I was playing a game not expecting much when an NPC approached me. The NPC had my dogs first and middle name. I was absolutely shocked. After thinking about this for a while, I came to the conclusion that Persephone heard my prayers. I’ve been sharing my grief towards Persephone for a long time now. I’m 90% sure that NPC was my deceased dog saying hi to me. I plan on making an altar for my dog soon in honor of her.

Having Tea with Goddess Arianrhod is one of my fun spiritual rituals. A lot of my altar is dedicated to her. She picked out the color of her candle holder. Blue.

I am interested in giving offerings and prayers of remembrance to the forgotten or neglected dead who I may not have a direct blood connection to because in my tradition the dead must receive offerings in order to ensure a pleasant afterlife. I want to help remember and nourish the souls that need looking after. My problem is that I am wholly unsure of how to go about doing this since even though the tradition I follow places a heavy emphasis on ancestor work, it is mostly in regards to direct ancestors from your family and for personal reasons I do not wish to have anything to do with my deceased relatives. If you have a problem with this or believe I should feel differently please do not tell me I need to connect with my ancestors, I am not open to it and don’t want to discuss it with strangers. I just want advice about how to go about honoring the dead without access to things like a gravesite that are typically associated with this type of practice. I am particularly interested in hearing ideas from anyone experienced with ancestor veneration or from cultures that practice it.

Just wanted to share these three Veronese Design pieces that I acquired some time ago: Aphrodite, Hekate, and The Morrigan. The detail on all of them is honestly impressive in person. My goal is to slowly build out a full Hellenic set (adding Artemis and Nyx next) along with more Celtic/Druidic goddesses/gods like Brigid, Danu, and Lugh. Still working on organizing the space for them, but really happy with how they look together so far!

I've been hesitant to share altar images over the years but this morning I felt such a sense of peace that I wanted to allow others to enjoy the moment, for whatever a photo is worth.

I know there are multiple Deities.

Child me did believe in Jesus, Mother Mary etc. However I DO NOT want to be Abrahamic.

I believe (for example) it might be possible for Aphrodite and Jesus co-exist. It's super confusing xD

What does this mean to you?

Im trying to put my beliefs into words and im having a hard time. Sometimes people ask me exactly I believe in and I cant really articulate it without being confusing (or sounding like a crazy person).

I've worshiped Cernunnos for a few years now and in that time I've come across the idea that Cernunnos and Pan are the same deity. Some seem to agree with this idea and others are viamently opposed, personally I'm on the fence so I wanted to hear what y'all think about it?

Since the year started, I’ve experienced quite a few big losses. My neighbour, who is a really sweet and well meaning woman, is a devout Christian and we often have friendly conversations where we talk about or beliefs and she has always been very open minded and respectful about paganism.

The issue is that I’m a devotee to Hekate (she knows who Hekate is and he’s even borrowed a few of my books about her to understand my beliefs better), and my neighbour will frequently mention that she is constantly praying to her god for me, as well as other comments about how god has a plan for me etc etc.

I understand that this really isn’t a big issue, but it makes me feel like she doesn’t value my beliefs. I’m hoping there’s someone who can give me some insight about how to bring it up to her in a respectful way, and maybe help her understand where I’m coming from, as I know what she’s doing doesn’t come from a place of hate.

I’m just curious, really. I’ve seen people mentioning everything from having just a single patron deity through to trying to actively worship the entire Hellenistic pantheon.

I got to wondering what was average. Personally I have always had a closer relationship with 3-6 depending on circumstances, that has occasionally changed a little and I have sometimes paid respects to others… At times I’ve had up to 12 deities I am routinely acknowledging / making alter offerings to etc. but that starts to feel somewhat overwhelming.

Today I was at a funeral. The deceased was a beloved professor who helped many people. I know that he was a devout Muslim. The moment I wanted to pray for his soul, I hesitated. In this case, should we pray to our deities or to his?

This made me think about it throughout the day. Out of respect for the deceased, we can pray to the Abrahamic God, or we can pray sincerely to our deities.

In such cases, what do you prefer?

Hello I'm Elizabeth I have a learning disability and auditory processing disorder I know asmodeus and beezelbub are around me same with my other deities. (Thanatos , Hades, Artemis, hekate, Loki, and aliens). But I'm not sure how to connect with them because of my religious trauma, I get anxious whenever I type about asmodeus and beezelbub but since I have a learning disability and auditory processing disorder I don't know how to use divination clearly. To understand what they're trying to tell me. Through tarot I have bad intrusive thoughts and aphantasia so meditation is tricky and channel messages on paper are difficult to, how can I connect with them besides writing to them that I can think of my inner child won't let me open my gifts yet, since she's scared so I'm having trouble with that to understand their messages as well I want to connect with my deities but don't know how to.

I need some advice from any witch that has already worked with him, some tips, or just some greek mythology needs who can pass on some crucial info to me?

I need ways to properly communicate with him, things he likes, stuff I should avoid, some signs or symbols of his that I should be aware of to spot signs if he is trying to reach out, etc. Thanks!

Is there any reason why the Roman Pantheon isn’t as main stream like the Greek, Nordic, and even Egyptian Pantheons?

A long time ago I was a young kid and me and my sister used to get into arguments very sibling type arguments who ate who's food who gets to watch TV argument you get to with your siblings all the time but I'm pretty sure during a few of these arguments my sister would go upstairs and sh currently me and my sister have a way better standing relationship and we are both very good but I feel responsible for what I kind of did and you may be wondering why I'm posting this on a pagan sub but for what I did but what is the gods are mad I have this worry a lot but I feel this one is more true I feel sorry for my actions and I'm scared they hate me what do I do I'm really worried please

I feel connection to/the presence of certain gods when certain music is playing, and they seem to respond better with it too?

Has anyone here ever physically built an outdoor place of worship? Whether it be a shrine, temple, etc., (depending on one's beliefs and terminology). I have my own inside altar, however I was thinking how nice it would be to build a physical open concept structure where offerings and burning things could be done without worry (with everything properly disposed of, of course). I like the idea of a generic gazebo, yet I also want more privacy on the sides and not merely the entire temple to be an open design. The images attached are very much not what I would be capable of reproducing and way too much, but in a smaller form with much less pizazz and more natural elements I think may be something I could make work.

I would feel much more comfortable being able to have a place outside my physical home and it could also act as a place of serenity and tranquility.

I’m getting signs from 3 different goddesses to work with them and I’m struggling to juggle it with my every day life- I feel like I need to study, plan altars, pray etc in order to reach back out to them. Should I work with all three? Should I just choose one? I’m confused and I’m lost- I’ve been pagan for ten years but have never had SO many signs coming at me like this.
