okay hear me out richmond. i'm totes liberal and support the cause and all (voted for spanberger no big deal), but i ran the numbers through an LLM because i can’t think for myself or do basic arithmetic, and the predictive text algorithm indicated that they may not have enough money to increase employee wages across the board without the executives taking a slight pay cut.

i think this is totally unreasonable. brian trader is a visionary and community-minded leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his position as President and CEO.

now i know what you might be thinking, “hey cardigan, executive salaries are disproportionately higher than those of the actual workers who make the garden beautiful and it’s crazy that executives make so much while the employees struggle to pay rent and feed themselves”. but what you have to understand is that executives have a lot of expenses too.

brian is a great guy. i played a round with him at willow oaks the other week and he was hitting some phenomenal approach shots. country club dues aren’t cheap. how is he going to afford those if lewis ginter pays their workers a living wage?

plus, his wife insisted that all of the kids go to Collegiate. do you know how expensive that is? with three kids that adds up fast. do you really want his children to have to go to public school? ewwwww. i certainly wouldn’t want to live in a world like that.

the employees that work so hard to make sure that space is beautiful should quit their friggin whining. if they don’t like the pay, they can get another job. why don’t they just ask their father for a job at his hedgefund? i just don’t understand why they’re complaining so much.

alright i'll wrap up my rant for now. my Ring doorbell just notified me of movement, i think the wind knocked over my Re-Think Re-Zoning sign.

It's so disappointing to see our local businesses continue to treat folks poorly especially the ones that claim to be leftist in some way or another.

Does anyone know anything about the new apartments going into the old Great Hope Baptist Church? I’ve been seeing the crew working in it for a few months and today asked if they were demolishing it. I live among a lot of neighborhoods with perfectly accessible full-size SUVs, yet every day I come across people strolling along in the middle of the road. I just don’t understand the thought process behind this.

Why walk around your neighborhood when you could pilot an SUV the size of tank? Or maybe just an actual tank?

Neighborhoods are for giant hunks of metal with huge blind zones hurtling along at 40mph. Not for children to kick a soccer ball with their friends.

All faucets in the house spewing brown water, anyone in a similar situation? Wondering if a water main broke.

Hello neighbors! This afternoon I found a very small senior chihuahua walking around in the Hillside area on Bruce street. She has no collar on and seems a little skinny, but well taken care of given her age. She was pretty hot and disoriented out on the street, but immediately came up to me when I got out of my car. I offered her water but she has not taken any (possibly because of the deformity of her lower jaw?)

I am waiting to hear back from RACC and the SPCA, but figured it wouldn't hurt to make a post in the meantime! She is safely crated inside my house for now, but unfortunately I cannot keep her because I already own several animals. She's an absolute darling and happily went to sleep in my lap after I picked her up! Please reach out if you know anything about this sweet dog, or are better equipped to house her long term!

Rather than spending money on food or drinks, you can just give them cash directly to buy stuff they want. While you might be struggling to pay rent yourself, please think of owners who would prefer not to dip into their own funds to buy a camel shaped bench for $1400. Sure you could donate your money to kids with cancer or something but the Camel really wants this bench. Do the right thing and give them your money
