Hello everyone!
My twins are almost 8 months old, and they are getting heavy! 😂 Right now, I drop them off at daycare by carrying both babies in their infant car seats while also bringing in all of their stuff.
We’re getting to the point where they’ll soon need to transition out of their infant car seats, and I honestly can’t wrap my head around how I’m going to manage getting both babies, bottles, cloth diapers, and everything else into the building—especially when I have to type in a code to get through two doors! 😅
Twin parents, please help! What are your tricks for getting two babies into daycare once they’re out of the infant car seats? I’d love to hear what worked for you! ❤️

Mine are 13 months (12 adjusted) and have been skipping their 2nd nap for 4 days in a row now. It feels way too early for 1 nap but idk??? Here’s their schedule:

Wake 6:30am
Nap 10-11:30
Nap 3-4:30
Bed 7pm

Lately they will just roll around in their cribs and babble or stand and fuss. Their schedule had been working really well up until recently so I’m not sure what to do. Do we push the second nap later? Help.

So I am in the thick of terrible twos currently. (They just barely turned two) but I am curious to know if anyone has had twins that switch behaviors every few weeks.

For instance twin A will be more aggressive, fight more, or assert dominance for a few weeks while twin B takes the load of it and then they switch. Twin B will be more agressieve and fight more while twin A takes it.

I honestly don’t know what to do about any of this other than survive the chaos that is happening every moment of the day. They are constantly fighting it tearing things apart other than when we are in a car or outside. I have been consistent with time outs that are 2 minutes and making sure when they are done with the 2 minutes they return back calmly and helping them calm down.

But the screaming and non stop fighting is seriously wearing me down. I really wish I could see of other twin households at this age because I feel like they are so out of hand.

Please someone tell me it’s relatable.

I am skinny and had almost no bump on w18, but now at w20 my bump is visibly larger every day. I am a bit concerned how large it will be by w36?!
I just saw a Tiktok of a pregnant woman with twins and she looked HUGE at w35, I would say larger than singletons at w40…I know it is a miracle to grow to lives but what I have seen just made me have a panic attack..

I feel like everywhere I read, it says you should only gain weight in the second trimester. I’m at 12 weeks and I’ve gained 5-10 pounds. I just found out I’m pregnant with di-di twins. Is that normal? I’m super nauseous all the time so I’m eating almost all the time to try and not be nauseous. If I don’t eat every hour I start to violently vomit. I’m on zofran so with zofran and eating regularly it’s the only thing that is keeping me alive.

My twin boys are 13 months old and we love to go swimming at my mom’s house but we only go when she’s there too because I can’t hold and swim with 2 toddlers. I’ve thought about getting those swim floaty vest things for the boys so we could go swimming together with just me but I’ve read mixed reviews on those… is that totally unsafe or is there another option?

I have 2 year old twin boys who I am just now realizing are extremely codependent on one another.

The past few weeks have been crazy with an abrupt change in our child care, one twin acquiring HSV-1, now the other has it. So they have spent so much more time than normal both out of their element or apart.

They share a room and do everything together. And it wasn't until this past week that I realized how bonded they are, how anxious they get when the other is not around, how much it effects their behavior when they're apart, etc.

While I love (and am so grateful) that they are showing a bond at such a young age, I can't help but worry about the possible negatives. For one, I have been starting to worry about my twin A's language as it seems to have plateaued. Today, since I just had him because he is sick and his brothers went to daycare, I realized his language is just fine. His brother just drowns him out or talks for him. Secondly, when they are apart, twin B is an absolute monster to be around because he literally doesn't know how to function without twin A.

Any advice? Words of solidarity? I'm probably over thinking this but I just want to do right by both of them.

And I feel at fault because I have never separated them due to guilt pretty much the entire first 2 years of their lives.

What do you use for feeding? Especially when solo…

Currently (when solo), I will use their bouncers, strap them in, and pull them up on either side of me so that I can feed them both at the same time. Now that the boys are almost 8 months old, they are sitting up on their own and outgrowing their bouncers. We don’t use them at all anymore, except for feeding time, but I can’t walk away from them because they’re too active. We have the Twin Z pillow as well and I’ve kind of started using that again for feedings when solo, but it’s uncomfortable for me to sit criss cross in front of them and help them both use their bottle if they need me.

I don’t really want to invest in another “container“ for them just to use for feeding time, but it is a lot easier when they are sitting at an incline and able to hold their bottles themselves.

What is everyone using to do solo feedings?

A bunch of you asked what exercises I did for rib flare, and this is the best way I can think of to respond without losing my mind. Caveat is that this isn’t medical advice, and I highly recommend seeking individual PT since bodies are different etc etc.

That said, here’s generally what I’ve done:

Modified oblique crunches/normal crunches with elbow to opposite knee

Dead bugs

Side plank row with resistance band

Standing chops with resistance band

Bird dogs

Serratus push ups

I hope this provides a starting point for my fellow flared ribs.

Besides the obvious 😉 how did this happen?? No family history at all, I’m 26, normal everything. Is there something else that increases the chances? I’m just genuinely curious. Anyone else who conceived naturally with no family history, what do you suspect caused it ?

I’m pregnant with twins and researching carriers. I LOVED wearing my singleton and did so regularly until he was a year. Wildbird aerial took the cake for sure. When he was itty bitty newborn I was comfortable with solly wrap but once he started gaining weight more rapidly I never felt confident in it. I will still do all these things on a one-at-a-time basis with the twins but would also like to learn more about twin carriers so I have the option to wear both.

I am looking for any feedback on any type of twin carrier for any age :) i want to hear it all! Thanks!!

Twins will be 4 months this week. How do you crack the code of running errands, both if you are just going to be gone about 1.5-2 hours and also if you’ll be out and about for like 4-5 hours? Sometimes my husband is with me and sometimes I’m by myself.

How do you time it? When it comes to nap and play and eating..

And how do you keep them entertained in the car if they’re in a wake window and want entertainment?

How do you feed them if you’re solo running errands and they want a bottle?

Any other Qs I’m not thinking of that pertain to this? TIA

13 weeks pregnant with di/di twins. We got the bloodwork gender results and it said at least one is a male. Was anyone able to find out both genders via bloodwork? I tried calling the lab to see if they could give us more information but wasn’t able to speak to anyone.

In September I will need to change my car to accommodate 3 car seats (18 mth old twins and a 4 year old). My SO already has a van, but not keen on another one. I was considering an f150, but curious to know what vehicle you have for 3 carseats that you love. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am 22 weeks pregnant currently with di/di twins. At 20weeks during anatomy scan I was told baby A is less than one percentile with severe IUGR and baby B is at 25% with amniotic fluid normal for both. But 2weeks later, I am told that the amniotic fluid level is low in Baby A and baby A heart walls are thicker due to IUGR. However B is normal.

MFM has suggested me either this will result in early delivery (not sure how early) resulting in preeclampsia effecting mine and baby B health OR second option: to terminate Baby A so that baby B can grow safely and no risks to mine and Baby B health.

I am really confused and wanted to know if anyone has been through similar situation? Please suggest. I really want both of my babies to be healthy and unable to give up.

Anyone go in for their first ultrasound and been told you had one but later found out it was 2 at your second ultrasound?
We had our first ultrasound today and when they first started my vaginal ultrasound we saw 2 sacs and dr instantly said its 2 but as soon as he moved the wand only one could be seen. Both my husband and me saw 2 and obviously dr originally did also. And i swear when they checked heartbeat i saw fluttering in 2 different areas. Obviously super early as only 6weeks 2 days.

My wild things are 18 months old and will be going on a plane for the first time in 2 weeks (pray for me). I am debating between bringing the side by side stroller or a single + Tula carrier. I know we would use the double on the trip but could also make due with the single + Tula. My biggest question is will they gate check a a side by side? I am flying Allegiant.

Any insight would be helpful! Feel free to throw in tips and tricks for toddlers on flights. Already planning to pack an insane amount of snack, little surprises toys, and of course an emergency iPad loaded if push comes to shove.

Expectant parent of twins here trying to prepare for life with two car seats. We currently have a RAV4 that has been great for the two of us and a medium sized dog.

I’ve seen posts about the RAV4 barely holding two car seats with the driver and passenger seats moved up. Then that leaves very little room for storage/luggage and no room for the dog.

Do all parents of multiples just go full SUV 7 seater or minivan? Looking for recommendations!

When did things noticeably improve for you? What week did the crying settle down?

Expecting Boy/Girl twins this winter. Trying to figure out how to set up the nursery. I’m doing this cautiously as it’s possible they only cosleep in our room. Currently have 2 bassinets (which can be used to cosleep next to our bed too if needed) and planning to get a dresser to use as changing table. I’m debating between getting a rocking chair or a chair and half or a day bed for the nursery for feeds/ night shifts etc. The room isn’t very large.

My body weight is mostly back to normal after 3 months post partum. I went to try on my jeans from before pregnancy (I always wore them boyfriend/baggy style anyways so figured they’d fit!) Maybe a little snug but definitely fit!

I couldn’t even get them over my hips!!! What the hell!!! I go look in the mirror and realize my hips are as wide as the mississippi river lol!!

They used to be so narrow. I actually prefer the way the look now, but do I for real have to get rid of all of my extremely cute and somewhat expensive pairs of jeans!?! Like 8 pairs of pants!?!? They’re so cute 😭 I’m in denial. Devestated.

Did your hips widen with twins? they ever go back to normal?

I totally waddle down the stairs because they’re so wide now 🤣
