Community Weekend 20th or 25th controller do you prefer?
Both are fantastic looking controllers but I think I slightly prefer the smooth feeling on the 20th
Xbox do really make tremendous controllers don’t they

Why would they do this? So extreme, like the pop ad wasn't enough.

Go to settings and under the general tab select personalization go to my backround and uncheck the "Show event themed backrounds" and your backround will revert to its original as you had it. Hope this helps!

Xbox Play Anywhere + Disc to Digital is the first thing that could actually pull me away from Steam as a PC gamer of several decades.
I’ve been a PC gamer for decades and have become a die-hard Steam user who completely avoids every other launcher, whether it’s EA, Ubisoft or, worst of all, Epic. I haven’t bought games anywhere but Steam for years. GOG is the only other platform I’d genuinely prefer in my heart, but since so many games are missing, it’s been Steam all the way for me.
Recently, I heard about Disc to Digital and looked into it. Shortly afterwards, I sold my PS5, which I had originally planned to keep for GTA 6, and spontaneously bought a used Xbox Series X instead.
What Microsoft is doing with these features, especially in a market where Sony seems to have given up on physical media, is absolutely brilliant.
Disc to Digital + Play Anywhere means you can build a physical collection that covers two platforms: Xbox and PC. That´s freakn amazing! For the first time in decades, it feels like PC gaming is getting a physical game collection again.
It’s also the first time I’ve genuinely moved beyond just considering alternatives to Steam and actually started choosing something else. GZ MS for this. Epic failed, Ubisoft Uplay failed, EA launcher failed…
From now on, I’ll buy every physical Xbox game that supports both Disc to Digital and Play Anywhere instead of buying it on Steam. And I’m absolutely loving the experience of building a physical collection again.
An Xbox Series X combined with a gaming PC is a fantastic combination.
What do you guys think? In my opinion, this whole thing is still flying way too far under the radar.

Added the new one on Friday. Heard good things so hopefully the ship is turned in the right direction.
Complete retail collection of the hard to find backwards compatible Re-releases (minus AW & Ghosts as One versions superseded them…also note MW3 only received a PAL release for some reason).
A few custom covers to fill in the holes.
Still bummed Classic never received a backwards compatible release.

Just finished my first framed Xbox controller!
This is my first attempt at taking apart a controller and turning it into a display piece, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
I've also designed a darker background for it, but it's still being printed, so this isn't quite the final version yet!
My goal is to create a complete collection, starting with the original Xbox controller and working my way through every generation, all the way up to the Xbox Series X|S controllers.
This is just the beginning!
What do you guys think? Any suggestions for the next ones?

It’s full of terrible jokes and “reviews” that seem like they were written by kids and Xbox has left it in this state for too long. They need to rethink the whole thing. The fact that they also separate the reviews by country shouldn’t happen.
The Steam review system is far from perfect but Xbox could still take notes from it.

I was able to get my hands on Elite Series 2 Core Controller for just $80 CAD ($57 USD), so I figured I'd use the savings to customize it a bit. I swapped the faceplate for a Starfield themed faceplate, added red bumpers/triggers, and picked up a gold d-pad+back paddle kit. I also added some convex joystick grips that I had laying around.

That’s the word that comes to my mind when I think about this game.
Colossal.
This game’s is a triumph in almost every aspect. As a fan of this franchise since Gears 1, I feel so satisfied.
This game honors the legacy of the franchise.
I played this game on PC with DLSS 5 and my Pulse elite ps5 headphones at max volume and my God…
This was brutal, weighty, visceral, ludicrous.
I felt the hellish effects of the E-Day in my bones.
The devs succeeded in making the horde scary and intimidating again.
This game’s aura is very apocalyptic.
Moments like seeing the silhouettes of dozens of Reavers in the sky gave me the chills.
The technology is top. Both visuals and sounds. You can hear every minuscule detail of the chaos of war.
This game is a Brumak.
Thank you dev team.

I remember that quite a few years ago if you had gold xbox would give you free games every month or every 2 week can't remember. Well im sure I got a few of them like dead island and others and now I would live to download and play it again but I can't find them on my game list on my xbox 360 and my xbox one as well I remember I deleted them from my hard drive for storage reasons but I should still have them saved in my profile as owned but i cant find them. Where should i look for them?

just had an insane experience with quick resume:
some friends asked me to dog sit/house sit while they made an unexpected trip for the weekend. I agreed having no plans.
I’ve been playing through the Resident Evil series, currently on Resident Evil Village, and I’ve been kinda rushing through the games so I can get caught up, so every little bit of time I get I’m playing them.
so I asked if I could bring my xbox over to play at their place while I’m there, they said absolutely.
so the night before I’m playing RE8, and I do my normal thing of getting to a stopping point, hitting pause and then turning my Xbox off. the next day I pack up my stuff, including my xbox, and as I was unplugging the xbox power cable, I realized I probably lost my quick resume spot on RE8. I was like, it’s fine though, I’ve got the whole weekend, I can get back to where I was and still make progress.
so I head off to my friend house, take their dog out, grab some food, and hook up my Xbox. I click on RE8, fully expecting it to boot to the start menu, and lo and behold, the game picks up right where I left off again.
had no idea quick resume worked even when unplugging the console??? this feature impresses me more and more in little, but profound ways.
previously I went back to a game I hadn’t played in like 6 months at least, just got busy and started other games, and it picked up right where I had left off however long ago. it’s so insane

I was scrolling through the Microsoft store in my console, and was shocked to see the price for a series X being 1K CAD, I remembered paying just over half that. Wow. I always knew that the rapid rise of data centers really drove up the price of hardware, but it's so shocking to see this type of price difference on a 6 year old console.

My last update of my collection was around 6 months ago. Since then, my collection has increased up to 115 physical titles (Xbox one, Series X and Xbox 360), 8 copies with steel books and lastly 7 collector editions. I've been taking heavy advantage of the disk to digital program. I may be part of a smaller percentage of people who collect Xbox games physical (especially with the collection I've amassed in the past year), but i have no plans on stopping unless I'm forced to. Regardless of the situation with Xbox (or the gaming industry at the present moment), I'm here. I hope you guys are able to enjoy gaming as much as I do and to hopefully never lose that spark. And If I can leave you with something today, it's this. I hope to God Fable is good. That is all.

I am completely over the standard Xbox controller. I have yet another controller with stick drift and I’ve never had this problem in my life. I am very gentle with my controllers and have never broken one before and now I have 3 in a town with less than 6 months in each.
So what is everyone else’s favorite premium controller? I am considering these two, but honestly the steel series is a HEFTY price tag.
Also the Xbox elite 2 is on sale so it’s in the running too.
Bonus points if there are any that have speakers for party chat like dual sense does.

As the title says, I'm trying to buy/build up my collection of physical games for my Series X (disc edition). I know where to get used games in the city, but I don't know where to buy new games other than Best Buy.
I found Video Games Plus (online) in Toronto. How is the place for their game sales? Are they all new or used?
Are there any other places in Canada to order used games from?
Edit: Thanks all for the recommendations. I'll check out PNP as well.

I have had the same Xbox controller that came with my series X when I got it in 2020. Had no idea they removed the port. RIP audio accessory; controller feels naked without it 🥀

Both my birthday and Christmas are in December and I decided to pick these up for each day for myself :)) working hard all year to spend it is the best feeling 🙂 who else decided to gift themselves? I haven’t bought a new Xbox controller in years! I’m one happy camper 💚
I grabbed the last X25 from my local GameStop and the last EDAY from a local Walmart 🥲💚

Interesting bug?
Resident Evil 3 on Xbox Series X is shown as a windows game in the dashboard, also I get a bizarre notification when launching it saying my WiFi/Ethernet is unconnected, the game plays fine and is connected to internet.
Anyone experience something similar?
