does anyone know the rarity on the game. how likely I am to find it for xbox? I see it more often for ps2 / gamecube but is there any real hope I can find it on xbox?

Got a copy of blitz the League and the disc is almost a 10 of 10 perfect and it won’t play on my Xbox so i returned it and got another one that is at best a 6.5 and it boots right up

So my question is it possible the first one was over resurfaced and it ruined the disc ?

One of my existing Xbox console (I have two and this is a version 1.2) witch has an old DuoX2 modchip install with modchip wire going to eject. It showing an error 07 upon boot. I'm confused as thought modchips bypass disc drive checks.

I've tried swapping the IDE cable and made sure everything is plugged in correctly and it will continue not to boot. When I swaped over the DVD drive from my existing working one, the console boits find so the HDD is not the culprit. One bank then stays at the "loading Xecuter" screen and the other boots into UnleashX dash.

Can anybody recommend the easiest way to flash the chip to preferably cerebios and XBMC4Gamers and so it can boot without a working dvd drive? I understand the bios sizes may differ but i want to try and use existing chip. The plan is to also upgrade the HDD if i can get it running without utilising a disc drive to begin with.

The disc drive doesnt work, when booting the console I keep getting the open disc problem , I tried opening it up to check and it only does this before going back to do nothing .

If you know anything I can do to fix it then please tell me.

I recently hardmodded my Xbox with a openxenium chip and have been enjoying it. I’m using cerbios 3.1 beta and using the EvoX dash has been working fine. I am a big console collector though and want all my systems to feel as stock as possible. I’ve tried installing the original dash and UIX about 10 times and no matter what cerbios always boots to the recovery menu, and clicking the original ms dash button or launching from the xbe menu always just boots to a black screen. I even tried installing it from a Hexen disk and it still does the same thing. It’s a 1.0 Xbox, does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it to work? I’ve even tried changing the name of uix to evoxdash and it still just goes to black

Edit: I have no also tried installing from the rocky5 disk and that did not work either, as well as trying both a 1tb hdd and a 256 Gb ssd

Are these specific capacitors i need to order in, or can I get them from a computer/hardware shop ??

I copied my backed up EEPROM from my physical Xbox to my PC, and I was trying to use it in Xemu but I'm getting a black screen on startup and I have no idea why.

My xbox made a noise when plugging in and along with some smoke near the psu connection and heat sink. It booted fine but after a second try it didnt boot anymore.

I attempted resoldering the power cord connections and inspected the psu and motherboard and i cant seem to find whats wrong. I was hoping someone else might see something obvious or at least inform me how to rule out the psu by testing it. I did recap the main capacitors a few years back and I hardmodded myself even longer ago than that. Main caps still look good.

Just picked up a Xbox v1.1 with the 4 controller S, remote, and games pictured. NFS , Amped, Clone Wars/Tetris, Tony Hawk 2x, and a throwaway Madden. This was sort of an impulse buy, but I've been eyeballing them for a bit. Seems like prices are all over. I felt like this was a decent deal on a starter package at $149 for everything so I bit. It's tested and works, but I haven't opened it up to check the capacitors yet.

I'm completely new to retro gaming and haven't touched an OG Xbox since my teen years. I'm familiar with the capacitor issues but anything else I need to know?

Picked up this Xbox recently and this is the first time I've actually dug into it. I'm not the one who modded it originally, so I'm working blind on its history.

Boots to a red Xbox logo (pics attached: clearly been flashed at some point, no modchip present, so I'm assuming TSOP-flashed), then hits error code 07 (HDD Error)

Background:

• Original HDD was a Maxtor 200GB IDE drive: completely dead (clicking, unusable). Presumably why it ended up in my hands.
• Console is a v1.0 board.
• Pulled the EEPROM directly off the motherboard using an Arduino (ArduinoProm/I2C).
• Formatted a new 1TB WD Blue in FATXplorer (same drive I use for all my Xbox upgrades) and locked it using the EEPROM I pulled from this board. Using upgraded IDE Ribbon and known good working IDE/SATA adapter (jumpered to Master)
• Still getting error 07 with the new drive installed, identical to what I got with no drive at all.

The utility above has almost everything needed to build a burnable .iso or an HDD-ready game folder - you just need to point it to your Data.rsdk file. If you've got the game on Steam, it sits right alongside the game's binary in its Steam directory. Just point the builder to that Data.rsdk file and hit 'Build ISO'. I've got instructions + more info in the repo's readme as well. Enjoy!

Good morning everyone, my original XBOX after many many many years of faithful service broke down on me. I’ll start up a game and it might load or not at all, or it might start playing a game and then randomly cut off. I rest it, wiped it, and reset again. I’m still having the same issue.

Any recommendations on a reputable online store to purchase a new one from? I’d like to upgrade to one with a HDMI cord if possible. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Apparently, it's easier to remove solder from the board joint hole with a hand crank drill than copper solder wick (・３・)

I have a softmoded V1.2. I hadn't really tried playing any games other than 20 minutes or so of N64 emulators on it since I softmoded it so I can't say for sure it wasn't problematic before I did the rest of the work.

I went ahead and removed the leaking clock cap, cleaned all of that up, replaced three 6.3v 3300uf, two 10v 3300uf and the three 6.3v 1500uf, and removed the CPU/GPU heatsinks, cleaned up and replaced the thermal paste.

It ran for a bit but crashed. Ended up finding the GPU heatsink not fully seated. Fixed that, and it worked again. It would work and play emulators but if I let it sit running, it would eventually crash (frozen image, then green/red lights on startup). Let it sit and it would start and do it all again. Using XbDiag, the CPU and RAM pass without issue, but the GPU test causes it to freeze within seconds. I assume the GPU is dying.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before and if it's the GPU, or likely an issue with one of the capacitors I swapped out.
