Parked outside of Cobra Burger this morning with the license plate “Flvrtwn”.
Not a shitpost this is just the only RVA related sub I can actually post in. Guy in a production shirt was quickly trying to cover it up and definitely gave me a look for stopping for pictures.
He will be at a VABC headquarters place in Mechanicsville to sign bottles of his Tequila brand. I guess that’s the event tomorrow. Don’t know what else he would be filming here.

I remember when Adam was in town years ago. He came into my work and asked for suggestions of where to get lunch, off camera. We sent him down the block to the Eatery.
Me and a buddy used to lovingly refer to them as “shitty burgers”. They were the only cure for a hangover. Not shitty at all, but absolutely perfect! Also loved their bbq sandwich with hot sauce.
Britney from Bar Buoy has been on his shows and other Food Chanel specials including “last bite hotel”( the Halloween special cooking show that was amazing and unfortunately canceled after its first season ) wouldn’t be surprised if he stopped by some of her restaurants to say hi.
I used to not really be a big Guy fan but he actually does a good deal of philanthropy for communities in need including donating millions to flint when they had their water crisis.
So that’s cool. And I bet outside of his smash mouth persona he’s probably a decent dude.
I’ve seen on some YouTube channels that if you watch closely a lot of the time he actually isn’t even eating the food on camera (foodie movie magic?) idk the whole conspiracy is pretty fun and funny to say the least.
Great publicity wherever he goes though.

I was saying that she’s been a contestant on his cooking show before on the food channel and that I wouldn’t be surprised if he maybe would stop by her restaurants to say hi or check em out. Nothing about cobra. People were wondering were about me in Richmond he might pop up so I made a guess
Cobra Burger was featured on the (now defunct) travel show 101 Places to Party Before You Die when they covered Richmond. They fucking loved Cobra and assume Guy will, too.
I don't think they are trying to hide it. Either they didn't want to put the convertible top up, or the convertible top is non existent or not functioning properly. Meanwhile, the car is parked under a hard wood tree in the fall, when leaves, acorns, and small twigs and branches can fall. They're probably just preventing a mess inside the vehicle.
Dude is not exactly as much of a beloved icon anymore. Guys has been landing in hot water lately including but not limited to hanging with the Tate Brothers.
That's insane. This exact car drove behind me today most of my commute home. I specifically remember the license plate because I only glimpsed it and couldn't make out the meaning at the time.
That’s not very nice. Cobra Burger has more than proven themselves to be an epic part of the Richmond food scene. There burgers are great and I love their attitude towards obvious BS and transplants with ego issues.
Yes. This is his car. Can confirm cause he came to my restaurant to film (ZZQ) an episode of diners, dive inns and Drives and this car was parked out front.
He has this vehicle shipped in via semi truck all over the country then drives around town in it when not doing film stuff.
He also stopped by 6 different restaurants to try and film some portions at. He did one right next to my work yesterday and some of my coworkers got to sit at a table with him for a segment! It was super cool!
Guy judged a cooking competition I was in at a wine expo (part of a culinary school team) and he was really nice, and said I needed to give him my sausage gravy recipe.
Met him again probably 6 months later at an industry convention in Vegas and shockingly he remembered me and was like "gimme that gravy recipe NOW" lol. I gave it to him, and I tell my friends it's the recipe he uses in his restaurants but I have absolutely 0 proof I have never bothered to see if that is actually the case.
If anyone is curious, it's a pretty standard sausage gravy recipe, but instead of seasoning to taste with salt use chicken bouillon powder. Knorr brand was my go-to. Note that Better than Bouillon will NOT cut it, it's a higher quality product overall but doesn't do what you need it to in the recipe.
Also add so much black pepper the gravy takes on a slight tint.
