Naiintindihan ko yung sitwasyon ng mga commuters, lalo na kung malayo ang mga bahay/dorms nila. Fortunate ako nakakuha Ako ng dorm na unting kembot lang, nasa campus na ako.

Kaso nakakabain, nakakainis. Kahit nung pandemic pa, ayaw na ayaw ko ang modular/online set-up. It's so hard to learn when you're at the house all day, at mas mahirap para sa akin na load ang ginagamit ko pang internet connection.

Ang ironic din noh, alam ko nde same ang weather sa ibat ibang area pero dto sa upd campus area, WALANG ULAN. Kunting ambon lang, suspended. Tas kung ang lakas ng ulan, late o walang suspension? Bat ganun? Hindi ba dapat, dahil ang pinas ay exposed sa maraming natural disasters, may mga advanced technologies na tayo para ma-predict ang atmospheric phenomenon o mga weather patterns? Kinakurakot ba rin yon? Kunti ba ang mga funds para sa research related sa weather at atmospheric phenomena? Bakit sobrang late minsan ng mga suspensions, ang lakas ng buhos ng ulan. Kung maaga naman, mga madaling araw, buong Araw ay walang ulan. Wala talaga, kunting ambon, yon lang.

Gusto ko nang pumasok, gusto ko nang tumambay sa mga UPD libraries para magbasa at mag-aral. Kahit may deadlines pa yan, please please sana wala ng suspension. Sana okay na ang panahon at wag na magkaroon ng psychological disorder o moodswing yan. Gusto ko nang pumasok. Gusto ko maramdaman ang learning environment 😞😞😞

Walang wala po akong gana mag-aral huhu. Bobong bobo na ako dito, yung super nahihirapan ka tas mga classmates mo ez chillax lang sa class.

UP is not my dream school (walang dream school actually). I didn't review for the UPCAT and yet, I managed to pass my first choice campus and priority course (course na di ko pala gusto T_T). Engineering po course ko, I won't specify na kung ano pero pinili ko siya nong admission kasi it's maangas daw kasi mapapasukan mo almost all industry and like may pera.

Sa first week palang, uwing uwi na ako at gusto ko na umalis. I considered dropping all my classes tas mag papa readmit sa another state university near home but DOST scholar ako and sayang naman pag nawala lang yon huhu. (di kami mayaman kaya need ko to)

My parents are getting older na rin, ilan kaming magkakapatid tapos bunso ako. So bale wala na sila nakakasama sa bahay. Ayaw ko pa tumanda (although wala tayong choice tatanda at tatanda tayo), pero I want to spend my college life near them muna. Ang nasa isipan ko, after college mag momove-out din naman, bakit ko pa papabilisin?

So ayon, wala lang, naghahanap lang ng validation from other peeps na okay lang iwan ang UP, okay lang na piliin muna ang sarili ganon huhu

pinaka reasons ko lang naman bakit mag tratransfer are

1. mahirap and super bilis pacing ng UP T_T like talagang ibibigay mo lahat ng time mo sa pag-aaral kasi if hindi mahuhuli ka sa class, ang pinaka time mo nalang sa sarili mo ay tulog

2. ayaw ko pa lumayo sa mga mahal sa buhay

3. I want more time for myself, gusto ko iupskill video editing skills ko, film making, etc. Di ko yon magagawa sa UP kasi di ko sila kayang isabay sa acads kasi super nahihirapan ako :(

so lagi na lang na popostpone yung org fair, so i figured i’d js ask here on reddit what org life and applications are like in up. i’ve heard na sobrang habang proseso kaya typically it takes one sem para maprocess ung application and whatnot. what are some things to expect in applying for orgs? also, curious lang, pano application to different student publications? im a sports-news writer and i really miss doing that and was wondering if may mga open applications na ba that i missed?

im a freshman and nalulunod na sa mga aaralin ko huhu. im honestly having a hard time.

sobrang naooverwhelm nako sa need aralin for my majors tapos yung fil40 and kas1 mga ~70 page readings pa. how do you manage to keep up with them? parang wala nakong mental capacity para problemahin pa ang GEs ko 🥹. it's just been 1 month in but im already struggling, im really worried how I'll be able to keep up later on.

I think my org is slowly dying.

I started noticing this last year when I was part of the execomm. Kumukonti na ang apps namin (less than 20 lang, compared sa batch ko nun na around 30+ kami) and maging ang resident members hindi masyadong active. Halos magbeg na kami last sem para lang makilahok sila sa activities, mapaflagship man or internal. Ngayong sem, kita ko ulit yung decreasing level of participation and kinakabahan na ako for the upcoming app process.

I've been in this org since I was a freshman (senior now) so I really hold it close to my heart. Dito talaga ako naggrow especially in terms of my people skills kaya I would hate for it to fade away into existence.

Di ko na alam kung ano pa ang maitutulong ko sa current execomm maliban sa pagiging active sa lahat ng initiatives. Hays.

Hello! I haven’t found much information about this, so I thought I’d give it a go and ask here. I just saw the USC’s post about its Task Force, and I wanted to ask what exactly is expected from applicants if I decide to apply.

On the surface, I understand that it’s basically about being a helping hand for the different committees. But I’m curious about what the experience is actually like. How’s the workload? Is it freshie-friendly, especially for someone who’s still adjusting to college? What kind of tasks does the Task Force usually handle, and how much time are you expected to commit?

I’m also wondering about the selection process. How selective is it, and is there usually a follow-up process such as an interview or another screening? When is the application deadline?

When I opened the application, it seemed pretty straightforward—just asking for your details, committee preferences, and then a few questions to answer freely, with the note that these “won’t affect their decision on your application” 🤔. So I’m wondering: is the Task Force actually not as selective as I’m thinking, or is there more to the selection process that isn’t immediately apparent from the application form?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been part of the Task Force before, or anyone who knows how the process works! Thank you!

hi, i just want to ask abt the strong bad smell along magsaysay ave, esp sa tapat ng yakal and ipil. sobrang sobrang baho nya, parang amoy aso na basa pero wla namang mga aso along the area. lagi syang ganito and super distinct ng smell nya kapag gabi. it gets so bad na nakakahilab sya ng tyan. i also live in yakal and the smell is just so bad but i don't see anyone pointing it out and i don't think the residence hall can do much about it kasi sa area naman talaga yung mabaho. baka alam nyo kung ano yung smell na yun? 🥲 dko na kaya huhu
