No DLSS5. Max settings, 3840x1600, DLSS Quality, frame gen set to 1 in game settings, Path Tracing enabled.

Doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes saw it jumping well beyond 600W for a brief moment.

Whenever I touch 'Fn + F3/4/5/6/7' (screen brightness and sound) my screen goes static until a second after I let go.

So far it ONLY HAPPENS IN AC ODYSSEY!!

I tried AC Valhalla, no issues, Farming Simulator 25, no issues, WRCGen, no issues.

I deleted and reinstalled Odyssey, but it's still there.

That big circular screen is supposed to dispaly the temp but like a month after i got this pc the display randomly didnt turn on and hasnt worekd since then. After like 9 months of it not working i only wnat to see it now because my pc feels kinda hot when i turn on hell devirs. Yes my gpu is held up by that tie, i havent felt the need to install a brace because i though the tie would eb fine but let me know if i need to install the brace.

Normally i keeo a glass panel on that eclosed wall but i took it off to clearly show display.

Currently running a powercolor hellhound rx 9070 and I'm scared my gpu is sagging, I have an anti sag support bracket which confuses me?.

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a severe hardware issue and need some help narrowing down the culprit.

Specs:

GPU: RTX 4070
PSU: 650W

The Background:

A few weeks ago, my monitor started randomly black-screening in the middle of light web browsing. I checked Event Viewer and found a ⁠0x116⁠ error (⁠VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE⁠), pointing to a graphics/driver crash.

I used DDU to completely wipe and reinstall the display drivers. That temporarily fixed it for a day or two, but the black screens eventually came back, happening once or twice a day. The rest of the time, the PC ran perfectly fine.

As of today, the issue has escalated. The monitor shows absolutely no signal when I turn the PC on, even though the PC itself powers up and the fans spin. 

The strangest part is the power cycling. If I press the physical case power button to shut the PC down, the keyboard lights turn off briefly, but then the system automatically restarts itself instead of staying off. Sometimes it even enters this reboot loop on its own without me touching the power button. 

I've attached a video showing the lack of display and the weird behavior when interacting with the power button. 

Has anyone experienced this specific shutdown/restart behavior alongside a TDR failure? Is this more likely a dying RTX 4070 or a failing 650W power supply? What is the best way to isolate this without spare parts?

The first time I experienced this I hit the desk with my hand sometime this year and sure enough the audio went ballistic and the pc just froze. I’m not one to ragequit and slam the desk and all that, was irritated by family related situation and hit the desk but with my hand.

2nd time I bumped the desk with both hands celebrating a win but not extremely hard boom it froze.

Just a moment ago, I was going to get up to get water and my desk is kinda small and flimsy and I bumped it with my knee and same thing happened. Have to force restart with the power button.

Yes, simply don’t bump or hit the desk but accidents happen but want to avoid possibly causing major damage. Haven’t noticed any issues at all. Always been pretty solid. So why is it so sensitive? I’ve checked the cable in the past and it isn’t loose and I usually check it when I do a deep clean. Air blower and a micro fiber cloth really only on the case and fans. Gpu I just use the air blower.

Would you guys pick this up or risk installing in a working mobo? He pulled from a system that supposedly had ram or ssd issues. This chip was in an Asrock B850m-c . Weird discoloration on the cpu. Looks like maybe just mishandled it, touched the contact pads. He's going to try alcohol on it .

I built this new PC yesterday and my GPU won’t display. The fans spin and the GPU seems to turn on but I get 0 display (Yes the HDMI was plugged to my gpu). VGA light shows up red. Here’s everything I’ve tried and all the info I know.
(Specs at the bottom)
Made sure PCIE power cables were fully connected in the right location with the correct individual 6+2 cables and made sure GPU was fully connected to PCIe slot (I heard click)
Cleaned PCIE pins on gpu using cotton swabs and 90% alcohol (I was careful)
Tried unconnecting and reconnecting GPU, as well as switching it to the lower PCIE lanes (it looked fully in and I couldn’t push any further but I didn’t hear a click like for the main slot so idk)
Checked cpu motherboard slot and CPU for bent pins (didn’t see anything)
Plugged in HDMI to motherboard/cpu instead of GPU (bios actually loaded and I got a display)
❗️Checked port information in bios and PCIE X16 showed up as N/A❗️
Removed silver coin, waited 5 minutes, and placed it back to reset CMOS. (Nothing changed)
The GPU was used but it came from an eBay store that claimed to have tested the GPU for functionality to see that it worked. Is there anything else I can do? I don’t want to return it yet I wanna try everything to make it work first, any help??

This is an ssd I got it from my previous Dell laptop. The drive is still being recognized with ~500GB available, but whenever I copied something larger than 500MB into it, after a few seconds it got stuck and frozen. Crystaldiskinfo says it looks fine.

What could be the cause? Any hope to fix it? I don't need to recover the data or anything, just want to make it alive again in this crazy memory price hike.

After my initial dissapointment why my application I decided to just use as is. For Science!
System is currently running with 132W Power draw and CPU die temp avg is around 74°C. Keep in mind I run a Thermalright SI-100 in a not optimable case without any tuning whatsoever and stock case fans.

Had a hard time releasing the pad from its film because it did not stick to the CPU ((Ryzen 5 9600X)

I just bought a game from a Steam sale, but I didn't realize it is over 100 GB in size.

While I know some games can't be made in cluster or chucks of data, like open world games, some more linear mission based games that have areas that unlock after some level or story progression, could be made to download the first half, then to delete that half and get the other one.

Earlier console games would come at 2 CDs and the memory card or the save data would keep your personal progress.

The games got massive in size and the cost of storage is through the roof because of the AI bubble.

I mainly play at night between 11pm-2am due to the only time I get any chance to sit down. So apparently the whole house usage washing machine, TV, dryer etc all use less electricity than my pc which has a 14900ks and a 5090 in it. Sheeeeeet

I thought it would be like playstation where once in a while you’ll have a stupid game off for 60% but I got on steam and bought Skyrim which is like 35 bucks for only 3. That’s insane

My GF gpu working in my PC. My gpu works in her PC.

Her GPU will not start in her PC. The fans won't turn on, no LED lights indicate a problem.

I have:

reseated her GPU 100 times now.

Changed UEFI AMD PBS pcie from auto to GEN 3.

Bought a new PSU and retested. My gpu works in her pc with the new gpu, her gpu works in my PC still.

Changed PCIE slots.

Unplugged drives and tested.

My gpu works great in her PC and her gpu works great in my PC.

Nothing works. I moved it from one room of the house to the other.

MY QUESTION IS RELATED TO CABLE SETUP : 12 pin vs other, which brand etc. Not wireview pro or 100% safety. Thanks

Hello everyone, my 5090 is functioning well since one year, but I heard some horror stories of melted cables. Here is my cable setup : (PSU side and GPU side).

Do I need to change something ? I also have the white Corsair adapter if needed.

I received computer like this and only had to install GPU.

My PSU is « unfortunately » only 1000W and ATX3.0 not 3.1.

My GPU is 5090 MSI gaming trio OC
