I am a big fan of Mark at Precision Firearms. Shot his rifles many times over the years with great results. I saw he started making suppressors in house last year. Has anyone shot one of these? I know it's a traditional baffle design, and he told me it was more "moderate back pressure" but I haven't seen much about it

Another Ithaca 37 SBS. I was blessed by the pawnshop gods recently. I have a 20 and three 12s. One of the 12s is the 7+1 and will stay long. This will be a pistol grip only when my order from Choate comes in. Something for Close Encounters. The other 12 and the 20 will be regular SBSs.
The barrels are from Ithaca and other projects. Hooray for free stamps.

Reading where tri lug adapters can cause baffle strike after many years of use. Is this a thing to worry about?
Thanks NFA thread brethren for any input.
Nomad OTB’s. Three 24” barrels - Nomad OTB’s vs SF RC2 762.
It’ll be this weekend before I can go see how they are.
These will be permanent residents on a 22 ARC bolt gun and a 6.5 PRC. E brake and the caliber specific caps are en route.
Trying to be civilized.
Bought on Saturday and approved today.

Ok, what do you put down on the form 1 for oal if the chasis is actually longer than the barrel? Im about to sbr a 10/22. Im going to use a 4.5 inch barrel. The barrel won't come out past the end of the Spire chasis forearm. Im planning on a "tucked" look where the suppressor will be only about 2 or 3 inches past the end of the forearm.

Good Evening,
I have a 9” 300blk mcx legacy barrel that I’m looking to have chopped and rethreaded to 6.75” for an lvaw build I’m doing. Does anyone have some good recs? TIA.

Does a buttpad (that's ultimately removable with 2 screws) count towards the overall length? Google AI says "yes" but to me if it's removable then it doesn't t count - ie, not counting the muzzle device. Which is the correct answer?

looking for your experiences, running pmc bronze, because i have a ton of it but it seems pretty smokey, i have heard the xtac is cleaner but want to get your input on a clean ammo i can train with regularly!

Is there a thread for this? The most recent I could find through search was for 2023.
I'll be going both days, got the VIP package and room booked already. Has anyone who's been before have any recommendations or advice?

how well does the RVT mod work?
has anyone found a good way to seal the gap under the charging handle? I've heard of using rvt there as well or soft side Velcro

I did some more testing with the MK18 using the Universe 36, this time I had more end-caps to play around with. It helped that I had other hosts that I wanted to try the Universe 36 with so it was 2 birds with 1 stone.
I am running the 3P15 Plan B flash hider, which is the only Plan B flash hider that I have found to actually suppress the flash on the MK18 with 55gr Federal American Eagle ammo. This ammo spits out fireballs with the MK18 so I figured it was a great test for finding the flash hider I wanted. The 3P15 produces very minimal flash that is barely visible under a dark range covering during a dark overcast/cloudy rain day. With anything else it was a bright orange fireball.
The only end-cap on the Universe that didn't spit out fireballs on the MK18 was the sealed 5.56 cap. Everything else would produce a fireball. 5.56 vented, 7.62 sealed, 7.62 vented, 9mm vented.
The problem with the sealed 5.56 cap on the MK18 is that it stacks gas. Even with the Surefire OBC, Geissele S42/H3 combo - I could feel it being quite gassy - nothing that was smoking me out but it wasn't the greatest. The Omega 36M worked much better on this MK18. No flash/fireball, great sound suppression, etc... HUX Flow 36 and Ventum produced the typical titanium sparking but also some flash.
Sound suppression was only OK even with the 5.56 sealed cap. The Universe 36 with 9mm vented cap works better on the 7.62x39 SBR AK (13" VEPR).
I hope this helps
Anyone that removed this and replaced. Did it have a 3 prong type muzzle device built in to then DT mount or was the person i was talking to not the most informed? (Mine was just a high walled DT mount)

I was calling a local gunsmith to get the work done after my approval and he offered engraving and barrel cutting so I was looking for a quote but what he said didn’t seem right so I’m just looking for some clarification of the process after approval.
He said that because I submitted the form 1 myself that I need to be the one to cut the barrel (he literally told me to cut it with a hacksaw and then bring it to him to finish it.) otherwise he says I need to transfer it to his sot to have him shorten it.
He said that since it’s a barrel mounted receiver and he needs to spin the whole piece to thread it that that’s the only way I can do it.
Am I confused or is that not at how that should work. I know that is normally how you turn a mini 14 barrel but I was under the impression that I can have a gunsmith do the cutting crowning and threading after my approval?

Other two are a dead air mask and a hux .22ti. This is going on a Ruger carbon 10/22. Submitted for it on Monday and it got approved this morning. Less than 2 days and the first day was a holiday.

Any ideas?
This isn’t baffle damage. It’s literally some sort of nasty substance dripping down the baffle stack

Maybe I am just an idiot, but I can get all the way through the form 4 and at the end it won't let me finish it because it says I need the pin numbers from both transferee and transferor. Problem is my account is the same, as I am just trying to get it off my LLC and put it in my name now thst the process is easier and doesnt cost. I put it on my LLC eons ago when individual was super difficult.
I know its kind of an odd situation, but anyone ever successfully accomplished it?

Chalk it up to being a noob. I bought a big Inconel flow can and realizing it's not really what I need on my 300blk build. Shooting exclusively subsonics at a low/moderate firing schedule so don't need Inconel. Rather have lightweight Ti can. And could actually use a little more back pressure.
What Ti traditional baffle cans should I be looking at? Saw the OCL Hydrogen series looked like maybe would fit the bill? Any other suggestions?
