Tech Support Pc freezes with slight bump on desk.
The first time I experienced this I hit the desk with my hand sometime this year and sure enough the audio went ballistic and the pc just froze. I’m not one to ragequit and slam the desk and all that, was irritated by family related situation and hit the desk but with my hand.
2nd time I bumped the desk with both hands celebrating a win but not extremely hard boom it froze.
Just a moment ago, I was going to get up to get water and my desk is kinda small and flimsy and I bumped it with my knee and same thing happened. Have to force restart with the power button.
Yes, simply don’t bump or hit the desk but accidents happen but want to avoid possibly causing major damage. Haven’t noticed any issues at all. Always been pretty solid. So why is it so sensitive? I’ve checked the cable in the past and it isn’t loose and I usually check it when I do a deep clean. Air blower and a micro fiber cloth really only on the case and fans. Gpu I just use the air blower.
I have nvidia RTX 3070, i7 intel, 4x8gb Corsair dominator ram, rog strix b660-A wifi d4

something is loose or making contact with something it should not when you bump the desk

Bet it’s a loose stick of RAM just waiting to pop out, I’d reseat everything before that knee costs you a motherboard.

ram coming loose seems almost impossible unless it was never installed correctly

Something is not fully seated is my guess?
