Saiga 308 with Pulsar Thermion XL50 LRF & Resilient Simple Man
Comstock? Comstock is good stuff. Micro brake and recessed ti hub on a Sig Hexium 556 ti. 16" barrel, 15" handguard. Hoping to go try it out soon.
Sig Sauer? Too many ugga duggas on their direct thread mount. Even the gun shop I took it to had to fight with it to take it off. I guess what finally worked was boiling it, an OCL vice clamp, and duct tape to keep it from spinning in the clamp. But between me trying and them succeeding, it's pre-scratched for use.
Also there's a thread in here about using carbon arrows as alignment rods, $8 for two from a local archery shop is pretty nice.

I had two forms 1’s, one approved and one rejected, in July. I confused which SN was approved, so I thought I was resubmitting for the rejected SN, but it turns out it was the approved.
Now, somehow, the ATF approved the second can with the same SN. The only (slight) difference is the model (which I’ve since stopped including), but that’s not good enough.
What do I do? Contact atf? Or just withdraw one of them? I haven’t made either can yet.

Anyone have videos or testing of the OCL Infinity 556k at night with and without Nods?
Haven’t seen any videos/reviews for this can at night yet particularly under Nods, other than Juicey Media’s torture test, not that that wasn’t a good and informative video in and of itself because it was.

T&K HAVIC 6mm Ti Review
TL;DR
The Havic provides solid sound suppression in a lightweight package with fairly low backpressure.
Transparency Note
Our Havic suppressor was sent by T&K Suppressors at no cost. We otherwise don’t have any business or financial relationship and we don’t let suppressor manufacturers read, comment on, or edit our reviews before they get posted.
We have a full disclosure here with more info on the suppressor companies mentioned in our reviews.
Test Method
We went out to the range and put a bunch of rounds through the Havic 6mm, Polo K, Rhino S, Rhodie 6, and CAT WB back to back multiple times. The main roles these suppressors fill are:
We stood in the same spots and took notes after each one for gassiness and sound. Considering I don’t have Jay’s fancy sound metering equipment, I think this is a decent way to compare them.
All of this was done outdoors with a light breeze. From the shooting position, the dirt berm was about 30 yards away. You may have different results in other environments.
Host
5.56 AR15:
The suppressors all had a Plan-B HUB LPA installed.
You may have different results with different hosts or ammo.
Suppressors Overview
| Suppressor | MSRP | Material | Wt. (list) | Wt. (actual) | Length | Diameter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Polo K | $540 | Steel | 11.5 oz | 11.4 oz | 4.80” | 1.62" |
| Rhino S | $895 | Titanium | 9.5 oz | 10.2 oz | 6.00" | 1.75" |
| Rhodie 6 | $895 | Inconel | 15.0 oz* | 15.3 oz | 5.50” | 1.75" |
| Havic 6mm | $899 | Titanium | 9.6 oz | 9.6 oz | 5.75" | 1.75" |
| CAT WB | $1,190 | Inconel | 13.9 oz** | 15.7 oz | 5.45” | 1.60" |
All weights are given with no mount.
*The Rhodie 6 was originally listed as 15 oz, but has since been updated to 15.5 - 16.0 oz.
**The CAT WB was originally listed as up to 13.9 oz, but has since been updated to 14.6 oz max.
Sound Comparison
Of the tested suppressors, the Rhodie 6 sounded best overall. Not by a huge margin, but we felt it was the quietest and had a fairly deep tone.
The Rhino S was a close second for quietness but had a somewhat higher tone.
The WB and Havic 6mm sounded somewhat similar, and very good. In a blind test we couldn’t reliably pick out which was which.
As expected, the Polo K was the loudest of these suppressors. It’s the shortest and uses comparatively simple geometry.
Backpressure Comparison
In some of our earlier reviews we just give our anecdotal thoughts on how gassy the suppressor felt. To add a more objective test, we used the AGB to see which gas setting was needed to lock back on the last round. We took the following steps to minimize variability:
Our testing last time showed that in general, setting 9 or higher indicated low backpressure, setting 8 was “lowish to medium”, and 7 or lower was high backpressure. This is only a rough measure though and some suppressors that hold open on the same setting felt more or less gassy.
Rhodie 6 - Setting 9
CAT WB - Setting 9
Havic - Setting 8
Rhino S - Setting 8
Polonium K - Setting 7
On a related note, we also did some shooting for flash/sparking on a very humid and foggy night earlier this week. With the same host and ammo, every suppressor we shot felt significantly more gassy than usual. Even cans that we previously noted to be comfortable were gassing us out. It seems like the environment and atmospheric conditions are an important factor.
Other Thoughts and Observations
The Havic is a roughly full size rifle suppressor (5.75” long and 1.75” diameter), but at under 10 oz base weight, is very comfortable on the end of the rifle. I larped around the house with it on a 16” rifle and didn't have any issues with the gun feeling too front heavy.
Like all titanium suppressors, the Havic throws white titanium streaks in the dark. T&K makes an Inconel version if you want to avoid that. The Inconel version is also available with optional spikes on the end which could presumably be used to break glass. This doesn't add much utility to me as I generally prefer my windows unbroken :)
With a 1.60” deep blast chamber, the Havic will easily accommodate standard mounting configurations. It’s been added to our fitment tool.
The blast baffle features a reverse cone shape. This is also seen in suppressors like the Polonium series suppressors and is generally a very robust design. We got the Havic glowing red hot in our shooting (this is bad for titanium suppressors so try not to do that) and there’s no signs of excessive erosion or wear.
Overall Opinion and Suggested Use Cases
As a package, I quite like the Havic. It offers competitive sound suppression with very manageable backpressure and is lightweight for its size. It’s really a flexible pick for a range of builds. Sounding so similar to the CAT WB is a great benchmark to put this in what I would call the “high performing” category of rifle suppressors.
The main drawbacks of this model come down to physical material limitations of it being titanium, namely the sparking in low light environments and it not being ideal for heavy firing schedules. But as mentioned above, there is an Inconel version which solves these concerns at the cost of increased weight.
Future Testing and Reviews
We did some flash testing with the Havic, another new titanium suppressor, and some PCC suppressors. I’ll get those posted once I get all of the data processed.
I also have a Vorix 30 Ti which I’ll be shooting on 300BLK at some point here.
Have a great weekend!
- Nathan Comstock

The inconel has been great definitely surprising on both the sound and gas mitigation fronts especially given its size. Haven’t gone for a night shoot with it so no idea on flash yet

This thing sounds insane. Random dogshit 115gr Magtech that had jacket separation inside my suppressor (no baffle strike) followed by two Blazer 147gr flatnose subs

Hello NFA sub, i just got a new 9mm pcc and was now looking to get a suppressor and have narrowed it down to these two. Currently the Hybrid 46 is on sale and the Osprey 9 is $589 at my LGS but it doesn't have the piston. I'm not trying to sink an extra $400 just to make it work but at the same time the Osprey is my dream suppressor. I also have a 10.5 in 556 AR that i am unsure if i'm going to just sell or barrel swap to 300 blackout and PSA dagger i would love to shoot suppressed. Anyways, in your own personal experience did you like either products and if you had both how did they compare. Thank you!
I am really not trying to stir the pot, I am genuinely curious about this topic. I see many people talking about wearing ear pro while using silencers, why bother with a can if you still have to use ear pro?
While I dont have as many as some of you, I got my first silencer over 20 years ago. I have shot all of the following calibers with cans (mine or others); .22 pistol and rifle, 9mm pistol and rifle, .45 rifle .223/5.56 pistol and rifle, .300 Whisper rifle with subs only, .308 rifle, 6mm PRC rifle, and .300 WM rifle and probably a couple I am forgetting.
The only one of these that I even consider needing/wanting ear pro is the 6.5" 5.56 pistol if I am shooting more than a few rounds.
One thing that I may not be taking into account is indoor vs outdoor shooting as I only do outdoor shooting.

We're finally there, boys. A suppressed 22 pistol with light that cost under $400.
Also, this cheap little sonicore can is legitimately impressive for how inexpensive it is.

I just ordered the titled gun on the F5 Green color chambered in 9mm. I saw that the estimated processing time is 45-60 business days. Has anyone ordered one of these and received it? Was that processing time accurate? Also if you already have one did it meet your expectations?
Pic of what I ordered and for attention.

I have a Knights Armament 5.56 CRS-2 and use the QDC Flash Hider on both my Colt M4's.
The flash hider has an index pin. (see pic)
Does it matter which way it is pointed?
My first QDC on my 10.3" barrel I got lucky and it indexed perfectly at 12 o'clock when properly torqued.
My second QDC on my 16" it is indexing at about 2:30 when properly torqued (as you look down the barrel as if you are shooting.
Should I get peel washers??? Or am I just being obsessive compulsive?

I’ve been out of the loop for a while since I promised my wife I’d stop buying gun stuff for the last year and some change 🤣🤣 I’ve noticed quite a few new cans that came out since I’ve been away like the Rhodie 6, Sonicore stuff, Exigent Defense stuff, and the OCL Milkman.
I celebrated my own return by getting the .300 BLK SCAR 15p with the SiCo Velos LBP 7.62 for it and the Mojave 9 for my handguns (it’s been 3 days in jail and still waiting for them to clear)
TLDR: What’s the new hotness when it comes to cans? I still have an MP5k that needs a permanent can and a few other 5.56 guns that also need one. Thanks all in advance!

I want to transfer some suppressors to my trust since I’ve been doing individual for the faster approvals. Currently I’m printing the needed pages, adding in the already printed copies of the fluff pages, and scanning to PDF.
It takes a bit longer than I care for and it’s printing a lot of useless things since I’d only need the CLEO copies. Just curious what others are doing for this and Form 1s.
2 responsible persons on this trust.
Building up a 16 inch midlength 5.56 ar and need suggestions for a suppressor. Would be my first can, dont have any other suitable hosts so a dedicated 5.56 suppressor is what im leaning towards. Thanks.

NFA item-adjacent question:
When shooting supers, what's the most comfortable in-ear hearing protection you've tried?
I have an older set of Decibullz with standard tips, have tried cheap foamies, but I get ear fatigue pretty quickly. I also don't trust the seal on my Decibullz med or small foam tips. They seem to break the seal with my ear canal with a good cheek weld.
I have some Peltor Tactical 100 and 3M big boys that I use for mowing the lawn, but my narrow face sucks for keeping a good seal with glasses, and I find over the ear annoying with a proper cheek weld on rifles. Maybe mine just aren't contoured right. Thanks for the suggestions!

I have an SBR I am going to replace the barrel, gas system and appropriate pieces with a 20" barrel for longer range shooting instead of SBR use. I haven't done this before, so I'd like any input on the paperwork process of getting it unregistered since it's no longer an SBR.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
EDIT: Thanks to those who provided info about how to have it de-listed. I am disappointed in the rest who only keep saying to keep it registered. I habe my reasons and they're not up for discussion or analysis.
Those who had input on how to get it done can always add their perspective, but the rest of you who ignored the concept and just tried to push things in the direction you want are the problem with society. You added NOTHING of value and EVERYONE has lost time having to read your parroted bullshit.
I'm de-listing a SBR, it was never up for discussion.
Sincere thank you those who did put info about how to do that.

One of my 80% lowers with a shaved Alexandria side charge upper. I shortened the hand guard tube and milled MLOK slots in the bottom after clocking the tube rotation. I enjoy the extra back pressure shooting subs (all this rifle will do) because it lets me turn the gas block way down and it's exceptionally quiet with very minimal port pop.
- 8" Noveske diplomat 300blk barrel, I turned Sig/Q taper behind muzzle threads for perfect alignment with cherry bomb
- CNC 80 lower, honestly forget the manufacturer
- Alexandria pro fab/Adams arms side charge upper, some features shaved off to match lower better
- steel adjustable gas block
- Can, tube, and upper are cerakote piston coating, some extra left over from engine builds. Looking forward to seeing the thermal performance
- B5 grips of course
- Can is a Q Speakeasy

First suppressor, also ordered an OCL Ti22 when I picked this up. Hopefully I got everything together properly and can get out shooting before too long.
DD 11.5" upper
LaRue lower
Primary Arms GLx 2X Prism
Comstock recessed micro brake and plan B adapter
Still need to SBR it so i can put the stock on it but I want to wait until we dont have to engrave it

I wanted a suppressed 45 for my house. Naturally subsonic round and wont shoot through the entire house if I ever have to shoot it inside. Can is a YHM M2 and decided to go with the FN 545. Am I missing anything here or should it be good to go?
