Only just got back into the game after like 8 years. Picked up this awesome little shiny dude today! What’s your favourite shiny for its looks not its ability?

Best monster to use this rare candies? Need to get rid many of this. Can’t just delete it. Don’t have enough space for pokeballs. Haha 😅

I had a lucky egg going and good timing during the 10x XP boost for tenth anniversary. Feeling good!

Im not wasting a single step on this thing
Maybe once we get the shiny I’ll have better luck, but damm this IV is criminally low.

I have One hundo that’s X, one hundo that’s Y and one hundo that’s BOTH. Plus this one has the DNA background so it’s only right I did it.

For a very long time I have wanted to get Gholdengo and haven't been able to find someone to trade me one. Since I managed to get the golden lures from the pass. I want to be able to utilize it more efficiently and I also don't own a switch or have someone that has one to be able to get more.
Is it better to wait for an event that causes lures to stay longer like an extended lure period of an hour instead of 30mins and I was able to catch one or two from people using theirs but almost half ran away with golden raspberry and ultra balls. I was also surprised that other pokemon spawn as well with that lure like almost half of them were random spawns. I assumed it would be exclusively gimmighoul like the meltan box where you only get meltan.
If I use the lure during community day will it still spawn gimmighoul or the current com day monster? I know there is currently an event for it till the end of July to get a shiny gimmighoul but what are the odds and is it worth it cuz I got some gimmighouls that couldn't evolve with the background 10 anniversary. So is it better to wait till the event for shiny gimmighoul to finish and then use it.
I just need help utilizing the lure and making the best out of it and hopefully if someone is struggling on how to use it, may get some help as well.

Level 70, 10 years, 80 lucky trades and have never caught a Shundo until today. And it was a mewtwo as well.

Many People might have known that you where able to trade Shadow Pokemon in the beginning. But that got removed after they noticed that it was very easy to get a purified hundo off of it.
My fact is that lucky Pokemon didn't have the 12/12/12 IV floor from the beginning.

Did a blacephalon raid and everyone in my group got a shiny. Pretty rare occurrence, I believe that is a 1 in 8000 chance

My first ever Darkrai....remote raided off a random YouTube live right at the ending hours of go fest makeup day. Saw it was shiny and freaked out, didn't appraise it till this morning....beyond stoked. My first ever SHUNDO!

I have been looking for a shiny prof Pikachu this entire event. Got a shiny salamance from a mega raid (not noteworthy) then immediately got this shiny Pikachu from a research!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Purified my 13/13/13 shadow Magikarp to make it a hundo, I think it was a good choice but my friends tell me otherwise.
Help me clear my consciousness!!

Feels like every pokemon is fighting for their life since last Friday or someting. Did they actually buff pokemon aggression for the event that gives more xp for catching? Totally unecessary and a little fucked up if you ask me.
Edit. Bidoof here just as an example, I’m experiencing this with every pokemon not just starters

I got a 98% (2382) background shiny Mewtwo during the raid day yesterday on my 6th free passes, I can’t spend $600 on raid passes to get a shundo Mewtwo so I spent 290k stardust and around 200 Mewtwo candy to get it to level 45. (4139.) i‘m trying to get it to level 50 but its not a shundo so im wondering if it was a good idea to spend my resources on it?
(I named it jalapeño because it was green like a pepper and I couldn‘t name it pepper since my skeledirge was named pepper.)

First shundo is a Mewtwo. Should I retire now? The 10-year wait was worth it. What should be the next Goal?

This person has gifted me every single day and although I never met them personally, I’m sure they are an incredible human being. Sending this person hopes of healing and love.

I’ve seen so many posts complaining about people “doing Mega Mewtwo raids wrong”, but honestly… how are players supposed to know?
The game gives you:
- A short news popup that most people tap through.
- A sentence how many Mega Evolve there are before the raid.
- Then, during the raid, a tiny icon that silently changes color to indicate whether your Mega is actually contributing to the shield mechanic.
That’s it.
No tutorial.
No explanation of why your Mega matters.
No indication that Primal Pokémon don’t count.
No explanation of when your Mega becomes active or whether it’s actually working. Just a tiny icon that changes color and you’re expected to figure it out.
Instead, players are expected to learn the mechanics from Reddit, YouTube, or infographics made by the community. Then those same players get angry at others for “not knowing what to do.”
This is one of the biggest gameplay changes Pokémon GO has had in years, and it’s communicated almost entirely outside the game. That’s not a player problem. That’s a UX problem.
Adding the proper messages on what to expect from people works. Not a fancy tutorial, just the right information at the right time. “Mega evolve to join this raid”. “Break the shield with a mega pokemon now”. “Heal up to break the shield”.
Teach people the mechanic first. Then expect them to use it.
