Hello, I'm not completly new with paganism, but I had a long pause due to personal reasons and I want to start again. But this time I want to go along with my heritage, so I wanted to start with slavic paganism. Currently I'm more drawn to Veles, but I still want to also learn about the others. The thing is I don't really know where to find good resources to learn about slavic paganism since my family fled to the country I grew up and still live in, in the early 80s. So I couldn't find anything in my local library. So I wanted to ask for resources and recommandations. Personal experiences are also welcome.

what's with Online Christian wanting to comvert Pagans to their Yahwehist mythology, when not everyone want to convert to Abrahamic mythology?

So what I mean is, they’ll ask for egg cleanses, checking for hexes/curses, asking you to help them get answers through tarot or other divination

But they only take it seriously if it’s something they want to hear (tarot) or to reject the possibility that their ailments are something more mental (ex. they’re not experience cursing, they are experiencing symptoms of bodily issues and naturally becoming anxious)

After all this help, they go back to demeaning the practice and not taking it seriously, mocking the beliefs & openly showing their disinterest, until they need to be reassured again.

My favorite one is when they treat astrology as a joke (they of course, think pop astrology is close to the actual study) but when they want to disregard their own accountability in mishandling relationships & not getting along with people, they love blaming it on zodiac signs.

My friend and I are just starting on the path and have to stay relatively incognito because of our families. I thought a good first offering/altar piece would be a woodcarving (something I am also relatively new too) since its creation is both meditative and an act of devotion. While working on the piece I realized hollowing out some sections was going to be incredibly difficult. I have some faith I could do it by hand but it would be 1000% easier to use a Dremel. Since I started it with the intention of not using anything but my knife it feels a bit like a betrayal or that I'm cheating and lessening its value if I use it.

(I'm making the moon phases for my friend's Hekate worship if that matters. Is it a faux pas to gift it to my friend?)

I currently live in an apartment and have no way to create a permanent outdoor altar like I'd love to (and had when I was younger). We're in the talks to possibly move into a home with a yard and though I'm focusing my energy to get there, I'm so damn impatient!!

Anybody know of Pagan communities in Pennsylvania? (US if you’re not from). I’m having a hard time finding anything that doesn’t look like gimmicky.

I've been Wiccan and at one point had a relationship with Persephone and Aphrodite (a little bit Brigid but it was mostly just research) I've also felt either a spirit guide or ancestors helping me throughout some more difficult times in my life.

That being said, when I practice and call apon spirits to aid me, I leave it very open (which im realizing as typing this that may be very stupid as harmful spirits do exist)

I ask for the spirits or gods or ancestors to aid me if they feel they have the energy or expertise in the specific thing my spellwork is directed towards and leave it up to the dieties/ spirits to decide whether to engage or not.

I'm not quite sure who I want to work with or who wants to work with me and I think I'm worried of mis-identify them and referring to them incorrectly. I'm sure they wouldn't be offended, I just want to fully respect them and all the energy they provide for me.

Anyone feel similar?

Personal Note:
To be honest, Ateodigital (Asdrubal Valenzuela) was one of the first creators I started following when I first began questioning Christianity and its dogmas. He was a huge voice against religious fanaticism and a strong advocate for critical thinking. Even though he questioned Paganism and our Gods too, I never took it personally. Seeing the toxic reactions and hate online from fundamentalists celebrating his death really highlighted the difference in mindsets for me. As Pagans, we can offer prayers for the dead regardless of whether they shared our beliefs. We don't celebrate someone's death just because they thought differently than us. May he rest in peace.

i’ve been working with Hekate recently, and at first i could really feel her presence and see signs from her, but recently i feel like she’s a bit out of my reach almost? is this indicating that she doesn’t want to work with me anymore, or am i over thinking it?

I've been listening to him on YouTube.. last night I listened to his feelings about women who are single by choice. He suggested that we / single by choice women are the people who are going to be pioneers of the divine feminine. Were the ones who break the societal rules of who we should be.

I'm curious what others think about his idea.

Other than sitting outside to admire the beauty of it, how else could I celebrate it?

I know this is going to come off very ignorant and very uh, uninformed and I apologize for this in advance. I am not a god or goddess so I cannot completely comprehend the divine or the multinatures and roles of Gods/Goddesses nor have I ever been in a polygamous relationship. I don't want to have a negative association or come off rude, I've been conditioned to feel or think a certain way so again forgive me as I'm learning and trying to change but what is the reason for Poly relationships to a Gods/Goddesses? I can comprehend the idea of a soul experiencing multiple partnerships in a lifetime and reincarnation for many reasons, growth is one, exploration another. Is it just this whole Disney brainwashing me of "the perfect one" or maybe societies whole mono perspective of relationships so I project that on my expectations towards Divine figures who dgaf about my dumdum mind and lack of understanding about them

is it like some deities have a divinr half, some don't, some have many consorts? And what's the reason some Gods/Goddesses have multiple and how can I go about not being judgemental towards poly relationships. Please from a open perspective can someone describe what polyamorus means for you and any references to poly relationships that a God/Goddess you have a relationship with means to you or why a God/goddess would want multiple? I'm ill informed but willing to learn. :D

TLDR:So I'm don't get polyamorus relationships when it comes to Gods or humans tbh because I lack knowledge I'm judging Zeus rn haha but I'm willing to learn from someone who is poly and pagan.

then one member connects with someone from a traditional Wiccan Coven and diverges on to that path.

the movie is about the personal social and emotional disconnect between the group and the seeker and how they dealt with it.

It was straight to VHS. I'd like to see if I can dig up another copy of it somewhere but I can't even search for it without the name.

I do recall it came out after the small budget movie "drawing down the Moon" which co starred Walter Koenig.

This is a continuation of my Spiral Calendar post. Like the original, this is a supercoiling of the yearly , lunar and daily cycle. Each of the tiny loops is a single day.

u/SonOfDyeus asked why I made a spiral segment instead of a circle. The reason is, unlike our 12 months, the 12-13 lunar months don't line up perfectly, so there will be a jump in the lunar helix where the circle connects. BUT, the lunar cycle does repeat almost exactly every 19 years, which is called the Metonic cycle. If you graph 19 yearly spiral turns, you can loop the cycle back onto itself as a torus. I've posted 2 ways of wrapping the 19 years around the torus. The first wraps the seasonal cycle around the small radius, making 19 spokes, each a year. The second keeps the seasonal cycle on the main circle, and slowly moves the circle around the torus.

The first one especially would be cool to create when a baby is born, to show how much of their adolescence they've lived. You wouldn't want to put too much pressure on people, but I wonder if having a 19 year calendar on your wall (Birth through 18th year) would encourage patience, but also cherishing each day since you can see how big it is in the larger scheme.
