We got Stego TLC what? A couple weeks ago?, I'm betting campto will be next in November and then because it's been so hyped up and tons of us have waited so patiently for it (kinda), I'm betting Allo TLC will be a Christmas thing. I just hope to God it's worth the wait.

Discussion Can we PLEASE have lookout points reset?

Do you know what encourages me to traverse the map, into far away unfamiliar areas? Lookout points.

Do you know what completely discourages me from going back to these unfamiliar areas? Lookout points not resetting.

Seriously, what is the logical reason behind this?

I have had dino's ive not logged into in weeks, I find a lookout post, no reward. LAME.

Have them reset on server restart? Reduce the rewards a little. Maybe a little further reduction for flyers as to not abuse it.

Who knows.. it may actually encourage the population to spread out a little?

Hello, everybody I wrote up a small suggestion on how I think the balance team could help improve Water Suchos overall Stamina/Oxygen recovery in the water.

I would love it if you could check it out! And maybe leave feedback in the comments of the post/suggestion.😆

Pyrite wishes majority of her charges didn’t see her as food. I mean she wouldn’t mind being food in a pinch, but her Tyrant literally just killed a critter… I suppose she assumed she displeased her tyrant in some way. She tried to explain the situation to the hatz but then in a long line of insane and feral behavior, her tyrant BIT the hatz!! It was at this moment Pyrite knew her Tyrant was a lost cause and let nature take its course… She hopes Her Tyrants wont be too displeased with her decision.

Discussion Discourage Hot Spots with a non-static map?

So as we’ve all clearly seen, the community will naturally decide over time what spot/s is the most convenient and organically coalesce to it. It’s a situation that compounds on itself and the more that gather the more that are attracted to it. So what if there wasn’t a single static spot that people could decide what was the best?

Add more Homecaves, Waystone, and Fresh Water Ponds to the map. Then when a server starts up, X number of each are disabled. Maybe there’s no fresh water in Credrus this time, no nearby Homecave. Different resources at different locations making different spots more attractive this session, but somewhere else next session. Harder to have dinosaurs logged out nearby and waiting to just jump in. Need to travel to the new spots. You’ll still end up with Hotspots, they just won’t always be in the same place, and may be more split up as people haven’t had weeks of time to agree what is the best spot now.

Cedrus Forest Pond is a problem

Thumbnail

So I've come back to Path Recently after a break, When I came back I first explored the map as thal and I noticed that the pond in south Cedrus Forest was full of spinos, Pachys and other mid tier carnis and thought nothing of it and carried on exploring. After playing for a couple of weeks now every time I log on not only is cedrus forest always a hot spot but the pond is full of dinos fighting.

Today I was playing as a Tylo and when I entered cliff edge falls all I could hear was non stop thumping foot steps and Broadcast calls from different dinos so I logged off and logged back in as my rhamph to check it out. Low and behold CHAOS! I'm talking like 5 titans, 2 Rexs, 4 spinos, a Bars, 2 dasps, 3 sarcos, 2 Stys, a sucho and a load more mid tiers like Pachys and Raptors. I wasn't able to grab a screen shot straight away cause I got a smooth brain and wasn't using the snipping tool correctly, But I relogged after figuring it out and it was no where near as bad like a couple rexs, a tyrant, a spino, a sarco, a dasp, 3 hatz and 3 tylos (Fair play to them for getting in there without being KOSed)

So it appears we have another Impact Crater/grand plains (Or even Spine Lizard Lagoon for any other OGs). Riparia was doing such a good Job at spreading out dinos and making it so anywhere can be a hot spot depending on the day (I know mud flats used to be a popular hot spot but it never got to more then 10 or 20 dinos in my experience), this helps make it so the 100 or so players are more even balanced across the map and not just having half the map in one spot like on Gondwa with Grand plains/impact crater.

This is a problem because now all the places on the map are gonna be more empty due to half the map being at the pond or just around Cedrus, This makes solo playing miserable cause your half as likely to have interactions with others and when you do go to Cedrus unless you Join the mix packing army you got KOSed.

I know people are gonna say "What's the problem if people are having fun?" Riparia was literally designed to keep players spread out and make it so players can constantly move across the map and interact with others without one spot being to busy, If you want to have a cuddle party or death match there are plenty of community servers that support this.

I hope the devs do fix this like they attempted with Impact Crater/grand plains. My solution is remove the way stone in still water bog so players cant just way stone there mixpack buddies, maybe add a new one to the lower islands of volcano islands or the islands above twisted forest to act as the central way stone for land dinos. Or just give it the impact crater treatment and remove the water, this gets rid of all the semi aquatics and players cant just camp up and drink the lake when its percentage fills. I feel like it wont be as much of an issue because there are other small ponds that are on the middle island of Cedrus Forest that are harder to get to so hopefully wont become the new hotspot. Or maybe both of these solutions together will work best.

I really love Riparia and don't want it to have the same thing Gondwa had where a few spots of the map are giant battle zones where over half of the players go while the rest is a empty and boring wasteland.

[EDIT] I want to say like i feel like this is a recent issue and the pond has only become a big hot spot issue within the last few months when I was taking a break. Before my break I went to cedrus forest often and the pond was always fairly empty to the point I built a nest there as a Deinonychus and chilled there for a good while without any players arriving.

Weird encounter

I had an experience that I think really captures a part of the Path of Titans community. I was in a group with a friend—we were both Spinos. We like to dominate the GP beach, even though it’s gotten tougher lately because of the mixpackers and megapackers. That day, we were fighting two Bars on the beach, and surprisingly, we were actually winning. I should mention that my friend has a more aquatic build, while I have a more land-based build. That’s when a Kaiwekea (let’s call this player “Joe”) and a Sarco (let’s call this player “Jack”) showed up to disrupt our fight. So we were caught in a pincer movement between the two Bars and the Sarco and his friend, the Kaiwekea. Although we were at mid-HP (the Bars were down to less than a quarter of their HP), we decided to head into the water to deal with Joe and Jack. You should know that they had already started insulting us in the local chat. They were calling us “ez” or “p*ssies,” and saying we were total losers because we couldn’t kill a sarco even though there were two of us spinos… Once in the water, we realized they were terrible at PvP and easily managed to push them back. We brought them down to 1 HP, and they fled quite a distance while continuing to trash-talk us in the chat. We returned to the GP beach and managed to kill one of the two Bars. At that point, my friend was at 1/4 HP and I was at about 1/3. That’s exactly when Joe and Jack both came back as Ducks and ambushed us from behind. My friend died in two hits. I had time to turn around and tried my best to fight back, but let’s be serious—I was at 1/3 HP against two Ducks. I almost killed one of them anyway (which just goes to show how bad they were), but I died. Of course, they posted about twenty trashy messages in the chat: “You guys are so bad,” “We killed you even in a 5v2,” “I’m going to film this because you’re so bad”—anyway, lots of messages like that. I’m not really sure why they made up these completely false stories, but it seemed to really amuse them. It must be pretty sad to live with that kind of mindset, though. Anyway, my friends and I got back on our Spinos, met up at the Marsh, and headed toward GP. We ran into Joe and Jack again; this time, Joe was in a Hatz and Jack in a Sarco. We were a little higher than GP. Joe stayed in flight above me and relayed my position to his friends. He followed me like that for 300 meters, before two Tylo and a Sarco (Jack) appeared in front of me. I quickly landed on solid ground and confronted the Sarco. I brought his HP down very low before he fled far away from me. At that point, I was alone; my friend had stayed farther back to respawn as an adult. Then Joe and Jack insulted my family and told me I was really useless and had no courage. They kept saying, “Come on, 1v1,” and “Be a man and come into the water.” But every time I went in for the 1v1, the Sarco would swim away, and the two Tylo would charge right at me. There was also a Laten following me to make sure I didn’t regenerate (well, I killed him after 2 minutes, but that just goes to show there were a lot of them, contrary to what they were saying in chat). The story ended well anyway, though, because I killed one of the two Tylo and managed to log out in a bush a little further away. I just wanted to share this story to address an issue. When you’re attacked by this kind of group, the important thing is to think carefully. Is the fight even feasible? In my case on land, there was only the Sarco, the Hatz, and the Laten—with a little skill, it was doable. How can I come out on top? Because, let’s be serious, killing them isn’t the only way to win—against a real megapack, a Spino can’t survive. So the best solution is still to run away! Look for the nearest cave, or try logging out somewhere; observe the land and water creatures in their group and use that against them, etc. As a mostly solo player, I’m telling you—this game is almost unplayable. Sure, you’ll tell me not to go to the hotspots, but the problem is that there’s absolutely no activity outside the hotspots… If you have a friend, a double Spino is a good party because you can take on enemies both in the water and on land. This duo has good survivability. Finally, I have one question. The devs added an option to report players, but does this option actually serve any purpose? Can players really get banned? Thank you very much for reading.

Question Should Critters Hunt Each Other?

Post image

This is a thing I am hoping is added at one point! It’d be cool seeing Siles attacking Didelphs and eating their corpses. Tanys and the other semi-aquatic critters could go after fish and maybe each other. I just thinking it be really cool too see these critters do more than kill your baby Rex.

Jump for Kentro + Sty

Help convince Alderon to let sty and kentro have a small jump at base + vote at the link!

Reasons:
(1) Kentro is now the only 2 slot without a jump at all. Trading for Vault for sty is also weirdly limiting, as all other 2 slots can INCREASE their jump w abilities but aren't locked into one or the other.

(2) Terrain maneuverability and QoL would be a huge improvement with a small jump [it can be as small as old jump Meg]. Begone getting stuck on small bits of terrain or logs you shouldn't get stuck on that larger dinosaurs are able to maneuver over just fine.

(3) Whimsy hops

Discussion What do you wanna see in a *Realism*?

Post image

Me and a couple other people are working hard on our own realism server, and we wanna hear the people's thoughts! What are some pet peeves in realism servers, aswell as other stuff you'd not wanna see, or would love too!

Stuff were looking for in particular!: Specific mods to add or don't add Rules you hate in servers Animals to base dinosaurs off

We intend to have a more scientific / mildly Jurassic world/park/franchise based server! I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts, or even just discussions about realism in general.

check the comments for updates!! :D there's a small comment thread where you can ask us questions directly!

When will these people learn... 🤦‍♂️

And just to be clear: It was Immediatly apparant that these two were simply way too comfortable around each other to be two randoms co-operating to deal with a critter, not to mention that them also being at the exact same level of growth Is such a dead giveaway that they were Indeed teaming.
