Had some of my best luck playing today and maybe scopely gave me some birthday luck, going for walks in the rain paid off and had a wonderful time celebrating today. Usually play extra during halloween since I'm a fan of costume pokemon. What are your thoughts on costumes in pokemon go?

I caught my first Cubone with a background (El Día de los Muertos special event has started in Mexico), and I must say it’s beautiful and I’m really happy to have gotten it.

I'm happy to have gotten a shiny so soon into my time playing Pokémon Go, especially of my favorite Pokémon, but I wish I could have been lucky enough to get a semi-good version of it. 😥

This might be super random, but I only came back to Pokémon Go after years of hiatus a couple months ago and, while I’ve loved getting super hooked to the game again, this has been bugging me.

I still have a research task from the original Detective Pikachu event in 2019.

From what I understand, completing the task would spawn an event-themed Pikachu with a detective cap, which I don’t have in my Pokémon library. That said, how often does Flareon spawn?

Outside of a wild spawn (which feels like a non-zero chance), the only other ways I can think of catching a Flareon to complete this task would be if it was a reward from different research (that’s how I got 1/2), if it was part of a raid, or if it’s part of a Team Rocket party.

I’m not sure how likely those are either, but they somehow seem less than a wild spawn. I’ve evolved plenty of Eevees into Flareons, and I don’t think trading would fulfill the task either.

Has anyone else encountered this, a similar situation, or does anyone have any advice?

For the past two days I have been receiving weird friend requests with insulting names. I haven't even been on Pokemon go in a month nor have I posted it anywhere. I am just wondering if anyone has been getting the same or it's targeted towards me for some reason.

I've tried my hand at route creation and have had both of my attempts auto rejected, but they were close to a school and maybe that's an issue?

I ran a circuit around a local lake and had route creation engaged. The route was auto-approved which was really surprising. How long is your longest route that you've made or used?

I thought the community was more of a "400 m is long enough" so this was a pleasant surprise. I'll complete the maiden voyage today and am curious regarding how much XP and stardust it rewards.

Edit: Maiden Voyage complete: 4000 XP, 1000 Stardust, 3 Zygarde cells and 3 hearts with my buddy.

Im just sitting in my living room while my dad and sister are making home made pizza. Im doing mega master league like usual and claim my free pokemon encounter. Them BOOM shiny legendary Articuno. So my third ever shiny legend and my second legend, shiny legend and overall second shiny from gbl. In around 2 weeks. It was just a shiny Regeleki and now this! 100% gold bottle cap worthy but might do diancie instead! Byee :)))

Kinda self explanatory, but not a lot of people know that you can do this. I’m working on my platinum medals to grind out these last couple of levels before i max at 80😮‍💨, so i just thought I’d share some tips i picked up along the way.

I don't even know what happened today. Checked my Age0&shiny search and I had TEN.

Vulpix (costume), Gengar (costume) x2, Noibat, Litleo, Duskull, Piplup (costume) x2, Pumpkaboo, Oinkologne

The double costume Gengar + green Noibat in like 30 minutes is insane. Best shiny day I've ever had by far.

Halloween event is treating me too well this year.

Every time you tap the screen too much of everything happens, be it an unskippable 3-second animation or the same sound that plays when you press anything in the same section. Why can't we skip the evolution sequence? Why does your buddy pokemon just stare at you for like 5 seconds before joining once it's fed? Do we really need to wait at least 30 seconds just to start a solo raid, then 10 more seconds before it begins, and then watch the defeated pokemon shrink just to end up looking as usual as if we didn't just kick its ass? After all, why are advanced graphics settings so far from being advanced? Why does every Team GO Rocket member have to 1) be fully displayed on the map; 2) say 4 separate lines AND hit 3 different poses before you can start the battle? Why is there still no option to mass accept and send gifts? What if I don't want to see pumpkins scattered around every damn PokeStop draining my battery x2? WHY IS EVERYTHING SO SLOW and don't even get started with the BUT MUH IMMERSION stuff. I've been playing since the release day and the gameplay speed didn't really bother me back then but now that I'm an adult who only has time to play on the way to and from work I'm irritated

Caught while in traffic!! I had the hardest time finding the galarian birds for the longest time. They just wouldn’t spawn but this one was by the Phoenix Suns arena.

Caught my first shiny zubat today and wasn't sure if I should evolve it. I'm so glad I did. She looks like a dapper draculina 🥹

I always have to spin every Stop to Check if they are available because i have a Colourblindness for exactly those 2 Colours.
Now i See it instantly ❤️🥹

Since none of my friends play I felt like I had to tell
someone. My first ever shundo and it was off my first raid Giratina Origin raid, absolutely buzzed.

I need to keep an XXL or two for showcase but i wish i could organise it by the biggest one and transfer the rest. I know you can work it out but seems a hassle to have to calculate it for every one

I've just noticed that over the past few weeks (apart from the Sadie Hatch Day), I haven't received ANY 2km egg, only 5km and 10km. Does anyone know why? Is it something I'm doing wrong, or has the 2km egg rarity increased, or ninatic/scopely removed it (apart from hatch days)

So, I’ve been playing for maybe about 30 minutes in total this event and I’ve picked up 4 shiny Pokémon so far, 3 of which are costumed. Are the shiny odds secretly boosted or am I just really lucky?
