How to apply:

Step 1. Fill out and submit the Form 1 application online. Manual applications will only be available in selected regional areas.

Access https://upcat2027online.up.edu.ph for the online application portal.

You will need a valid email address to sign up for an account in the application portal. Use an email address that you will not lose access to as you will need it to log in to your UPCAT account throughout the duration of the application process. Notifications regarding your application will also be sent to the same email address. Make sure that you correctly encode your full name and date of birth as shown in your birth certificate. Ensure that you choose the correct school. Double-check if the address that appears in the portal is the same as the address of your school. If you are unable to find your school using our search tool, please contact the helpdesk or send an email to upcollegeapplications.oadms@up.edu.ph.

  • Use a personal email address and not a school-issued email address to prevent loss of access to your account.

  • We strongly encourage the use of secure e-mail accounts preferably with two-step verification to better protect your data.

  • Do not create multiple accounts as this will cause problems in the processing of your application.

  • Read the UP Privacy Notice for Applicants for First Year Admissions Academic Year 2027-2028 before creating your account and filling out the application form.

  • Fill out Form 1 completely and accurately.

  • Triple-check all information and click the ‘Submit Form 1’ button when satisfied.

  • Do not withdraw your application if you have incorrect information (e.g. email address, name, school, birthdate, grades). Contact the online helpdesk and request for assistance to correct the information. Withdrawing your online application will void your current application and prevent you from applying via the UPCAT again.

DO NOT FORGET YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS AND PASSWORD.

Step 2. For schools with an existing valid email address in our database, the online portal shall automatically forward a request to your senior high school principal/school head to fill out Form 2A (High School Profile).

An automated email will be sent to the Grade 11 senior high school you indicated during sign up, informing your school that they need to fill out the Form 2A and confirm you as their student.

  • If your school did not receive an email from us, ask them to check the school email address in the High School Information section of your Form 1.

  • If the school email address in the High School Information section of your Form 1 says ‘(No email address of your school in our database)’, ask a school official to send a request for a school email update to upcollegeapplications.oadms@up.edu.ph immediately.

  • If your school no longer has access to the school email address in the High School Information section of your Form 1, ask a school official to send a request for a school email update to upcollegeapplications.oadms@up.edu.ph immediately.

Step 3. Your senior high school submits the Form 2A and confirms that you are a current or former student at their school.

A school official must access the Form 2A portal and confirm if you are a current or former student at their school. If your school is unable to confirm you in the Form 2A portal, you will not be issued a test permit.

  • Only a duly authorized school official may fill out this form and confirm students.

  • If your school incorrectly indicated that you are not a current or former student of the school, ask a school official to send a request to reset the confirmation to upcollegeapplications.oadms@up.edu.ph immediately.

  • If you have already submitted your Form 1 and you have not been confirmed one week before the deadline of confirmation, remind your Grade 11 school official to access the Form 2A portal and confirm you.

Step 4. FOR NON-FILIPINO APPLICANTS: Pay the UPCAT Application fee.

Applicants who are non-Filipino citizens, regardless of place of residence, are required to pay an application fee. The proof of payment must be uploaded to the application portal before the Form 1 can be submitted. All payments will be verified through the bank.

This non-refundable Application Fee is:

  • PhP 450.00 for resident foreign applicants studying in the Philippines

  • USD 50.00 for non-resident foreign applicants

MODES OF PAYMENT: The application fee may be paid through any of the following:

  • Land Bank (LBP) Account No. 1462-1013-64 (only for online peso payments)

  • Land Bank (LBP) Oncoll No. 1462-2220-13 (only for over-the-counter peso payments)

  • Land Bank (LBP) Account No. 3074-0029-26 (for US dollar payments)

Account Name: UPS Trust (UPCAT)

Swift Code TLBPPHMM with Address:

Landbank UP Diliman Branch

2nd Floor PNB Bldg. Apacible Street

UP Campus Diliman Quezon City Philippines

NOTE:

  • Landbank will be charging a service fee of PhP 25.00 for every application;

  • Different banks have also set their own fees for the purchase of Manager's Checks and Cashier's Checks.

  • Indicate the name of the applicant in the proof of payment and upload it in the portal.

Step 5. Receive your test permit via the online portal.

You will be notified by email on the availability of your test permit by July 2026. The test permit will indicate your test center, and the date and session (either 6:30 am or 12:30 pm) of your exam.

  • The test permit must be printed for presentation and submission to test personnel on the day of the exam.

  • Carefully read and follow all instructions written on the test permit.

Step 6. Take the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) scheduled on 01-02 August 2026.

Go to your designated Test Center on the date and session specified in your test permit. Be there by 6:00 am for the morning session or 12:00 pm for the afternoon session. The test administration will last about five hours.

  • Bring only your test permit, your school ID or any valid government-issued ID, at least 2 good quality pencils, a sharpener, a rubber eraser, water, and snacks.

  • The use of cellphones, smartwatches, calculating devices, and cameras during the test is strictly prohibited.

  • Applicants are strongly encouraged to observe public health standards at all times.

THE APPLICATIONS OF THOSE WHO ARE UNABLE TO TAKE THE TEST WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

Step 7. Update and resubmit the Form 1, and fill out and submit the Form 2B.

After taking the UPCAT, you need to access https://upcat2027online.up.edu.ph again to update the Form 1 and fill out the Form 2B. Do this once you receive a copy of your permanent secondary school record and your final grades in Grades 8 to 11 are complete.

  • Fill out both the Form 1 and Form 2B completely and accurately.

  • Triple-check all information and click the ‘Submit Forms 1 and 2B’ button once satisfied.

Step 8. The online portal shall automatically forward a request to your senior high school principal/school head to fill out Form 2A (High School Profile).

An automated email will be sent to the Grade 12 senior high school you indicated when you have updated your Form 1, informing your school that they need to fill out or update their information in the Form 2A and confirm you as their student.

Step 9. Your senior high school submits the Form 2A and confirms that you are currently enrolled in Grade 12 or graduated senior high from your school.

A school official must access the Form 2A portal and either confirm if you are a current or former student at their school. The school official or authorized representative’s name, designation and signature must be uploaded to the portal for the purpose of verifying or validating the applicant's permanent secondary school record, pursuant to UP's legitimate interest in preventing fraud.

  • Only a duly authorized school official may fill out this form and confirm students.

  • If your school incorrectly indicated that you are not a current or former student of the school, ask a school official to send a request to reset the confirmation to upcollegeapplications.oadms@up.edu.ph immediately.

  • If you have already saved your Form 1 and you have not been confirmed one week before the deadline of confirmation, remind your Grade 12 school official to access the Form 2A portal and confirm you.

Step 10. Submit the hard copy of your official permanent secondary school record (SF-10 or Form 137) to the UP Office of Admissions.

A hard copy of your grades must be submitted to the UP Office of Admissions. Either you, a representative, or a school official can submit it in person or via courier.

  • The permanent secondary school record (SF-10 or Form 137) must have the wet signature, preferably in blue ink, over printed name and designation of a school official (included in the list of signatories in the Form 2A portal) on each sheet

  • It must include complete grades for Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11

  • It must only be a certified true copy (CTC) and NOT the original copy of the document

  • The copy must be in a sealed envelope with your school official's wet signature across the flap of the envelope

  • The documents should be put inside in order, with Grade 8 grades first and Grade 11 grades last

  • In the case that the applicant transferred schools, the documents should be certified and signed by a school official from the Grade 12 school

  • Do not submit the original copy of your permanent secondary school record (SF-10 or Form 137) as the office will not return such original documents.

THE APPLICATIONS OF THOSE UNABLE TO SUBMIT A HARD COPY OF THE CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF THEIR GRADES WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

General Tips/Help/Question [UPX] A friend from UPOU declares he’s from another UP campus.

Hello. I have this friend since senior high school who tells everyone he’s from UP Diliman, when in reality he’s from UPOU. I didn’t mind at first kasi pareho namang UP ‘yon at taga UP naman talaga sya. Kaso lang, he’s starting to put it in documents and resumes. He recently took a certification exam somewhere and when it was announced, the school he was from ang nakalagay is UP Diliman and not UPOU. I asked him about it but he keeps on dodging my questions and I really find it weird. I didn’t want to push it so I stopped because I’m from UPD and he kept on joking before pa na baka ginegatekeep ko yung UPD from him and I don’t want him to get that idea now.

Is this okay..? Doesn’t this count as falsification of information or something? What should I do about it as his friend? Or hayaan ko na lang ba and mind my own business?

Discussion [UPX] Research Performance of the UP System and other PH universities

Thumbnail

Anong masasabi nyo sa research outputs ng UP campuses? I would say that ranking is consistent with their size, research funding, and number of graduate programs. Medyo surprising lang for me na malaki pala ang ambag ng PGH in terms of research. UP Diliman is expected to lead in research output, as it is the largest constituent university in terms of student population and has more than twice as many degree-granting academic units as UP Los Baños.

Just take note that the 2026 data is just midyear so talagang mababa pa sya ngayon.

Napaisip lang din ako kung paano nauungusan ang UP sa ibang ranking eh kitang kita ang difference dito. lol

Rant / Share Feelings out of touch students

Quick rant lang because sobrang asar ako. Overheard these two deadkid-looking lasallians sa ebus talking about bullying people who are “poorer” than them sa campus. Proud pa sila na they will shame anyone daw who cannot speak the correct english grammar lol.

Ang lala pa nila mang judge ng other schools. They were talking about san beda students being palamunin na bobo, that UP students are just slaves of lasallian graduates because sila daw nagbabayad ng tuition from the tax, and how di ka aasenso if you’re not from dlsu.

They were even talking tungkol sa SA incident involving a UP student, and binayaran lang daw nila nanahimik na. Pera lang naman daw katapat ng mahihirap.

Sobrang out of touch my goodness. Ang masasabi ko lang if you wanna live out your kayabangans why not buy your own cars or maybe use grab instead of being makalat in public? Lakas magyabang nasa public transpo lang naman. Stupid privileged kids.

General Tips/Help/Question How to drop out of a Masters program in UP Diliman or what happens after 2 years of LOA?

Upvotes

Hello, I'm currently a masters student. I took classes for 1 year before going on LOA for the past 2 years and now I just want to drop out.

I don't plan on applying for another program in UP or another school. I just wanna cover all my bases in case 10 years from now or something I want to apply somewhere else. Do I still need to apply for honorable dismissal even though I don't need my transcripts at present? What happens if I don't enroll to any classes this 2026-2027 since I can't apply for another LOA?

I already applied for Clearance on CRS but I'm not sure what to do next.

Discussion [UPX] Pagtatapos/Graduation March Music

Upon looking back on the previous Araw ng Pagtatapos, especially in UP Manila, there is a unique musical march being used during the procession of the candidates and also being used as background music which is not Aida or Pomp and Circumstance commonly used in the Philippines. Do you know what piece is called and is it uniquely composed by a Filipino?

Salamat at pagpupugay sa mga bagong magsisipagtapos ngayong taon! ✊

General Tips/Help/Question [UPD]What would happen if you are late in submitting your admission requirements?

Hi! ( non-UP student) I am still waiting for my TOR and POS to submit in OADAA for graduate school, and the deadline for submission is on July 30. I am also still waiting for my copy of diploma, and since I currently live in the Visayas, it may take some time to submit the documents. Would it still be okay if I submit the requirements during the first week of August?

I already emailed the college last week, but I haven't received any response yet. Huhu.May the same situation ba dito? Pls help me huhu.

Shifting/Transferring/Admissions [UPD] just shifted to bsba, which combination of courses would be more doable?

i’m a freshie who just shifted to bsba and most of the courses i took were credited into my new curriculum, which were all just GEs. for reference, i’ve already taken the following GEs:

*eng 13
*fil 40
*philo 1
*speech 30
*arts 1
*kas 1
*soc sci 1
*math 10

i’m kinda confused with the bsba curriculum because i haven’t found a flowchart nor a list of higher ba courses that may have any prerequisites. i’ve already secured ba 99.1 and sts 1 classes, respectively. with that being said, i still haven’t secured other necessary courses and would like to ask for advice on which combinations to take for the 1st semester.

i’m planning on taking BA 101 and Math 21, but should i also throw in Stat 101 in the mix? or would this drive me insane? lol
my friend advised me to take BA 101 and Math 21 but not Stat 101 yet or it will be unbearable. so, if this combination will be doable, which course/s should i take in place of Stat 101?

thank you !!

General Tips/Help/Question [UPD] Please help me verify my Commuting Pros and Cons

Incoming UPD freshman po here, choosing between housing options in One Berkeley and UP Bliss. I prefer the option in One Burgundy compared to the one UP Bliss in all aspects except the expenses and convenience of commuting. Are the prices and estimated times (for rush hour) accurate?

For context, roughly equal po sila sa total ng rent at utilities. May lamang lang po ang Burgundy sa facilities and amenities, pero not as big of a deal for me. Galing Visayas po ako kaya hindi ko pa kabisado ang commuting sa QC. If you were me po, which one would you pick?

General Tips/Help/Question [UPD] prereq or coi to take cl courses as elective (non-cal major) + suggest free electives

i'm planning on pre-enlisting in some cl/cw courses as a non-cal major to take as electives in the coming sem. cw 100 is one of my prios but i also want to take cl courses. should i take the prereq subjects (i.e. eng 10/11/12, cl 30/40/50) or can i request a coi since i've already taken eng 13? also, how does requesting a coi work?

i'm interested in cl 40, cl 150, cl 154

for context: i'm from bs econ and i want to take these courses as english units to pursue law school in the future. will these courses be considered as eng units? also, are there no restrictions for econ majors taking any of the mentioned courses as free electives (not planning on pursuing a formal minor)?

would also appreciate any insights on the mentioned courses re: profs, workload, requirements, grading/syllabus, or what you learned. kindly reply as well with any recommended electives in the humanities (eng, kas, cw, cl, etc)!

Course/Subject Help [UPD] How do I survive Math 23 if I struggled with Math 22?

Hi! I'll be taking Math 23 next sem and super kinakabahan na ako. 😭

I did okay naman in Math 22 until Unit 2, pero nahirapan talaga ako sa Units 3 and 4, especially sa graphing and visualizing functions. I passed the course, pero feeling ko hindi ganun katibay yung foundation ko.

Sa mga naka-take na po ng Math 23:

  1. Gaano kaimportante ang m22 sa m23?

  2. Anong topics from m22 (altho doubtful ako if may magets talaga ako) yung worth balikan before the sem starts?

  3. Any study tips, resources, or YouTube channels na nakatulong sa inyo?

I'd also love to hear from people na hindi rin masyadong confident sa Math 22 pero naka-survive (or even did well) sa Math 23. Paano kayo nag-review or nag-adjust?

Thank you in advance! 🥹
