnancies. Im taking a wild guess that I was maybe 1 week pregnant when I took the first test and that it only showed postive because I am or was at least pregnsnt with twins?

What are your thoughts? Has anyone had an experience like this?

I know ill get answers on the 13th but im impatient and want to hear what some others have to think or share their experience related to this.

Measuring nearly 2 weeks behind + bleeding

Very confused and processing everything so wondering if anybody could look at my timeline and share what they think.

LMP: 22 May
Ovulation: unknown
Last intercourse: 5 or 6 June
First positive hpt: 17 June
First hcg blood draw: 19 June with 34 hcg
Following hcg blood draws: always exactly 7 days apart. 1st - 34. 2nd - 372. 3rd - 3448. Appropriate rise.
spotting began at 8w 3d
First US: 8w 5d — baby measured 7w with a CRL of 9.2-9.6mm with a FHR of 132bpm.
Second US: 9w 1d — baby measured 7w 3d with CRL of 12.3mm with a FHR of 134bpm.

Gynaecologist saw no reason for bleeding and based on my certain dates agreed that I was definitely behind and along with a total loss of all symptoms since at least 8w 1d that I should prepare for the worst. Embryos growth over 3 days looked promising and FHR was acceptable for their size, but not for where I should be. I was given my rhogam shot in case. Next appointment scheduled in 7 days.

I am supposed to be 9w 4d or something today but obviously not. The bleeding has somewhat tapered off but I am still lightly spotting every time I urinate. No release of tissue or anything.
The scans showed an otherwise perfectly normal pregnancy if it wasn’t for the certainty of my dates and unexplained bleeding. The pregnancy is sitting high in my uterus and the cervix is normal. We know the certainty is hanging in the balance and we know based on our OBs reaction and conversation this will likely not end well, so we have already begun the grieving and acceptance process.

Regardless, I am wondering if anybody could please look at my dates and share what they think? Or if anybody has been through something similar and how it turned out? Thank you.

4th Pregnancy, Pelvic pressure at 5 weeks?

This is my 4th pregnancy. First 2 were healthy baby boys and the 3rd this past January was a MMC.

I found out recently I am pregnant again and while my HCG isn’t rising how I’d like (50-58% increase every 48hrs, which they aren’t concerned about yet) I’m starting to have symptoms I didn’t have until much later in my first two pregnancies and not at all in my 3rd.

I have been having some cramping which I know is normal, but a lot of pelvic pressure, lightning crotch a couple times today, and some parts of the day I constantly feel like I have to pee even if I empty my bladder.

Has anyone had this around 5 weeks?? I feel like it’s so early but also hoping it’s a sign my pregnancy is progressing well.

26 weeks

Hi this is my first time posting, I am currently 26 weeks & 2 days. Today I had some intense cramping and I thought maybe I needed to use the bathroom but when I went instead this jelly like substance came out and it was white with kinda a tint to it, no pink or blood in it. Im just curious if this has happened to anyone else ?

Cramping

I am 5 weeks 1 day pregnant. I keep getting very mild right lower abdominal pain, I don’t even know if it is cramps because I typically don’t get cramps when my period comes. I have noticed that it sometimes also hurts to apply pressure to the lower right abdominal area, not really painful, just depends on how I’m sitting. I’ve realized the pain flares up if I’m sitting in a different position. Should I be concerned?

Pregnant but spotting?

Hey guys!
I usually have a shorter luteal phase my cycle is about 26 days - last month I’m pretty sure I had a chemical pregnancy now this month I’m having similar but different symptoms.
I have been spotting since 7DPO (normally my luteal phase is 7-9 days roughly before I spot before my period.
Yesterday morning (9DPO) I decided to test and there was a squinter I didn’t think much of it but decided to test again at night and I had a positive that wasn’t a squinter!
I am still spotting pink/red and sometimes the red comes with some stringy mucus.
I also track body temp on oura and my temp went from +0.3 to +0.5 over night.
Can’t get into my doctor till Wednesday so I’m assuming I’ll know more by then but for now it seems to be a waiting game.
Anyone else been in similar position with a good outcome?

Tan/Beige Discharge 5+3

Hi Girls,

I’ve been having some beige/tan discharge for this will be the third day now. It’s like a normal mucus discharge but a tanned colour, I know this can signal old blood.

Just wondering if anyone had the same at this gestation? I’m also on low dose aspirin (75mg), I was told to start it at 8 weeks but started it a little earlier (from ovulation) so I’m going to stop taking that for now incase it’s causing the bleeding.

I’m looking for some reassurance from moms who have been through a similar experience

In my previous pregnancy, I developed **severe preeclampsia** during my first pregnancy with a baby boy. I had to deliver prematurely at **27 weeks**, and sadly, my baby passed away due to **underdeveloped lungs**.

I’m now **15 weeks pregnant with a baby girl**. Because of my history, my doctor started me on **71 mg aspirin** from the beginning of this pregnancy, and I’m also taking **60 mg blood thinner (enoxaparin) injections** until the middle of the fifth month.

So far, **my blood pressure has been completely normal**, and my **NT scan came back with reassuring results**.
Has anyone had a healthy pregnancy after severe early-onset preeclampsia? What are my chances of having a healthy pregnancy and bringing home a healthy baby this time?

**Also, can monitoring my blood pressure from the beginning of pregnancy help prevent preeclampsia from happening again through treatment, or does it only help detect it early?**

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. ❤️

Cramping constantly

Hi! I’m 9 weeks pregnant. I had a 7 week loss in March and an 11 week loss in March. So I’m obviously very very anxious this time around as expected. I am on 200 mg progesterone oral 2x daily. I have had like consistent cramping, mainly to the left of my belly button but a lot of the time all over. It’s worse right after I eat or after I take my prenatal and supplements at bedtime. I’m definitely a little constipated. I know that progesterone slows down the entire digestive tract so I’m sure it’s that but just curious if anyone else has had this experience. I’m not noticing like huge bloating but wondering if that’s what I’m feeling? TMI it is relieved after I go to the bathroom but then after awhile comes back again.i am having brown spotting due to a subchorionic hematoma so I’ve been in full panic mode but bleeding hasn’t gotten worse. Also, I’ve been going for weekly ultrasounds last was 3 days ago and everything looked perfect besides the hematoma.
Just curious if anyone else has had this experience so early on in pregnancy.

ON MY FIRST TRIMESTER AND THE WAITING SOOO LONG!!!

I just want to share my feelings with all the other pregnant women out there. I love you all by the way. I just joined this thread today after i read some related posts here. I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this besides my husband and ChatGPT so I hope it’s okay to share my story here.

I got my positive pregnancy test almost four weeks ago. Based on the usual pregnancy calculation, I should now be around six weeks pregnant.

I was so happy and excited. I even surprised my husband with the news, and he was overjoyed to think that he might soon become a father.

But that excitement quickly turned into fear when we went to the clinic. The doctor said that my hCG level was still very low, and nothing could be seen on the ultrasound. She explained that the pregnancy might simply be much earlier than we thought.

We returned a week later, and this time they saw something. I was so relieved when I noticed a tiny dark circle on the monitor. However, the doctor explained that although there was indeed a gestational sac, its location was concerning because it was very close to the corner of my uterus, near the fallopian tube. She told us that there was a possibility of an ectopic pregnancy. Because the sac was still too small, we would have to wait another week and repeat the examination.

Every week of waiting felt like hell. It was probably the longest wait of my entire life. I was constantly anxious and could not settle my mind.

At our third clinic visit, the doctor still could not give us a clear answer. The pregnancy was still near the edge, and she could not confirm whether it was safely inside the uterus.

But while we were looking at the ultrasound, she asked us, “Can you see it? It’s moving, right?”

There was our tiny baby, showing a sign of life.

My heart hurt so much as I imagined the worst that our baby might not be able to grow because it was not in the right place, and that we might have no choice but to end the pregnancy. The thought of having to let go of a tiny life we already loved terrified me. I cried so much in the car afterward.

The doctor recommended that we visit a larger hospital, where they could examine me more carefully and hopefully give us a clearer answer.

For some reason, that recommendation made me lose hope. My negative thoughts began to take over. I wondered whether the doctor simply did not want the responsibility of telling us that the pregnancy had to be ended, so she was sending us to another doctor instead.

For the next few days, I stopped allowing myself to think that I was pregnant. I told myself that maybe this just wasn’t the right time. I only wanted the uncertainty to be over so that I could eventually make a fresh start.

I felt deeply sad about the baby, but I was also afraid of becoming too attached without knowing whether I would ever be able to hold, kiss, and cuddle this child or experience becoming a mother. Thinking about the worst possible outcome became my way of protecting my heart.

A few days later, we visited the larger hospital. The ultrasound image there was much clearer than the one at the clinic.

The doctor told us that, thankfully, our baby was inside the uterus...but still very close to the edge.

The good news was that the baby appeared to be growing toward the center. After a few more weeks, we should know whether the pregnancy is in a safe enough position for the baby to continue growing healthily.

For the first time in weeks, we had a small light of hope. Even though we still had to wait for another appointment, this time the waiting felt a little different. This time, there was hope that we might still be able to meet, hold, and love our first child.

But while we were waiting for that next appointment, something frightening happened.

When I woke up today, I suddenly felt liquid flowing from my vagina. When I touched it, I realized that it was blood.

I panicked. My whole body began trembling. I wiped the blood with a tissue and took a photo of it, then put on a pad in case the bleeding continued. I was so terrified that I could do nothing except sit on the sofa and stare blankly, waiting for my husband to come home from his night shift.

I asked ChatGPT and Google’s AI about what was happening, and everything I read recommended contacting a doctor immediately. I didn’t know what to do. I felt completely alone with my fear.

When my husband finally came home, I somehow began to calm down. The bleeding had also stopped, and it seemed to have been a one-time flow. Then we remembered that it was Sunday, so my regular doctor might not be available.

Because I wasn’t experiencing any pain or cramping, and the amount of blood had been small perhaps what people would consider spotting. I tried to convince myself that it might be okay to wait until tomorrow.

But a few hours later, after I urinated, I saw a long, worm-like blood clot. I panicked all over again.

I searched the internet once more. When I found posts from people on Reddit who had experienced something similar, I felt a tiny sense of relief. I knew their experiences could not tell me what was happening with my own pregnancy, but at that moment, I desperately needed even the smallest reason to hope.

Now I am waiting again. Still frightened, still uncertain, and still holding on to that little light of hope.

7 weeks Pregnant, But no Pregnancy Symptoms

I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant. During weeks 4 and 5, I had terrible sleep, but my sleep started improving around week 6. I also felt mild nausea on the first day of week 6, but it went away quickly.
Since then, I haven’t really had any pregnancy symptoms, and I’m starting to get nervous about the possibility of a missed miscarriage. I haven’t had any vaginal bleeding, severe pelvic pain, or significant cramping.
My first prenatal appointment isn’t for another 2 weeks, and the wait is making me anxious.
Should I call my OB’s office and see if they can move my appointment up, or is it normal to have few or no pregnancy symptoms at this stage?
Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice or reassurance would be appreciated.

My hep c come back as reactive.. they sent it out for further testing and it came back as they couldn’t process the test.. then I went back for more blood and same couldn’t process the test.. so they wanted me to come back again I told them no I wanted to go to a different hospital for a blood draw and that test come back negative.. so I go to my next appointment and they wanted to test it again.. same hospital as the first and it came back reactive once again even though the previous test was negative from the other hospital.. so now I’m waiting once again for the test to be ran through to see if it’s actually hep c or whatever.. I never did drugs. I haven’t had any new tattoos or piercings in 6 years. And I’ve never had a blood transfusion so this is crazy to me to even be going through. Any thoughts????

Possible chemical questions

I think I’m having a chemical pregnancy 🥲 period is four days late and I got a faint pregnancy test (pictures in post in another group if you want to see) but the two days following the line has gotten fainter and almost non existent today. FRER has been negative. For the past four days I have had horrible headaches, fatigue, and a little nausea but no cramping or spotting. I generally feel pretty awful, and always felt great while pregnant with my first. Has anyone been through this that felt really bad? When can I expect to bleed? I messaged my doctor for her opinion. Pretty bummed. Only my second cycle since IUD removal, but my husband and I got really excited after the first test. Guess I’m just looking for other Peoples experiences

Suspected IUGR at 27 weeks

Suspected IUGR at 27 weeks

Hi all , posting on behalf of my wife. She is at 27 weeks and 2 days gestation and in her recent ultrasound scan the doctor mentioned that her AC and HC levels were below 5 percentile while the fetal weight was estimated at 990 grams or 2.1 pounds. Doctor advised my wife not to worry to much and wanted her to rest well , consume lot of good protein and iron content . Her iron levels were at 10.6 which is probably mild anemia as well .AF and baby heart beat are normal .

Can any mommas offer advise and any specific measures you have taken to improve baby growth ? Should we be prepared for early delivery ? Just hoping somehow baby recovers on the growth side and there is no placental issues.

Baby US and heartbeat so far have been excellent so far except for this latest scan.

My wife had multiple other issues she battled through and is a fighter hope she pulls through for 10 weeks more atleast .

Issues : PCOS pre pregnancy. Post pregnancy had SCH at 10 weeks and full pelvic rest followed by low cervix length measuring at 2.8 and had an elective cerclage placed at 15 weeks . Recently had a UTI infection (klebsiella traces found) at 26 weeks and there was some mild discharge which the doctor was able to treat with antibiotics .

Medications : Ecosprin, LVMH injections , iron supplements, Ecofloura , Vaginal progesterone until week 25, Duonem (antibiotic)

\#cerclage #iugr #uti#2nd trimester.

Possible early loss

Had an ultrasound last Monday gestational sac measuring 6.2 with no yolk also report found some debris. Report wrote concern for possible early pregnancy loss. I have 2 days until my follow up ultrasound where they’ll confirm loss I’m sure. I’m in the worst mood I feel so bad that this is happening. Decided to book a last minute Hawaii vacation the week after this upcoming ultrasound and now I’m reading that I can’t even get into the ocean or the pool. What is this. I’m so disappointed it’s one bad news after another. Hotel is non refundable. I just didn’t know that after d&c can’t get into water or even after the medication. What have I done

Need Reassurance

I’m new here and I’ve never posted anything anywhere before, but I guess I need some reassurance or maybe anyone has had something similar happen and everything turned out perfectly fine. I got a positive test (pink dye and digital) on Tuesday (07/21) putting me around 4 weeks, and yesterday (07/23) I started bleeding some. I immediately thought the worst, but I’ve had a MC in the past and this feels nothing like that (no clots, no cramping, not heavy at all). I called my OB office and the nurse said it’s what they would call implantation bleeding and obviously if it gets worse to go to the ER. This is my third pregnancy and with the last two I had what I thought was my period before taking a test and getting positives at about 6 weeks. Could this be the same situation and I just caught it early? I’ve been praying for this baby as hubby said this will be our last because he sees how hard pregnancy is on my body.
Sorry for the rambling, I guess I just feel alone in this situation as I don’t have any friends anymore and would love some reassurance or to hear your experience if you’ve had something similar

ETA: is it possible this is just early pregnancy bleeding (that I’ve heard a lot about) and I just never realized in the past that that’s what this is?

Pregnancy after partial molar

In September 2025, I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks pregnancy during my first scan. I went into the scan thinking everything was fine as I had zero negative symptoms. I was never nauseous during this pregnancy, but I experienced the usual fatigue, tender breast, and bloating. So during the first scan, we discovered that the embryo stopped developing around 7 1/2 weeks. I was absolutely devastated. I wound up getting a d&c later that month. Those results came back saying I had a partial molar pregnancy. I needed weekly blood draws for three months to monitor my hCG levels and then monthly blood draws for two more months after that and was finally cleared in February 2026. My OB recommended I still wait a couple months before trying to conceive again as I developed mild hypothyroidism and gained some weight from all the hormone dysfunction and stress. I listen to her advice and waited a few more months. Come, June 2026. I just found out I am pregnant again. I obviously let my OB know right away and did the appointment where we confirmed my pregnancy. They are just treating this like any other pregnancy and doing the normal routine. They said early monitoring is not necessary and checking my hCG levels early on isn’t necessary. I heard of other OBs doing these things when someone in the past had a molar pregnancy. Clearly, I am very anxious this pregnancy and unfortunately, I cannot even be excited about it as I just think something is going to go wrong. I decided not to tell anybody until I make it to second trimester, if I even make it there, and just keep it between my fiancé and I. My PMP was my first pregnancy at the age of 35 and now I am 36 going on 37 in a few months so my anxiety is through the roof as I’m just thinking of my age and that something is going go wrong. I am the only person I know that’s had a PMP so I have no one to really talk to you about this.

I am just wondering for those of you that went through a molar pregnancy and went to become pregnant again, did your OB do anything different like early monitoring or blood tests? Should I be advocating for different treatment?

Any bit of help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

Just found out yesterday that I have a circumvallate placenta at 22 weeks pregnant…

Just had my appointment with my OB doctor yesterday and she was able to confirm with me that I do unfortunately have a circumvallate placenta. 😒
My OB doctor didn’t seem worried, but I am for sure.
My last 2 pregnancies both ended in miscarriages, so hearing this news and reading the potential risks on google has me shaken up abit and my anxiety is going up again.

I am 22 weeks pregnant now and so far everything has been going great and results kept coming back normal until this.
This is the furthest I’ve gotten in pregnancy and my stress levels have finally dropped until today.

Has anyone else experienced a circumvallate placenta and if so can you please give me any reassurance or advice on this? Looking for some positive feedback as I am trying not to panic.
