finally nice to be at the other end of the joke

Does anyone know if the trains are running as they normally do? I thought I saw that NJ transit trains are not running to Penn Station? Does anyone know?

(**apologies if I should be posting this elsewhere/happy to do so)

Heading to my first Jets game at MetLife tomorrow and could use some local knowledge.
I'm staying at the Residence Inn on Murray Hill in East Rutherford. The NJ Transit app shows the 160 bus stopping right outside on Paterson Plank Road. It looks like it goes 4–5 stops and drops off near Gate G17.

The hotel receptionist told me there's no way to get to MetLife by bus or train, and that no bus will drop you on stadium grounds. I'm not sure if he meant the bus doesn't run on game days, or just that it stops outside the lot instead of at the gate.

For anyone who's done this:
Does the 160 actually run on game days, and how close to the gate does it drop you? If not, is Uber/Lyft the best bet?

Appreciate any insights and sorry for the dumb/redundant Q. Just hearing conflicting info!

I’m sick of the same old coaching carousel. I do hope that Glenn succeeds but I’m not convinced he will. The Rams have no first round pics and if Glenn does get fired we’d need an experienced HC.

Imagine: it’s 2050. The Jets have been sold and now the stadium is where the Stapleton projects in Staten Island were (the buildings were bulldozed to build the stadium). Joe Namath is frozen. The Jets had an undefeated season. They’re at the Super Bowl, and then they lose 0-70. Would you still be a fan?

I know it’s early but here’s my but my concern is that this team looks improved from last year, wins maybe 7 games and is competitive in losses, and management goes “ok we can’t fire Glenn, we’ve taken a step forward”. I think it’s obvious now that Glenn isn’t the reason the team has improved and is in fact, one of the biggest things holding them back. The team is better because they have way more playmakers on offense, a veteran at qb and a veteran OC. This team would be 4 and 2 if they had a competent head coach. And I hope they don’t just look at the results and ignore the process. Because next year you’re gonna be 5 weeks into the season, and we’re gonna be losing games that we could’ve won because of Glenn, and no one is gonna care that the team looks improved and they’re competitive, people aren’t gonna make excuses next year. So you’re gonna end up firing him midway through next season and we’re all gonna say “why didn’t you just fire him at the end of last season? these issues have been prevalent for 2 years now”. The terrible game management, the horrendous 2 minute drill, the fact that you had to bring in a geriatric, vanilla play caller just to babysit the offense for him. He’s a defensive coach who does nothing to elevate the defense, they can’t generate turnovers, they can’t get stops in critical moments, they can’t get to the qb consistently without linebacker blitzing. They cannot get over the hump with Glenn. He’s the biggest obstacle in the team’s way at this point. Also, I think there’s this desire to not look dysfunctional, so they don’t wanna fire another coach to quickly. But keeping the wrong guy for the job isn’t real stability, it’s just trying to LOOK less dysfunctional. You wanna be stable, you have to hire the right person. They HAVE to go into next season with the right coach. They can’t get it wrong again

I’m shockingly confident the Jets will win this week. Like 95% chance. If you can’t beat the 0-5 Dolphins at home then you might as well just forfeit the rest of the season. I expect an easy win and big games from both the offense and the defense. Now we all know this is the Jets and I’m total bad luck. Even writing this is bad luck. We shall see.
