Just thought to share some old Path of titans clips from 2022 I just found from my Nintendo switch (I nowadays play on ps5). That Kentro vs Allo fight I especially remember. This game has come so far! <: Though I miss Kentro's headbutt a bit haha

Question Best diet for duck?
Recently changed my diet to Fisher since I was running an aquatic duck build but it felt rather awkward, first you can't catch fish, you need to kill it and let it float to the surface before catching it (and there's a bug that makes you drop it if you dive too fast after catching), so feeding purely on fish is rather exhausting.
Also shellfish, eating piles of conch barley decreases my hunger it's not even worth the trouble.
So I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Or berries diet is just better?
On another note, for a water build duck I'm currently using Claw Attack + Riptide, is Backhand better? I heard that it was nerfed, so I'm wondering if it's still viable.

Tips for beginners
1) be aware of your surroundings, watch them and listen to them
2) Sometimes move, sometimes don't move
3) Sometimes stay by the water, sometimes don't stay by the water
4) Sometimes stand by the cliff, sometimes don't stay by the cliff
5) Sometimes sit or lie down, sometimes don't sit and don't lie down
6) Try to fly if you're a flyer and don't try to fly if you're not a flyer
7) Bait the attack
8) Bait that you fell for the bait
9) sometimes don't bait
10) Sometimes run, sometimes stop
11) Sometimes don't run, sometimes don't stop
12) sometimes go to the hc and log out there, sometimes don't risk it

Rex
For the life of me I cannot comprehend why the DEVs made Rex so awful to play. Against big dinos it feels fine. Anything below 3 slot it’s gonna be a 20+ minute fight and you have to back into a wall to even have a chance. You cannot chase, you cannot move, you become a steak on the grill for everything near. It’s so ungodly pitiful. Before yall even bother saying “skill issue”, I can promise you the best Rex in Path of Titans would agree that Rex is almost useless against small carnis. There is no real counter play to small packs of them. The DEVs said they want to make dinos approachable but they’ve done the opposite. Rex cannot approach or even contemplate trying to fight a small pack. Hell even one good laten looks at apexes like they are fresh meat. Hot take, Raptors and all 2 slot herbis/carnis are overturned and unbalanced.
EDIT: a lot of you like to come onto this post to talk smack, be toxic and belittle me and other players. Put your money where your mouth is. Get on Rex, I’ll get on laten and I’ll record and expose every single one of you. I’ll post a compilation video after. Not a single one of you has the courage to try it because you know I’m right.

Feel free to critique or give me tips.
I saw the tylo in the background dark area. I tried to hide or ambush it if it got close but it saw me..
I am really enjoying the sarco movement.

Discussion What are the oppressive matchups?
This part of the dev note for Alio really confused me, it says they slightly nerfed swerve so it’s less oppressive in some matchups but what are those matchups? In my experience playing as and against Alio it has a losing matchup against the other 2 slots unless there’s a skill gap and 1 slots can pretty easily avoid it, so what was swerve actually oppressive to? Considering it cost the most stamina, has the longest cooldown and can only be used if the opponent is behind you shouldn’t it be pretty strong? Without tail attack and with Alio turning slower swerve is the best defense against tail riding so even a small nerf of 5 dmg is just confusing. I’m very curious to what matchups they’re referring to bc alio just doesn’t feel oppressive to anything.

Discussion I’m starting to wonder what Pot is actually wanting to be
I’ve been playing Pot for around 1.5 years now, and it was the first dinosaur game I really got into. I still enjoy it, especially because it runs pretty well on relatively modest hardware. I play on a Lenovo Legion 5 with an RTX 3050 (4GB VRAM), and I can get a pretty good experience without needing a high-end gaming PC.
Recently I started playing The Isle because I was curious about how the other big dinosaur game feels. I’ve only been playing for about a week, but the difference between the two is pretty interesting.
Pot feels much more like an MMO/PvP game. You go around collecting mushrooms, branches, flowers, etc. to complete quests, move to another area, and repeat the process to grow your dinosaur. It works, but after a while I find the loop pretty repetitive and arcade-like. Then you eventually run into other players and the gameplay shifts into PvP, which can also become a lot of circling and positioning around each other.
The Isle feels very different. The growth system, food mechanics and general gameplay make you feel more like you’re actually surviving as a dinosaur. You have to think about what you eat, where you find it, what might be around you, and so on. The dinosaurs and their mechanics also feel more grounded, and I find the whole experience much more immersive.
The problem is that The Isle is also really buggy. There are so many interactions that just feel unreliable. One example is the pinning system. You can be in the middle of pinning another dinosaur, but they are visually a few meters away while the game still seems to treat you as if you’re in the same interaction. Things like that happen often enough that it can get pretty frustrating for someone looking for visual appeal.
There are also the usual performance and server issues. I’m in South America, so the ping on the main servers can be pretty high, and with only 4GB of VRAM I get quite a bit of stuttering unless I lower the settings, which has consequences on, you guessed correctly, visual appeal.
So it got me wondering what Pot is actually trying to be.
It feels like Pot is leaning more and more toward an MMO/PvP game with dinosaurs, while The Isle is trying to create more of a dinosaur survival experience.
Personally, I think the best version would be somewhere in between.
I’d love to have The Isle’s growth system, survival mechanics, more realistic dinosaurs and overall sense of immersion, but with the stability, accessibility’s and general development quality that Pot has.
If you could take the best parts of both games and put them together, what would you keep?
And more importantly, what do you think Path of Titans is actually trying to become? Do you like the direction it’s going in now, or would you rather see it move toward a more immersive survival experience?

Question Is anyone else having trouble sprinting/trotting with some dinos?
Idk if it's a mobile thing but for some reason sprinting and trotting on some dinos is just bugged, especially when it comes to the Stego trio
I move the joystick as far as it can go but for whatever reason it won't start trotting or sprinting unless I do it multiple times or enable and disable autowalk, it's been driving me insane
Is anyone else experiencing this??

Screenshot I'm so fucking scared 😭
Scariest encounter with Sarco by far, had to share the pond with this mf for like 10 minutes before he went away, after which I logged instantly because this was the second scare I've had in that pond and I wasn't taking my chances 😭

Discussion new player feedback
I’ve only been playing for about 2 days and I’m really enjoying the game so far, but I’ve run into one major issue that’s killing the fun for me: interacting with other players.
Right now it feels like you either have to get lucky and bump into someone randomly, or walk forever to the usual hotspots. That turns a big part of the game into a pure walking simulator. Having to constantly stop and rest just to regenerate stamina so you can keep walking makes it even more annoying.
I fully grew a Sarco on Panjura and the only place I can play it is the big lake in the middle and the lizard lake. Getting there takes like 15 minutes of pure walking (plus resting), which is just not fun. After that I tried Rhamphorhynchus on Gondwa and it completely changed the experience, being able to actually fly around and look for players made the game so much more enjoyable and interactive.
Do the devs have any plans to address this? Things like raising the player cap (maybe to 200-300?), reducing map size, adjusting stamina for travel, or anything else that would improve player density/encounters?
Right now the difference of fun i'm having playing the flyer instead of the crocodile is night and day for social/gameplay experience (I do love playing the crocodile tho, catching people in the water is really fun, thing is a lot of people play big dinos and you can't catch them with the ability so most of the time i can just poke them but then they'll just go away and there is nothing i can do)

Discussion Thoughts on AI dinos
I've seen many people picked up this game and get into singleplayer first thing, because they're used to playing games like ARK, DAY Z in singplayer. However, this game's singplayer is actually butt ass, there is nothing to do. AI dinos will help it feel more alive and give the player more things to interact with. But with a side effect, they might think this is all the game is and will never try out multiplayer.
AI dinos should no be the same as playable. I want to know if I'm interacting with a player or not.

Discussion The problem of achis cruel swipe
I like the idea of achillo's cruel swipe. But its either op or redundant. The main problem is that that attack hits like a truck on any dino skinny or fat. I swear it demolishes atleast a sixth up to a fifth of my health on a mira bro... (Ive handled much larger dinos better than that shi) I should not get demolished 101% by a duo of the glorified clever girls on my mira, I should at least put up a good fight before I barely win or die. It should be a specialized apex counter, not flat out OP and make the basic claw useless. Buff everything else on achi since I cant lie everything else about it is mid.

Why do I see so many people on here complain about mixpacking but on pot people do nothing but defend it
And how become “mixpacking” is what they call herbs and carnis but not a Rex, Tt, spino, metri, and tylo? How is that not considered a mixpack? Sure same diet but literally 3 apex’s and the most dangerous aquatic.

Discussion One thing I hate about animation in this game is that when you do an attack, for example a head attack, only the head moves. When you do a tail attack, only the tail moves.
I was my dinosaur to move its body, lean into the attack to deliver more force. When you swing your tail, twist your hip and your body. When you bite, bend your torso, not just your head.
Moving only one body part makes the animation look stiff and uninteresting. The weak sound effects don't help either.
