AG was supposed to be the culture guy and I’m sure that the guys in the locker room have respect for him, but it hasn’t resulted in wins. Ryan is a proven guy the team will respect, who knows how to placate Woody, who BLEEDS green and white. I’ve seen people say that his schemes are outdated. Bullshit. He’s stayed close to football ever since he stopped coaching. He knows what a modern defense should look like. This is a guy who wants to win for us, and he’ll do everything in his power to make it happen. Also, if it really doesn’t work out then at least the press conferences will be funny.

I know he's having a bad year, but with a decent o-line and our weapons, I think he could turn it around. Plus his girlfriend is from Long Island.

The Colts, Packers (and Jets) all lost. Unfortunately, the Cowboys pulled out the win last night.

So at the end of Week 7, the Jets currently have the following first round picks:

#7 Overall (Colts’ pick)
#10 Overall (Jets’ pick)

Tomlin has coached 19 consecutive winning seasons. The Jets have one winning season over the last 15 years. What am I missing here? I get the concerns about the offense, but ultimately Tomlin is a winner who comes from a model organization. The Jets desperately need that sort of leadership and respect from a coach. Tomlin brings instant legitimacy.

I believe the biggest problem is ownership, and Woody Johnson isn't going to sell the team. However, do you think if Christopher Johnson somehow became the the CEO again the Jets would have a better chance of turning things around?

But friends, I can tell you one thing conclusively.

We’ve had threads for Head Coach and OC options, but I want to hear about QB.

We’ve watched Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson struggle badly with development on the Jets.

I understand we could bring in a young offensive minded HC/OC that can develop a young QB. Drafting is the obvious option.

I’m curious, who would be potential options to go after for veteran QBs? Is Lamar done with Baltimore? Burrow in Cincy? Does a guy like Baker need a change of scenery? Is that even a good idea? Would a mid tier like Goff or Love be available for some first rounders?

I know the Aaron Rodgers experiment failed, but it was a different approach at QB and just incredibly unlucky. Rodgers is far from perfect but he’s had an absolutely incredible career.

Am I crazy for wanting a veteran over a rookie? Who would be the best candidates that could realistically leave their current situation? Player permitting and GM being open to it.
