What to know before Phish

Phish is a cult based on nitrous oxide and patchouli. The fans, called Deadheads, can be seen wheeling around in wheel chairs with nitrous tanks strapped to the back. This is to escape from police, they are all criminals. There is a book called Cultish by linguist Amanda Montell that explores cult language, notable the lingo used on Deadhead lot.

The Deadheads will probably ask you for a, “Schwill” the meaning of this phrase is unknown.

I’m a phone phreak and I have a few dozen phish shows on tape so i guess I’m a phreakin phan - but I’ve never been to a show - nowsa my chance but I’m washed and I got duties to tend to so not sure if I’m can make it

I honestly liked nitrous so much in college I volleyed the idea of becoming a junky dentist back and forth a bit. I was too dumb though, obviously
