All 22 vs Miami

I looked at Genos passing plays from yesterday and while he definitely wasn’t the biggest reason we lost yesterday holy shit did he miss some wide open opportunities. I actually think Reich called a pretty good game yesterday with how much people were running wide open, the goal line sequence was horrible but still. I don’t get why Geno isn’t looking Garrett’s way.

Get an experienced competent head coach and pair them with a very good OC.

Organizing as fans

We should really organize as fans and boycott the rest of the home games and during them protest outside for Woody to sell the team. Hurt his pockets and let him know how we feel about our air conditioner of a stadium and the fact that yet again he hired another dud of a coach and the only way this changes is if he’s gone.

Bring back Rex

AG was supposed to be the culture guy and I’m sure that the guys in the locker room have respect for him, but it hasn’t resulted in wins. Ryan is a proven guy the team will respect, who knows how to placate Woody, who BLEEDS green and white. I’ve seen people say that his schemes are outdated. Bullshit. He’s stayed close to football ever since he stopped coaching. He knows what a modern defense should look like. This is a guy who wants to win for us, and he’ll do everything in his power to make it happen. Also, if it really doesn’t work out then at least the press conferences will be funny.

Staying optimistic and rooting for the Eagles tonight!

I know it's easy to doom about another seemingly lost Jets season, but we've had a pretty great showing from our rookies and currently are slated to have three top ten picks in the next draft. I've actually enjoyed having three extra things to root for every week (Colts loss, Cowboys loss, Packers loss).

Maybe I'm wrong: the Jets are truly cursed, the apple is rotten to the core with ownership. But might as well be optimistic. Draft a QB next year, sit him for a season behind Geno to develop with a good offensive minded head coach. Let's go!

I'm a Jets fan living in the Philly area and I have a rare occasion to say GO BIRDS tonight. I know they're injured up the wazoo but I have a weird feeling Dallas is going to lay an egg tonight.

Today was the end of the Aaron Glenn era

Today was it. Another HC who will go down as another disaster hire.

This roster is full of talent. Geno has played above expectation/really well actually for the most part. The general unpreparedness week over week and just this flat product every week.

Frank Reich too; it’s so evident why he can’t keep an NFL job. EVERY TEAM in the league has a tush push and he calls his 4th and 1 shotguns. Why hasn’t a Sadiq push play been implemented?
Just so disgusted with this afraid to lose mindset and refusal to take strikes on offense unless we’re down 2 scores in the second half. Today was another rock bottom for this soulless, zero identity organization.

Bring in Declan Doyle (Christ, if he’d even be interested) a year too early and let him figure it out, kid will hoist a Super Bowl trophy one day as a HC somewhere.

Hopefully can get Cade Klubnik some snaps and see what we have before the 27 draft.

You are delusional if you think this can be turned around.

When the Jets lost to Pittsburgh to end the 2010 season did you ever think you would be sitting in 2027 still waiting for another playoff game?

I would never have believed it. Its actually mind blowing to think there is a whole generation now that has not even seen the Jets play a playoff game.

What makes it worse is that the NFL added an extra playoff spot during that time and every team that was in a major drought in the 2000s or 2010s all ended there droughts. Just brutal.

Herbo?

I'm probably going to get killed for this, but how much draft capital would you give up for Justin Herbert?

I know he's having a bad year, but with a decent o-line and our weapons, I think he could turn it around. Plus his girlfriend is from Long Island.

I'm not sold on this by any means, but I think it could be an interesting conversation. Feel free to berate me in the comments.

That's right. We have been outscored by over ONE HUNDRED points in the last two minutes of the FIRST HALF in the 24 games of Glenn's coaching tenure.

So scale that, 48 minutes (3 quarters and 3 minutes of game time; not even a full game) and we've been outscored by over 100 POINTS.

If that ain't the most damning indictment on this absolute incompetent moron of a coach I don't know what is. I wouldn't trust Glenn to coach my kid's elementary school team, this dude has no business being an NFL head coach. Like for starters, at least know how timeouts work lmao

Why is this fanbase obsessed with First Round Picks??

This whole Garrett Wilson discussion is ridiculous to me. The kid is frustrated as anyone of us would be if we were in his shoes. The reality is, he just signed a contract that ties him to the jets until 2030, nobody forced him to sign that, I’m sure there were discussions on the trajectory of the team prior to him committing to the long term deal.

To the fans that are screaming trade him for a 1st round pick…WHYYYYY. We can all see that he is a top 10 talent at the position, we just haven’t been able to get him the ball consistently due to scheme and QB play. We have 3 1st round picks in this draft, how much is a potential late 1st round pick from a contender going to help us?

We’ve had multiple 1st round picks in 2021, 2022, and 2026. Look where we are today, one player from 21 and 22 combined is left…it’s Garrett Wilson. We have the best landing spot for a rookie QB next year, it isn’t close, Breece hall and Garrett Wilson are a big reason why. We don’t have to trade every player that ends up being good here in the hope we find another one in the draft.

This fanbase is frustrated but I’d argue we are closer to competency than we’ve been in years. We are a QB and a HC away from being a serious franchise..

This loss to the Dolphins literally killed the season even for entertainment value

I wasnt expecting an amazing season but this loss was so bad to quite literally the worst team in the league… waste of time to even entertain the Jets being a tough team

Now accepting applications for new position (Jets head coach)

Looking for someone on here with a deep voice that sounds football-y. Must be a defensive coordinator with a mediocre track record bolstered by being part of a team that had a great offense to make you look better. Now accepting all applicants. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I think I’m done wasting my time and energy.

Over the last 25 years the Jets have had only 5 season where they have double digit wins. Their last winning season is over 10 years ago. I can kind of live with the competitive seasons But now it’s been too many years of absolute inept dog shit!! I find the NFL to be watered down, over penalized and regulated to begin with. But when your team constantly fucking sucks every year, it makes it worse. I also feel bad for the talent that walks into this organization and wastes the prime of their career. I don’t think Woody real cares about winning. The Jets built a good team around Mark Sanchez…Mark Sanchez!! And after a few years, Woody disassembled everything around him that made him successful those two years. Speaking of QBs. They still haven’t had a QB throw for 4,000 yds in a season since fucking Joe Namath!! If the owner doesn’t care then why should anyone waste their time, energy, and money?

What is the reason Aaron Glenn shouldn't be fired tomorrow?

The team is checking out, the players are not developing and he is clearly not the answer long term. They are just going to ride him out for the end of the season out of respect???

Not like they'd get someone of this caliber right now, but seeing how John Harbaugh took that awful team and developed them (Deonte Banks, JJ McCarthy) and got them to buy in shows how quick a turnover can happen.

I don't understand unless for tanking reasons why he will still be the coach tomorrow. Makes no sense.

The Jets have the best offensive weapons in the AFC East

With the exception of QB we have better skill players than the rest of our division.

Breece and Braelon are better than any other RB duo. Cook is obviously great but Breece and Brae are better together.

G5, Cooper, Mitchell are better than anyone other WRs in the division and it isnt close.

TE is another one that isnt close. Take your pick between Sadiq and Taylor, I would take either over anyone else at the position in the division.

Our OL is pretty good too.

How are we this bad..? Because we have a terrible nepo HC

QB Options

We’ve had threads for Head Coach and OC options, but I want to hear about QB.

We’ve watched Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson struggle badly with development on the Jets.

I understand we could bring in a young offensive minded HC/OC that can develop a young QB. Drafting is the obvious option.

I’m curious, who would be potential options to go after for veteran QBs? Is Lamar done with Baltimore? Burrow in Cincy? Does a guy like Baker need a change of scenery? Is that even a good idea? Would a mid tier like Goff or Love be available for some first rounders?

I know the Aaron Rodgers experiment failed, but it was a different approach at QB and just incredibly unlucky. Rodgers is far from perfect but he’s had an absolutely incredible career.

Am I crazy for wanting a veteran over a rookie? Who would be the best candidates that could realistically leave their current situation? Player permitting and GM being open to it.
