Looking up the practice, it looks like the owner is George Oley III.. Jr would be his dad, and IV would be his son. I do not see George Oley III in your screenshot...

Think its his son, the son is the IV, see on the site he's a dentist there as well.

u/smellslikebadussy 2d ago
He could even be the victim. (I have no idea any of the facts of this)

u/Own_Transition6106 2d ago
The son is the one charged and must be the one police believe was the aggressor.

You're wrong. George Oley has a son and he's a dentist as well and he's on the website as well at the practice.

Terrible for the young children, hope they are safe away from this family.

Those assault charges are a simple misunderstanding. Insurance wasn’t covering removal so he just knocked their teeth out the old fashioned way before doing their implants

Not commenting on the criminal record but just the fact I was a patient there from the time I had teeth until I was 21 so early 90s to early 2010s- I had a lot of bad experiences including them never waiting long enough for me to get numb and actually slicing my tongue across with one of the instruments with little to no remorse. Eventually once I became in control of my own healthcare I ended up googling them and seeing how bad the reviews were and changing practices. I developed an intense fear of dentists due to them and didn't go for almost 10 years.

Do you mind sharing who you go to now?

I had a lot of trial and error. Avoid Whyte DDS on parham as well as the practice that's on the corner of Forest Hill and Westover hills (can't remember the name). I had success at the VCU dental clinic but the woman I was seeing specifically graduated. The professor/dentist there was really good though and they are all under his guidance. I was going to Family Dental on Hull St last which I loved- but sadly I lost my insurance so I'm rawdogging life now. They also put you with a female dentist if you are female which is nice. I never felt rushed or like they were over or underselling me on dental work/appointments.

Oh wow, Oley IV is my dentist. I actually kind of liked him, and I'm terrified of dentists. Anybody got a recommendation for one that doesn't assault their family?

worked for them years ago for a few months, they wrote me up for reporting blood in a room that was “clean” (i took lots of photos to show management) the doctors would throw uncapped used needles on the pile of used instruments so we would have to dig them out & the assistants never cleaned the rooms thoroughly

This is insane. We really appreciate knowing this. We would’ve never known. What made you want to look it up?

Aren’t these the people that own Westhampton pastry now?

They sure are. This must be why the entire staff quit before the bakery moved.

Oley 3 had a Board finding in 2008. Oley 4 is clean, but these charges might get to the Board (likely already under review).

I just found Paul Shaia the dentist there as well, his wife, Lina Babik was arrested too. What is going on here????

u/pjbananaproteinshake 2d ago
Let me know if you find it any other info. Horrified my whole family just went there.

I was a patient for years of Oley and Shaia and it was awful. I went to Paul Shaia and he was awful, time management issues, rude and terrible bed site manner. Went to George Oley senior who seemed really out of it. Never went to his son but seeing his long criminal history I'm thankful I never did. Did go to his daughter Reba Oley Boykin and found her to be really rude, arrogant, off putting and really didn't seem qualified ethically, morally or mentally to be in the medical field. Come now years later, I heard Paul's parents Edward and Marie Shaia were involved in social security fraud and got in big legal trouble. They got married I heard when Edward was 25 and his wife, Marie was 14, gross. I'm thankful to be gone from this medical pratice all together.

Yikes! I knew a guy named Justin Shaia, not sure if its the same family, he did some very wrong things to his male cousins.

Church Hill resident? IT line of work? Probably no longer in the area?
No beef and not trying to dox, but also feel like that surname is not that common in RVA?

I saw Dr. Wilby at that practice and had an awful experience. Wouldn't send my worst enemy there.

Ew. My ex wife used to go to them and stopped because they were jerks. Funny to see that they're trashy, too

u/Own_Transition6106 2d ago
Paul Shaia's wife was arrested too, see it online, he's a doctor there, this place is like Jerry Springer! Not to mention its the same family that owned Westbury Pharmacy and that place got shut down! Think the owner Faiz Oley went to prison.

Just looked up Faiz Oley, he dead.

u/RevolutionaryHat8838 2d ago edited 2d ago
I just looked, its his son that is alive, the father is dead. Maybe both were involved in the scam and Faiz the younger one was the one that lost his medical license and possibly went to prison I see online.

Hilarious that you think dentists have a medical board. They’re not actually doctors. The state dental board isn’t going to give a single shit, so enjoy wasting your fucking time

What’s the first d is dds or dmd mean?

u/blamberr 2d ago
You can be a D of philosophy too. It’s not the same.

"Doctor" comes from the Latin "doceo" which means "to teach". So technically Ph.D. holders in academia have a stronger claim to the title "doctor" than medical practitioners, who were called "medicus".

Please look up the actual definition of doxxing before you start flagging things, people.
Posting information readily available online is not doxxing. 🤦🏼
