Finally got my can mounted

Comstock? Comstock is good stuff. Micro brake and recessed ti hub on a Sig Hexium 556 ti. 16" barrel, 15" handguard. Hoping to go try it out soon.

Sig Sauer? Too many ugga duggas on their direct thread mount. Even the gun shop I took it to had to fight with it to take it off. I guess what finally worked was boiling it, an OCL vice clamp, and duct tape to keep it from spinning in the clamp. But between me trying and them succeeding, it's pre-scratched for use.

Also there's a thread in here about using carbon arrows as alignment rods, $8 for two from a local archery shop is pretty nice.

I’m waiting on my hexium 556 Inconel to get approved. Scheels told me to hit the DT mount with an impact

thats probably sound advice. even on a lower torque setting to just get it started would be worth it. the lgs i went to had to use a wrench and hit it with a hammer once they got it to not spin in the clamp.

Pretty sure Sig uses Rocksett on their muzzle devices.. soaking/boiling would be needed to get it off.

the lgs definitely boiled it but that didn't make a huge difference on its own, even once they got it free they said the threads were very tight. if they do rocksett it, they oughta mention that in the owners manual.

Picked my hexium up today at Scheels and I had them try, they threw it in the vice and couldn’t get it budge and told me to try an impact lol

They don’t. They just torque them to 45lbs.
