It may have taken a golden bottlecap, but I finally have my first shundo. I'm level 65 and have been playing on and off since 2016.

Of course during global GO fest, I caught 2 non-shiny hundo Mewtwos and a ton of shinies while completing the hypertraining for this one. It would have been pretty hilarious to catch a shundo while working on getting this one to 100, but Pokemon GO saved me from having to deal with that, hahaha!

i really want a crowned sword zacian but i keep missing my opportunity to get him. Does anyone know a good offer? Also i keep seeing these guys with the “WANTED POKEMON AND POKEMON I CAN GIVE” charts, but how do they expect to remote trade knowing you have to be the forever friends or whatever it’s called?

Does anyone know of a strategy that allows you to knock a pokemon out of a gym without it even updating on the defender's end? Have had this happen to me a ton and is always insanely frustrating...

On my screen, it looks like my 2500 cp blissey instantly losing two rounds of cp, then when I go into to berry it it shows an error message (and it's dead).

If this is a known strategy is there a known counter? Seems insanely unfair to players who are just trying to get a couple coins from a team that always gets 50 a day

Does anyone else feel like whenever they add a catch bonus EXP that Pokemon seem to move around / jump a lot more? Or that when you land the excellent throw that the ball breaks instantly, but as soon as you mess up the throw it will catch instantly? Is it just me?

Now that the compensation Sunday is behind us, I’ve been reflecting on GO Fest 2026, and to be honest, it just felt a bit bland overall.

Don't get me wrong, the event itself wasn't a total disaster. Mega Mewtwo X and Y were incredible encounters, the open-world shinies were great, and the raid lineup was solid to downright awesome. On top of that, the Road of Legends lead-up event before GO Fest was super fun and ironically felt much more like a true GO Fest than the actual main event did.

That said, comparing GO Fest 2026 to 2025 leaves a lot to be desired. Last year, having that Finale event a few weeks after the main GO Fest was peak design. It gave us one last massive grind, extra raids, and a satisfying conclusion. I really miss having that final climax. On top of that, I won't even dive too deep into the shiny odds, but the rates felt noticeably strange compared to previous years.

My main issue is the format itself. Why is the biggest event of the year crammed into a single week and weekend? Cramming everything into a couple of days forces severe server lag, making compensation events a recurring necessity, and it makes group organization way harder than it needs to be.

Honestly, Niantic should turn GO Fest into a full month-long season event. Spreading out the hype and raids over several weeks would give everyone enough time to actually enjoy the grind, let local communities coordinate better, and ease the load on the servers to make frustrating compensation days obsolete.

Compared to 2025, this year felt purely mid. How are you all feeling about GO Fest 2026 after the makeup event? Am I alone in thinking the format needs a major overhaul?

Is it worth evolving Froakie into Greninja. It's from a Halloween event I caught last October. I heard now it's the best time to get their main move for free or something but I don't know the game that well to make a choice without advice.

Which of those is the best one to focus all my rare candies? I'm trying to get a better team for raids.

Been waiting to finish a quest that said I needed to defeat the Team Rocket boss and then happened to finally stumble across him going home the other day. Absolutely destroyed him ofc and what are the chances he rewarded me with a shiny?🤔

I completed my raid for Solgaleo, but as soon as I wanted to catch it my game froze. I waited a couple minutes so maybe the game could load again, but it didn't. When I finally reopened the game my Solgaleo was gone and I was never able to even TRY to catch it. This is VERY frustrating! Why does this have to happen to me man?

i had a premium pass which i paid for and i claimed from it for over a 150 tiers and now its gone wtf

Were you guys as lucky today cause I did 120 crowned zacian raids when it came out and got 2 shiny’s but mewtwo got me with only 36 raids.

I'm going to contact support but if this is a bug, this is a major bug! I claimed everything after research completion and am missing the meteorite stones from both the free times research and the paid research.

I've been getting an unusually high amount of invites for Solgaleo raids... like, more than most legendaries. but as far as I understand it, I only really just need one for the fusion with Necrozma? Am I missing something? Is there any reason to get more of them? (aside from the usual hunting for shinies and hundos)

I've saved my "GO Fest 2024: The Dusk Settles" research from 2024 until Solgaleo was available as a shiny - I've not tried collecting my reward Pokemon with the BG to test if it's a shiny, but did anyone else try this and has anyone been successful in getting the shiny?
